A genin was little more than an ant to them.

Whoosh!

A figure flickered, and the group saw a genin wearing dark sunglasses appear right before their eyes—none other than Ryuu.Full novel: Naruto: Starting With Rinnegan — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Tetsuzan, don’t waste time.

Kill him quickly and move to the next target,” Bunya said casually.

Dealing with a mere genin was something even a sensor‑type ninja could handle with ease.

“Understood!” Tetsuzan replied.

He flipped his hand and pulled out several kunai, his body flashed as he used Body Flicker, and he appeared directly in front of Ryuu in an instant.

He unleashed jonin‑level taijutsu, launching a ruthless attack meant to kill outright.

“Seeking death,” Ryuu said coldly.

With a thought, he activated the Asura Path, and two missiles shot forward straight at his opponent.

At such close range, the missiles arrived in the blink of an eye.

Tetsuzan had no time to react at all; he could only instinctively raise his hands, using his kunai to try to block.

BOOM!

In a violent explosion, Tetsuzan was instantly engulfed by a wave of searing heat, then blown apart into pieces that scattered in all directions.

Silence fell over the area—dead silence.

Bunya and his men were completely stunned.

They had fully expected Tetsuzan to kill a single genin effortlessly, without the slightest difficulty.

But the reality was exactly the opposite: this genin had slain Tetsuzan without breaking a sweat.

What was that terrifying explosive power?

In an instant, Bunya and his men no longer dared to look down on Ryuu even the slightest bit.

“Earth Release: Earth Thorn Spear!” Bunya was the first to snap back to his senses.

He wove hand seals at high speed, and as the earth churned beneath Ryuu’s feet, four extremely sharp stone spears erupted instantly all around him.

The spears thrust toward him at the same time from every direction—front, back, left, and right—blocking off every possible route of retreat or movement.

Ordinary Body Flicker would never be enough to escape.

“Flying Raijin!” For Ryuu, however, this posed no problem at all.

Before the spears could touch him, he calmly activated the Flying Raijin and shifted perfectly out of harm’s way.

“Incredible speed!” Bunya and his men were shocked yet again.

This genin’s Body Flicker was unbelievably fast—so fast that they could not even follow his movements, let alone react in time.

All four of them combined could not track his trajectory or tell where he had gone.

Whoosh!

The next moment, their vision blurred once more, and Ryuu had returned just as suddenly as he had vanished.

Just like before, none of them could tell how he had moved or where he had come from.

“Animal Path!”

The moment he reappeared, Ryuu wasted no time and immediately activated the Animal Path, summoning a swarm of creatures to his side.

Because his chakra reserves were limited, the beasts he summoned were nowhere near as massive or overwhelming as those used by Pain.

His were roughly the size of large dogs or wolves on the ground, and as large as hawks or eagles in the air.

In an instant, flying and land‑dwelling creatures surged forward all at once, charging straight at Bunya and his men.

(These summons are part of the Rinnegan’s innate power, just like the Outer Path statue—no separate contracts or taming are required.

While Ryuu could seek out and form new contracts if he wished, the ones already granted by the Rinnegan were more than enough for now.)

“He actually commands so many different summons?!”

Most ninja had only one summoning contract; for someone to have a whole army of them was unheard of.

Still, these were seasoned, highly skilled jonin with years of combat experience.

Surrounded by a horde of summons, they did not panic—they stayed calm and composed, using their abilities to defend themselves with steady, practiced skill.

The creatures posed no real threat to them.

Ryuu knew this perfectly well.

He had not summoned them to kill his enemies, but only to distract them and draw their attention away from his true attack.

His real killing blow remained the Asura Path.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

While the summons swarmed around Bunya and his men, Ryuu unleashed another barrage of missiles, striking them with relentless force.

Using the Animal Path and Asura Path in perfect coordination, Ryuu trapped the three remaining jonin in a desperate, high‑stakes fight for survival.

As for any chance they had of fighting back?

With the Flying Raijin at his disposal, they could not so much as graze him.

The deafening explosions continued for a time, then faded into silence.

Once the smoke and dust had fully cleared, the ground was left scarred and broken, the scene one of utter carnage.

Of the four Iwagakure jonin, three lay dead.

Bunya alone remained alive—badly battered, bleeding heavily, and barely able to stand.

If Ryuu’s chakra had not run out at the very last moment, Bunya would have been struck down by that relentless barrage as well.
