Naruto truly possessed an overwhelming advantage: he knew the story.
Not only did he know everything happening in the present and everything that would happen in the near future, he also knew countless secrets that wouldn’t be revealed until much later.
After all, Naruto ended years ago.
Even Boruto had been running for quite some time.
Regardless of how disappointing the anime-original episodes had been, the manga’s story was still perfectly acceptable.
Combined with all the revelations from the movies and many other supplementary materials.
As a result, even the Sage of Six Paths himself suddenly appeared once again inside Naruto’s mental world.
It seemed he could only manifest there unless both Asura’s and Indra’s chakra were present in the real world.
At the moment, Sasuke had yet to awaken Indra’s chakra.
So the Sage’s chakra could only appear inside Naruto’s spiritual space.
At the same time, Kurama finally saw the Sage of Six Paths once again with his own eyes.
The Nine-Tails immediately became excited.
But before Kurama could greet his creator and reminisce.
The Sage had already impatiently pulled Naruto’s consciousness into the mental world.
“What did you just say?”
The Sage asked excitedly.
“You said my mother’s clan still has other members and they’re planning to threaten the ninja world?”
Even the Sage of Six Paths had become flustered.
For the first time, he realized there were things even he didn’t know.
Although his name was Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo he was actually Kaguya Ōtsutsuki’s child, born on Earth.
He wasn’t a pure-blooded Ōtsutsuki.
Moreover, unlike the anime-original storyline, where Kaguya supposedly married the emperor of an Earth kingdom and gave birth to children through a human husband.
That version was complete nonsense.
The real Kaguya had remained chaste.
After consuming the Chakra Fruit and obtaining godlike power, she ended the endless wars of the ancient era.
She became known as the Rabbit Goddess.
The people blessed her and then she gave birth to her children.
In other words she had given birth alone.
Hagoromo and Hamura had no father.
Only a mother but later as Kaguya’s power became too overwhelming, people’s worship gradually turned into fear.
Instead of calling her a goddess.
They began calling her a demon.
Wasn’t that exactly the same fate suffered by Jinchūriki?
They became Jinchūriki to protect their villages.
Yet in the end they were feared by those very same villagers.
And subjected to endless unfair treatment.
Faced with the Sage’s questions, Naruto wore a strange expression before answering with one of his own.
“You didn’t seriously think your mother just popped out of a rock, did you?”
→_→
The Sage looked at Naruto with a rather awkward expression.
No matter what.
He was technically this boy’s ancestor.
Since Asura’s chakra had attached itself to Naruto.
That proved Naruto was a descendant of Asura and this was how his descendant spoke to him?
Only then did Naruto realize what he’d just said wasn’t he insulting his own ancestors too?
If his ancestors had crawled out of rocks that didn’t exactly make him look any better.
“Ahem.”
He coughed awkwardly before changing the subject.
“Let’s speak seriously.”
“Kaguya Ōtsutsuki came from the Ōtsutsuki Clan.”
“Why do you think she ate the Chakra Fruit in the first place?”
“The truth is she didn’t have much choice.”
“She didn’t consume it to stop the endless wars of ancient times.”
“She did it because she needed the power to deal with an enemy.”
“An enemy?”
The Sage drew in a sharp breath.
He knew better than anyone how powerful his mother had been.
Back then, he and his younger brother had needed to combine their strength just to seal her away.
And now he was suddenly hearing that there had been someone capable of forcing Kaguya to eat the Chakra Fruit in order to fight them?
That revelation was unbelievable.
“And I also know somewhere in another dimension or perhaps outside the ninja world entirely.”
“There’s still another Ten-Tails.”
Naruto casually dropped another bombshell.
The Sage’s eyes widened.
He stared blankly at Naruto.
Even Kurama, imprisoned inside his cage nearby, was dumbfounded.
Both of them simply stared at the child.
Naruto, meanwhile, looked thoroughly pleased with himself.
He had done it on purpose.
Completely on purpose.
“So?”
“Surprised?”
“Didn’t expect that, did you?”
“Kaguya actually came to this world with another Ōtsutsuki.”
“For certain reasons, they fought.”
“And Kaguya won.”
He continued dropping shocking revelations one after another.
“The true purpose of the Ten-Tails is to become the Divine Tree; it absorbs all life on an entire planet and converts it into a Chakra Fruit.”
“That’s how the Chakra Fruit ripened ahead of schedule.”
Then Naruto grinned mischievously.
“So what do you think would happen?”
“If that other Ten-Tails took root here in the ninja world?”
Without waiting for an answer, he suddenly changed topics.
“So how about lending me a little of your Six Paths power?”
“Or better yet just let me borrow your eye techniques.”
“I’m your descendant too.
Why should only the Uchiha inherit your dōjutsu?”
The Uzumaki.
The Senju.
And the Uchiha.
All three clans ultimately descended from one man.
The Sage of Six Paths.
The Sage had two sons.
His elder son, Indra, became the ancestor of the Uchiha.
He inherited the Sage’s Eyes, which eventually became the Sharingan.
His younger son, Asura, became the ancestor of both the Senju and the Uzumaki.
He inherited the Sage’s Body.
That was why both the Senju and Uzumaki possessed extraordinary vitality, immense life force, and especially enormous chakra reserves.
Now, however, Naruto had begun eyeing the power of the eyes.
He couldn’t understand it if all three clans descended from the same ancestor.
Why was the Sharingan exclusive to the Uchiha?
If each branch of the bloodline simply inherited different traits.
Then why had the Sharingan continued to survive all the way to the present among the Uchiha?
Meanwhile Neither the Senju nor the Uzumaki had ever experienced any kind of bloodline reversion.
Not even a single descendant had awakened a Sharingan.
Something about that simply didn’t add up.
The Sage looked deeply at Naruto.
He remembered that three years ago, the boy had already tried asking for Six Paths power.
And now he was even asking for his dōjutsu.
“You mentioned inheriting your ancestor’s power .”
“In that case I shall grant you the power you seek.”
Suddenly the Sage made his move.
He drew a black staff and held it above Naruto’s head.
Then an immense torrent of chakra poured forth.
“This….is both the power of the Six Paths and the Ōtsutsuki bloodline I inherited from my mother.”
