Evaluation: Upon discovering enemies lurking outside the Uchiha clan compound, I chose to report them to the Konoha Military Police Force.
However, the officers at the headquarters were being slaughtered…
I chose to flee to the residential district, only to find even more bodies there…
I finally realized that something had happened to the entire Uchiha clan.
In a disaster like this, where could I go?
No matter where I fled, it seemed to lead to a dead end…
Results: I uncovered part of the truth and survived for a longer time.
However…
I still failed to accomplish anything.
Rating: 5.5.
My knowledge of the Sharingan increased slightly.
I obtained the Mangekyō Sharingan genjutsu—Tsukuyomi (one-time use).
A new passage of text appeared in Rin Nohara’s mind, containing information about the Uchiha clan’s Sharingan.
The Uchiha clan possesses a unique kekkei genkai—the Sharingan.
When the strength of their bloodline reaches a certain threshold and they experience intense emotional stimulation, they awaken this eye.
The Sharingan has three stages, ranked from lowest to highest: one-tomoe, two-tomoe, and three-tomoe.
Most people only know that the three-tomoe stage is the limit of the Sharingan…
However, very few people know that the Sharingan can evolve beyond the three-tomoe stage.
This form is known as—the Mangekyō Sharingan.
The Mangekyō Sharingan possesses various extraordinary dōjutsu abilities, which are often connected to the strongest desires within the person who awakened it.
According to the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, the Sharingan is also known as the “Eye that Reflects the Heart”…
After reading the information, Rin took a deep breath and began organizing her thoughts.
First, the story in the notebook seemed to hold a grudge against the Uchiha.
Every member of the Uchiha clan, including the officers of the Military Police Force, had been slaughtered without mercy…
Such a thing should have been impossible in reality.
The Uchiha were a prominent clan in Konoha with a long history, countless powerful shinobi, and strong unity among their members.
How could anyone possess enough power to massacre the entire Uchiha clan so easily?
The strength of the figure slaughtering everyone inside the Military Police Force headquarters was especially unimaginable.
The headquarters housed a large number of elite shinobi, yet they were completely powerless against him…
Second, because her in-game self had appeared inside the Uchiha clan compound, she had also been drawn into this crisis.
Judging by the results, whether she chose to leave, flee to the Military Police Force headquarters, or head toward the residential district, every path seemed to lead to a dead end.
Was there really no way to survive?
Rin was still unconvinced.
Her score this time was 5.5, which was a significant improvement over her previous attempt.
However, according to the Ninja Academy’s passing score of six points, she had still failed.
Next time, she had to at least earn a passing score.
Otherwise, how could she, an honor student who had entered the Ninja Academy with nearly perfect marks in theoretical knowledge, accept such a result?
Finally, an image slowly emerged in Rin’s mind.
It was a somewhat boisterous-looking boy wearing goggles.
That was…
one of her best friends, Obito Uchiha.
If the danger affected the entire Uchiha clan, would Obito die as well?
If Obito became one of the corpses she had seen lying in pools of blood, what would she do?
A chill ran through Rin’s heart.
She didn’t want Obito to die.
Although the events in the notebook were only part of a game, the story was likely fabricated and would never happen in reality.
Even all the characters within it might be fictional.
But a notebook that could write by itself and create such stories had already exceeded Rin’s understanding.
But what if…
What if this very incident really did happen in the future?
At that thought, Rin clenched her small fists.
She absolutely, absolutely could not allow the events described in the notebook to become reality.
Therefore, she needed to verify one thing.
She needed to find out…
whether the two pieces of knowledge in her mind were true.
If Konoha truly had an organization called Root, and if the Sharingan possessed a more advanced evolutionary form, wouldn’t that explain a great deal?
As she thought about this, Rin’s gaze involuntarily settled on a line of text in the notebook.
I obtained the Mangekyō Sharingan genjutsu—Tsukuyomi (one-time use).
Actually, there was a very simple way to prove whether the Mangekyō Sharingan truly existed.
Tsukuyomi must have been the genjutsu used on her by the person crouching atop the utility pole.
Its effect was to trap her in a beautiful dream that ultimately led to her death.
This technique seemed both beautiful and dangerous.
Since the notebook had rewarded her with one use of Tsukuyomi, could she try using it in reality?
If this technique could truly be used, then…
At that moment, Rin suddenly sensed someone approaching her.
The person even leaned over her shoulder to peek at her notebook.
Startled, she hurriedly closed the notebook with both hands and looked up at the person.
Her forehead collided with the head that had leaned over her.
Then, she saw Obito Uchiha hopping around in front of her while covering his nose.
“Ow! That really hurts, Rin. Ow, ow, ow!”
Rin immediately looked exasperated.
So…
it was only Obito.
Obito was as careless and reckless as ever.
Still, when she saw blood flowing from Obito’s nose, she immediately became worried.
She hurriedly searched her pockets, pulled out a white handkerchief, and handed it to him.
“Obito, hurry and wipe away the blood.”
A hint of embarrassment immediately appeared on Obito’s face.
He awkwardly accepted the handkerchief Rin had given him and wiped the blood from his nose.
He then raised his other hand to adjust the goggles sitting crookedly on his forehead and said sheepishly:
“Rin, I saw you staring at your notebook for a long time, and I was curious about what you were looking at… so I leaned over to take a look. Haha, I didn’t expect your notebook to be blank without a single word written in it.”
Rin froze, immediately forgetting everything else, and hurriedly asked:
“Obito, what did you just… say? Are you sure there isn’t a single word in my notebook?”
Obito nodded innocently.
While Rin wasn’t looking, he quietly hid the handkerchief behind his back.
“Yeah, there isn’t a single word. So you were just spacing out earlier, Rin. Sorry for bumping into you. Does it still hurt?”
Rin’s head did ache slightly from the collision, but Obito had clearly gotten the worse of it.
She chided him, “Obito, if you want to look at my notebook in the future, just tell me. Don’t sneak up on me.”
She paused and looked at the handkerchief Obito was hiding behind his back.
One corner was clearly sticking out, yet he still seemed convinced that she hadn’t noticed it.
Obito still liked hiding things behind his back, and his hiding skills were still terrible.
She couldn’t help but giggle, and much of the gloom that had weighed upon her heart faded away.
“Obito, if you like this handkerchief so much, then… I’ll give it to you.”
Obito’s eyes lit up, and an excited expression appeared on his face.
“Really? Thank you so much, Rin. I’ll treasure it from now on.”
Rin merely smiled and nodded, but her thoughts soon returned to the earlier matter.
Obito couldn’t see the text in the notebook.
Could it be…
that she was the only person who could see those words?
It really helps the fic grow!
