The second half of Konoha year 46.
Ye Yue Ling was appointed as the Vice Captain of the Hidden Cloud Village’s vanguard force, with Yezhue Ai as the Captain and Tutai as the strategist.
The Third Raikage held the fort at the Hidden Cloud Village.
Killer Bee, Motoi, and Daika were all in the vanguard force.
Although Killer Bee had lost the Eight-Tails, he had refined his Seven-Sword Style swordsmanship, and could even perform hand signs while swinging his blades.
He now possessed strength close to that of an Elite Jonin!
As for Motoi, he finally found his favorite Summoning Beast, the Golden Eagle.
A five-meter-tall Golden Eagle, combined with Motoi, could barely hold its own against a Jonin.
Daruze had also refined his Storm Release over the past few years, and he had removed the word’Special’ from in front of ‘Special Jonin’.
“Big Brother, the Eight-Tails told me there are enemies ahead!”
Ye Yue Ling called for Yezhue Ai, who was walking at the very front, to stop.
After hearing Ye Yue Ling’s words, Yezhue Ai immediately ordered the troops behind to stop advancing to prevent falling into a trap.
Just then, many Kunai suddenly appeared, stabbing into various places!
A young man with yellow hair appeared in front of the Hidden Cloud Village forces!
“Hidden Cloud Village, withdraw your troops.
You will not be able to take another step forward!”
Having said that, his figure vanished instantly.
The Hidden Cloud Ninjas in the rear were killed one by one by him, yet they couldn’t catch his figure at all!
Seeing Minato Namikaze so dominant, the Konoha Ninjas behind him were greatly boosted in morale and charged toward the Hidden Cloud vanguard force!
“Gyuki, spit ink to obscure the Konoha Ninjas’ vision!”
Ye Yue Ling called out to the Eight-Tails in his heart.
He immediately entered Tailed Beast Transformation.
The transformed Eight-Tails spat out a large amount of ink, almost completely obscuring the Konoha Ninjas’ vision!
“Now’s the time!”
“Tailed Beast Ball!”
Seeing the Konoha Ninjas’ vision blocked by his ink, Ye Yue Ling immediately condensed a Tailed Beast Ball.
If this Tailed Beast Ball were released, the Konoha Ninjas would surely suffer heavy casualties!
“Not good!”
Minato Namikaze saw the situation behind him, and his expression changed drastically.
He used the Flying Thunder God to teleport directly to the Eight-Tails’ head and used Space-Time Ninjutsu to transfer the Tailed Beast Ball away!
But obviously, Ye Yue Ling knew what Minato Namikaze would do!
He hadn’t actually expected to fully condense the Tailed Beast Ball!
It was just to lure Minato Namikaze close to him!
And he used most of the Eight-Tails’ Chakra to increase the electrical power of the Lightning Release Chakra Mode!
The entire Eight-Tails seemed to turn into a flash of lightning, instantly erupting with astonishing electrical power!
Minato Namikaze barely teleported away from the Eight-Tails at the last moment, but his body was inevitably shocked by the intense electricity!
The hairs on his head stood up one by one!
“Minato Namikaze, your speed is truly fast enough!”
Ye Yue Ling praised sincerely.
For Minato Namikaze to react and teleport away within a second was indeed terrifying reaction speed!
“Ah, you are very strong too!”
Minato Namikaze touched his frizzy hair, his expression becoming solemn!
“Ink Clone: Simulation!”
A tall figure appeared beside Ye Yue Ling; it was the Third Raikage!
This technique has many limitations.
The Eight-Tails must fully understand the opponent’s skills, their release methods, physical quality, and so on, to fully simulate them!
Furthermore, the strength is only 30% of the original (in cases where the original is stronger than Ye Yue Ling).
If the original is weaker than Ye Yue Ling, he can summon a clone with 70% strength!
Also, the Ink Clone requires a massive amount of Chakra.
Even the Eight-Tails can only release three at most.
However, because Ye Yue Ling had already wasted a lot of Chakra, he could only release two now!
Two Third Raikages charged toward Minato Namikaze from the left and right!
“Ling, just how did you develop this technique!”
Yezhue Ai was stunned looking at the two versions of his father, and even his speed in killing Konoha Ninjas slowed down!
“Big Brother, this is the result of the joint efforts between Gyuki and me over the past year.
As my strength grows in the future, I can summon even more clones!”
After saying that, to prevent Minato Namikaze from ambushing him, Ye Yue Ling wrapped himself with the Eight-Tails’ tails.
Even without Chakra, it would be difficult for Minato Namikaze to break through!
On the other side, the two Ink Clones activated the Lightning Release Chakra Mode.
The two clones could act on their own, but Ye Yue Ling felt it was better to control them himself.
So, the Eight-Tails controlled one clone, and Ye Yue Ling controlled the other.
The two clones launched a relentless assault on Minato Namikaze!
“Hell Stab: One-Finger Pierce x2!”
Moreover, if Minato Namikaze dodged, they could also change direction to attack the Konoha Ninjas!
Minato Namikaze obviously didn’t want the two Raikage clones to enter the ranks of the Konoha Ninjas and start a massacre.
If it were only Yezhue Ai, the Konoha Ninjas could barely hold him off, given that their overall quality was higher than that of the Hidden Cloud Ninjas.
But if the Third Raikage clones entered, it would be a massacre!
Just as the Third Raikage clones were about to hit him, Minato Namikaze used the Flying Thunder God to dodge at the last second and condensed a Rasengan to attack the Third Raikage clone’s back!
But the greatest advantage of the Ink Clone: Simulation is that as long as the head isn’t destroyed, it can still act even if a large hole is blasted through its body!
Minato Namikaze obviously didn’t know this.
He smashed a Rasengan into the Third Raikage clone, and some skin broke on the Third Raikage clone’s body.
If it were the real person, the defense certainly wouldn’t have been breached.
Although the clone’s defense was broken, it wasn’t serious.
Minato Namikaze didn’t say a word, flashing again and using a Rasengan to repeatedly attack the two clones!
Because Ye Yue Ling and the Eight-Tails couldn’t catch Minato Namikaze, they deliberately left more openings in the back for Minato Namikaze to attack, wasting his Chakra!
After attacking more than a dozen times, Minato Namikaze finally concentrated his Chakra and released a Rasengan larger than the previous ones, opening a large hole in the back of one clone!
“It worked!”
A smile appeared on Minato Namikaze’s face, but it turned into horror in the blink of an eye!
“To think it can still move even after a large hole was opened in its body!
Is this an immortal body?!”
Minato Namikaze forcibly suppressed his horror.
He tried to attack the clone’s limbs.
After all, no matter how immortal it was, if its limbs were severed, it wouldn’t be able to move!
But it wasn’t so simple this time.
The back was an opening deliberately left to waste Minato Namikaze’s Chakra!
But they wouldn’t give Minato Namikaze a chance with the limbs!
Minato Namikaze attacked for a long time without any results, and even made his already low Chakra situation worse!
Minato Namikaze felt he was nearing the end of his rope.
With only a quarter of his Chakra remaining, he could only order the Konoha troops to retreat while he covered the rear!
Nevertheless, under the relentless pursuit of the two Third Raikage clones and Yezhue Ai, nearly half of the troops Minato Namikaze led were killed!
Minato Namikaze suffered a blow in his first time leading a team alone.
After approaching the border of the Land of Fire, the vanguard force continued to push deeper and reported the battle situation to the Hidden Cloud Village, hoping for more Ninja reinforcements.
