“Lord Minato, you must become the next Hokage!”

Lost in thought, Ryuu was suddenly pulled back by a rising cheer from the crowd.

He looked toward the commotion and saw a bright‑haired young man walking down the street — the legendary Yellow Flash himself, Minato Namikaze.

After inspecting the remains of Chibaku Tensei, Minato had used the Flying Raijin to return at once, to ensure the village was never left unguarded.

The moment he appeared, most of the villagers swarmed around him with delight and reverence, welcoming him home.

“His standing is incredible,” Ryuu murmured to himself.

No wonder he had surpassed even Orochimaru — the Third’s own pupil — to become the Fourth Hokage.

The village would have accepted no one else.

Thinking of Minato’s tragic end, Ryuu could only sigh.

He was one of the few truly noble figures in this world — powerful, beloved, yet fated to fall alongside Kushina.

It only strengthened his resolve.

In this world, strength was everything.

“Ichiraku Ramen?”

He had wandered further without noticing, and found himself standing right outside the shop.

“Might as well try it — see if it really lives up to the name.”

After a moment’s hesitation, he stepped inside.

He took an empty seat and called out to the man behind the counter.

Though Teuchi was already older, he was still in his prime — more a brotherly figure than an uncle.

“Ryuu?”

Before he had settled in, a clear, melodic voice sounded from beside him — a girl’s voice.

He turned, looked closely, and recognized her at once: “Yūhi Kurenai?”

In the story he knew, Kurenai was already a poised, mature beauty — but here, she was still in her youth, and just as striking.

The Uchiha were Konoha’s largest and most prominent clan, with their own compound.

Most of their daily lives unfolded within its walls.

Pride, old grudges, and a long‑standing rift with the village meant they rarely mingled or ate outside their own grounds.

That was why Kurenai looked so surprised to see him here.

Seeing her brought back fragments of his predecessor’s memories — they had been classmates at the Academy.

But the old Ryuu had carried the typical Uchiha arrogance; even with modest talent, he had looked down on others, keeping his distance from most of his peers.

He and Kurenai had never been more than casual acquaintances.

Ryuu gave her a polite nod and nothing more, then turned back to his meal, eating quietly.

…

After finishing, he wandered a little longer before reporting to the Military Police Force.

He patrolled with the others through the afternoon — and that marked the end of the day’s duties.

Instead of heading straight back to the clan compound, he made his way to the training grounds.

From now on, he would focus entirely on taijutsu.

It was the only way forward right now.

“The Academy teaches that chakra comes from blending physical and mental energy… but that’s only half the truth.

Chakra originated from the Divine Tree — passed down to all shinobi by the Sage of Six Paths.”

“Much of what we inherit lies dormant.

Through disciplined training of body and mind, we can wake it up — that is the true nature of chakra.”

Few alive understood this as well as he did.

Even if the common teachings were flawed, they still hit the mark: building the body does expand chakra capacity.

It was late now, and the grounds were nearly empty — only a few still training.

Huff — huff — huff!

Thud — thud — thud!

One figure instantly caught his eye: a boy in green, with a bowl cut and eyebrows so thick they seemed almost unnatural.

“Might Guy… another one of this world’s absolute monsters.”

Ryuu shook his head inwardly.

This was a world built on bloodlines — without the legacy of Indra or Asura, reaching true heights was nearly impossible.

For most, Kage‑level was the absolute limit.
