The apartment wasn’t very large.
It consisted of a small bedroom, a bathroom, and a combined kitchen and living area.
This was the place assigned to Uzumaki Naruto.
At last, he had left Konoha Hospital.
Ever since he was born, he had lived there continuously.
Three full years.
Now that he was three years old, there was nothing particularly unusual about his appearance.
He looked like any other three-year-old.
Small.
Thin.
Weak.
But no one knew what lay beneath that hospital gown.
Hidden underneath were well-defined muscles and even a set of eight-pack abs.
(T/N:(╯°□°)╯ )
After all, he’d secretly begun training only a few days after birth and had kept at it for three straight years.
With nothing else to do every day, he’d forged an incredibly solid physique.
More importantly.
It was the power hidden inside that body.
At one month old, he had already surpassed an ordinary five-year-old.
By three months, he’d already exceeded the strength of a normal ten-year-old.
Now.
Even without taking Ashura’s chakra into account, his own physical strength alone was enough to defeat an ordinary fifteen-year-old with ease.
And that referred to fifteen-year-olds who had already graduated from the Ninja Academy and become genin.
One shouldn’t underestimate a fifteen-year-old.
Even a fresh genin was far stronger than an ordinary person of the same age.
If chakra enhancement were included.
Naruto’s current physical capabilities were already comparable to those of an eighteen-year-old young man.
And he was only three.
At this moment, however, Naruto simply stood in the doorway, staring blankly at the unfamiliar room.
So Is this my home?
At least until the day he left Konoha, this was where he would be living.
The apartment wasn’t luxurious.
Nor was it spacious.
But for a child, it was more than adequate.
There was also some basic furniture.
A stove.
A few simple pots and pans.
A dining table with chairs.
A refrigerator.
Even a small television sat inside the bedroom.
Beyond that.
There was nothing.
Not a single piece of clothing in the wardrobe.
Not even bedding on the bed.
Looks like I’ll have to buy everything myself.
Naruto fell into thought.
Then he looked down at himself.
He was still wearing the hospital gown.
His blond hair had also grown incredibly long.
It nearly reached the small of his back.
It wasn’t because he’d intentionally grown it out.
No one had ever bothered cutting his hair since the day he was born.
“Looks like I really do need to go shopping.”
Naruto gave a wry smile as he muttered to himself.
And a proper set of clothes.
He couldn’t exactly keep living like this.
He weighed the money pouch in his hand.
The ANBU who had brought him here had already left.
Apparently, from now on, he was expected to take care of himself.
That suited him just fine.
After all, in his previous life he’d been an office worker.
Handling everyday life wasn’t difficult.
The only problem.
He had absolutely no idea what prices were like in this world.
He’d have to learn through experience.
Hopefully the money he had would be enough.
Thinking that, Naruto locked the apartment door behind him with his key.
He looked up to memorize the room number before heading downstairs.
For the first time in his life.
He walked through Konoha alone.
Strangely enough, the apartment building felt rather quiet.
Perhaps few people lived there.
Or maybe everyone had already gone to work.
Once he reached the streets, however.
There were people everywhere.
“Excuse me.”
Naruto stopped a passerby.
“Could you tell me where I can buy clothes and bedding?”
Fortunately, because he’d constantly talked to himself in his mind over the past three years, speaking aloud wasn’t particularly difficult.
The passerby was an ordinary middle-aged man.
Not a ninja.
In truth, most people living in Konoha weren’t shinobi.
Many civilians simply weren’t suited to becoming ninja.
“There’s a department store over there.”
The man pointed down the street.
Kindly giving directions.
“Thank you.”
Naruto politely thanked him before heading off.
However, As Naruto walked away, the man suddenly frowned.
“Feels like I’ve seen that kid somewhere before.”
“Or heard about him.”
“A child with whiskers on his face, wait isn’t that the Demon Fox reincarnation?”
“Damn it what did I just do?”
“How unlucky.”
His attitude changed instantly.
Muttering curses under his breath, he hurried away.
Because of what the man said, the surrounding pedestrians also began pointing toward Naruto’s back.
Small groups gathered together, whispering among themselves.
Naruto heard every word.
He merely paused for a brief moment.
Then continued walking as though nothing had happened.
Did he really not care?
Actually.
He’d already gotten used to it.
Even back at Konoha Hospital, although no one ever voluntarily spoke to him. This story is hosted at g.com.
And whenever he tried asking questions, people reacted with obvious impatience.
He still overheard conversations between nurses and patients.
The words “Demon Fox” appeared constantly.
He’d long since stopped caring.
Continuing onward, Naruto finally arrived at the department store.
“Looks like I’d better buy everything I need today.”
He quietly muttered to himself.
“I wonder if this money will be enough.”
He understood perfectly well that once people fully realized he was the so-called “Demon Fox”.
Buying anything would become much more difficult.
He certainly wasn’t interested in paying people only to have them glare at him.
That would just be pathetic.
Having made up his mind, Naruto began a major shopping spree.
The first priority was clothing.
He bought several changes of clothes, finally replacing the hospital gown.
He deliberately chose outfits resembling sportswear.
Aside from the colors, they already looked quite similar to the orange tracksuits he frequently wore in the original story.
It was a practical choice.
Sportswear was inexpensive.
He would continue training every day.
And it was durable enough to withstand intense exercise.
Next came shoes.
Ninja sandals left the toes exposed and the heels uncovered.
Naruto ignored those entirely.
Instead, he deliberately bought ordinary athletic shoes.
They wouldn’t interfere with movement.
More importantly.
He didn’t want his feet getting injured.
Besides, he wasn’t used to hiding weapons beneath his feet.
Not that he even knew how.
No one had ever taught him.
Afterward, he purchased bedding.
While passing through the grocery section, he also bought some simple ingredients he could cook himself.
To his surprise, they even sold rice.
Perhaps a bowl of rice with a couple of simple stir-fried dishes would solve his daily meals.
He certainly had no intention of surviving on instant ramen.
While he was out, Naruto also found a barber.
Rather than asking for any fancy hairstyle.
He simply had all of his long hair shaved off.
Only a thin layer of short blond stubble remained.
He looked almost like a little monk.
Once everything was finished.
Naruto happily carried several large shopping bags as he headed home.
However, watching a tiny three-year-old effortlessly carrying so many bags left countless passersby dumbfounded.
Then someone suddenly shouted,
“Hey!”
“Look at the whiskers on his face!”
“Isn’t that the Demon Fox reincarnation they kept at Konoha Hospital?”
“Why’s he outside?”
The shopkeepers finally reacted as well.
Expressions of alarm spread across their faces.
“Oh no!”
“We actually sold things to the Demon Fox?!”
