“Attack!”
At their leader’s command, every Root operative surrounding Ryuu drew a storm of kunai, shuriken, and other weapons.
They hurled them all at once.
SWISH!
SWISH!
SWISH!
The air turned black with steel — no gap left anywhere.
Against such a deluge, no taijutsu, however supreme, could deflect every single blow.
No matter how fast one moved, something would strike.
There was nowhere to hide.
Flying Raijin!
In that instant, Ryuu vanished — gone in a blink, eerily and utterly.
“Such speed… how is this possible?!” Danzō’s eye widened in shock.
Everything he understood about “taijutsu” was being shattered.
He had simply assumed this was some extreme physical technique — never guessing the truth.
After all, the Flying Raijin was Minato Namikaze’s legendary space‑time ninjutsu — all but impossible to master.
Since its creation by the Second Hokage, only Minato had ever wielded it.
While Danzō and his men searched frantically, a sudden, crushing pressure swept toward him.
Danzō spun sharply, senses screaming danger, and loosed a volley of kunai.
CLANG!
CLANG!
CLANG!
Ryuu struck the weapons aside — but Danzō had already blurred away. The source of this chapter is g.com.
BOOM!
Ryuu’s foot slammed into the earth, blowing a massive crater where Danzō had stood an instant before.
“Lord Danzō!”
“Protect him!”
The remaining Root guards surged forward, throwing themselves between Danzō and Ryuu.
Ryuu charged straight into them.
With the Four Gates open, his strength far outstripped any ordinary jōnin.
Root’s elite fell before him in seconds — dead or broken.
He showed no mercy.
Silence returned.
Only Danzō remained.
He stared at Ryuu in disbelief — every hand he had brought lay defeated.
He could summon more, but this was meant to be a secret test.
He dared not draw too much attention.
“You hide your strength well… very well.
Let me see exactly what you are capable of!” Danzō stepped forward, prepared to fight himself.
Four Gates are not enough to subdue Danzō — he is Kage‑level.
Opening further would overtax my body unnecessarily.
The Eight Gates have served their purpose for now… let me try something else.
Amaterasu!
If it reveals the Sharingan… so be it.
I care little.
The overwhelming aura blazing around Ryuu vanished instantly.
In its place stood an ordinary‑looking genin, calm and unassuming.
“Exhausted already?” Danzō asked, eyes narrowing.
And all such techniques exact a price.
No chakra reserves are infinite.
Such power cannot be sustained forever.
“Try me yourself — and you will see,” Ryuu replied calmly, arms folded.
His utter confidence unsettled Danzō.
This boy was too composed — as though he held yet more cards in reserve.
Insult burned hot in Danzō’s chest.
No one had ever dared defy him thus — least of all a youth.
“Insolence!” Danzō snarled.
He wove seals rapidly and exhaled.
“Wind Release: Vacuum Wave!”
“Amaterasu!”
Beneath his sunglasses, Ryuu’s eyes shifted — the Mangekyō Sharingan awakened.
Black flames ignited directly upon Danzō.
A scream of mortal danger blared in Danzō’s mind.
Instinct alone saved him — he cut his jutsu short and threw himself aside.
Even so, searing agony tore through his right arm.
He looked down to see inextinguishable black flames devouring his limb.
“Fortunate for you you moved fast,” Ryuu said coldly.
Danzō was not as unearthly swift as the Third Raikage — but fast enough to spoil the aim.
