The Senju scout’s eyes locked onto Ren’s position in the canopy.
To him, Ren was just a small, ragged rat hiding in the leaves—a nameless foot soldier completely unworthy of his concern.
He didn’t even bother drawing his main blade, slipping out a basic kunai instead.
His posture was loose, arrogant, and dripping with contempt.
He launched himself forward, expecting the terrified kid to freeze or throw a blind, desperate strike.
Ren didn’t flinch.
His Kazeshira skin had already read the air displacement around the scout’s overconfident leap.
He knew the exact angle of the strike a split second before the man even reached the branch.
The Senju’s arrogance made him predictable—his guard was wide open, his momentum entirely exposed.
Chakra flow to the calves, weight shifting forty degrees left, Ren calculated instantly.
He’s coming in careless, expecting a quick throat slit.
As the scout flew through the air, Ren dropped straight off his branch like a stone, letting gravity pull him under the arc of the attack. This chapter was taken from novelping dot com without permission.
Slamming his palm against the tree trunk, he channeled a sharp, compressed puff of Wind chakra through his fingertips.
Wind Style: Gale Thrust!
The burst of air shoved Ren sideways in mid-air, completely redirecting his fall.
The scout’s smug grin vanished as his blade bit into empty air.
“What—?”
Before the Senju could adjust his momentum, Ren whipped out his stolen trench knife.
Coating the steel with a razor-sharp edge of Wind chakra, he slashed upward as he passed beneath the airborne ninja.
SPLAT!
The wind-infused steel carved through the scout’s iron shoulder plate, opening his torso from hip to collarbone.
Blood sprayed into the falling rain.
The Senju crashed heavily onto the muddy forest floor below, dead before his body stopped rolling.
Ren landed in a low crouch beside the body, his heart thumping in his chest, breathing heavily. Get faster updates on g.com.
His arms throbbed with a sharp, burning ache—forcing Wind chakra through ten-year-old chakra pathways while running his sensory skin was taking a heavy physical toll.

Refining Kinetic Reaction Speed…
Ren wiped the blood from his trench knife on the dead scout’s vest, quickly pocketing the man’s chakra pills and explosive tags.
Down in the distant clearing, fifty yards away, the roaring sound of Madara’s fire and Hashirama’s earth wall echoed through the trees.
Neither of the two prodigies noticed the quiet death in the canopy—they were entirely locked in their own world-shaking clash.
Ren looked toward the distant plumes of steam and fire, his blue eyes cold and calm.
He had no desire to announce himself or play hero.
Meeting Hashirama or Madara right now was a death sentence.
He took two steps backward, keeping his chakra completely suppressed, letting the shadows of the forest swallow him whole as he slipped away unnoticed into the storm.
Fight all you want, Ren thought as he vanished deeper into the woods.
I’ve got what I came for.
