Over these six months, Iwagakure and Konoha had held many rounds of negotiation and finally signed an armistice treaty.

Yet Konoha had barely enjoyed a brief respite when Kirigakure began stirring restlessly.

Friction flared up along the borders on both sides—truly, these were troubled times.Full novel: Naruto: Starting With Rinnegan — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

For Ryuu, however, the half‑year had been remarkably fruitful.

By checking in at the Uchiha clan compound, he had earned [Dōjutsu — Amaterasu] and [Dōjutsu — Tsukuyomi], completing the powers of his Eternal Mangekyō which had previously been nothing but name.

Now his Eternal Mangekyō was truly so — and Susanoo had awakened for him as well.

More than that, his daily check‑ins had brought him the Rasengan, the Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu, and many other powerful ninjutsu, plus sealing arts such as the Four‑Symbols Seal and the Eight Trigrams Seal.

He had even received the god‑tier taijutsu of the Eight Gates.

His chakra reserves had surged, rising fully to the standard of a Chūnin.

Compared to half a year ago, his overall strength had undergone a transformation so vast it was like night and day.

Were he to face Ōnoki now, he could defeat him with effortless ease — his arsenal of overpowered abilities was simply too great.

Tsukuyomi or Amaterasu alone would be enough to bring the Tsuchikage to his knees.

Unlike Itachi Uchiha, who had awakened the Mangekyō but never advanced to the Eternal version, Ryuu faced no such strain.

Itachi could never wield Tsukuyomi or Amaterasu freely — his eyes would bleed and burn after even brief use.

Ryuu’s eyes, granted by the system as the Eternal Mangekyō, suffered no such burden.

He could unleash Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu again and again without hesitation or fear.

Nor were those his only new dōjutsu.

Over six months of check‑ins, he had received other ocular abilities as well — all equally usable without strain.

Those other techniques, however, paled so far beside Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu that Ryuu paid them little mind.

They would likely sit unused in his system inventory, gathering dust.

“I wonder when I’ll get Shisui’s Kotoamatsukami… or Obito’s Kamui,” he mused.

His patrol complete, he stepped into Ichiraku Ramen.

“Ryuu!

The usual?” Teuchi greeted him warmly.

Over these months Ryuu had become a regular, nearly a daily fixture.

“Same as always — one bowl!” Ryuu replied with a wave.

He ate heartily, paid, and stood to leave.

“Thanks, Teuchi‑san — see you later!”

“Off to train again?” Teuchi asked casually.

“Of course!”

Teuchi chuckled.

“You really are quite the ‘Uchiha who neglects his proper duties,’ aren’t you?”

Over these months Teuchi had come to know this Uchiha differently from the rest of the clan — no arrogance, no haughtiness, but approachable and easy‑going.

He felt comfortable enough to tease him.

Word had spread across the village: whenever he had free time, Ryuu vanished to the training grounds to practice taijutsu.

The nickname had stuck — the Uchiha who neglected his duties.

After all — wasn’t an Uchiha supposed to master ninjutsu and genjutsu?

Why waste time on taijutsu?

Had he lost his mind?

Whispers followed him everywhere.

Even within the Uchiha clan, many frowned on him — feeling he brought shame upon the clan.

Ryuu paid them no mind.

He continued his training just as before.

That discipline was exactly why his chakra had grown so fast.

He simply used every hour others spent practicing ninjutsu — and devoted it entirely to building his body.

“Ryuu!

Over here!

Let us pour our sweat into the river of youth!”

No sooner had he stepped onto the training ground than Might Guy hailed him enthusiastically.

He grinned broadly, and his teeth seemed to glint brightly in the sun.

Months of daily training had forged a close bond between them. This chapter is updated first at novelping.com.

They had become inseparable friends.

Though Guy still appeared timid and self‑conscious before strangers, around those he trusted he was entirely, unrestrainedly himself.

Huff — huff — huff!

Thud — thud — thud!

They threw themselves into their drills with relentless energy.

“Ryuu!

There you are!”

Before long, Yūhi Kurenai came hurrying over, breathless and visibly excited.

Over these months she too had come to the grounds regularly — sometimes practicing taijutsu, sometimes refining her genjutsu and ninjutsu — working just as diligently as he.

The three had grown familiar with one another.

And since both Ryuu and Kurenai excelled in genjutsu, they often compared notes, shared insights, and exchanged advice.

A warm friendship had formed.

“Kurenai — what brings you here?” Ryuu paused, wiping sweat from his brow.

“Can’t I visit if there’s nothing wrong?” she teased, rolling her eyes.

“Of course you can.

But you’re practically glowing… so clearly something has happened.” Ryuu smiled, realization dawning.

“Wait — don’t tell me… you’ve mastered the Triple Blossom Illusion?”

“Ugh — how did you guess instantly?” Kurenai pouted.

She was far more lively and expressive in these younger days than the composed woman she would one day become.

“Your face is practically shouting it,” Ryuu said, amused.

“You’re barely holding back a grin.”

“Well then…” Kurenai looked up at him, eyes bright with anticipation.

“Ryuu… would you like to try it out?” “Monday to Friday – Update 3 Chapters a Day”
