Danzo roared as though Yusuke had just murdered his mother.
Of course, Yusuke seriously doubted whether he even had a mother.
“Yusuke! Don’t get too full of yourself! You’re only leading troops into battle, and you already want the position of Hokage?!”
Danzo pointed at Yusuke and shouted furiously.
What a joke!
Shimura Danzo had devoted himself to Konoha for decades, tirelessly eliminating talented individuals, yet he still hadn’t even touched the threshold of the Hokage position.
And now this guy wanted the Hokage position just for going into battle once?
Who did he think he was looking down on?
“Haha~ Why are you getting so worked up, Lord Danzo?”
Yusuke smiled.
“I was only joking. Don’t let it get to you.”
Joking?
When they heard those two words, Hiruzen and the others immediately looked as though they had eaten something disgusting.
Yusuke continued, “My second condition is that I’d like the Hokage to transfer ownership of the lands and houses in the Senju clan grounds that no longer have anyone to inherit them to me.”
Halfway through, Yusuke spread out his palm and made a gesture as if asking someone to hand something over, smiling faintly.
“Simply put, I want you to give me a clan compound of my own.”
“You’re a commoner-born shinobi without a clan, and you want such a huge clan compound?!”
Koharu Utatane exclaimed in disbelief.
“Those who are capable should have the right to occupy them. Besides, those lands have no owners now. They’re going to sit empty anyway, so why not give them to someone qualified to possess them?”
The smile on Yusuke’s face gradually disappeared, replaced by an unyielding firmness that left no room for argument.
“I need this taken care of before I depart for the battlefield. Otherwise, I’m afraid I simply won’t have the motivation to fight.”
For a moment, the atmosphere in the room became unbearably tense.
Even the ANBU members standing guard outside, including Minato Namikaze and Sarutobi Shinnosuke, were stunned by the overwhelming atmosphere.
It was large enough to accommodate several thousand people!
And how many Senju remained now?
Only a little over a hundred clan members.
In other words, if Hiruzen agreed, then the thousands of houses and vast stretches of land that had lost their owners would all belong to Yusuke.
One had to understand that Konoha was currently in the middle of reconstruction and desperately needed money.
Hiruzen had planned to relocate the remaining Senju to a corner of the village while putting the clan compound itself to public use for Konoha.
If he agreed to Yusuke’s condition, then that enormous fortune and all that land would be transferred directly from Konoha’s possession into Yusuke’s personal pocket.
This was no longer a matter of merely making Konoha bleed.
He was practically cutting off a huge chunk of its flesh!
Yusuke himself knew that although this demand wasn’t as outrageous as asking for the Hokage position, it was still enough to make Hiruzen hesitate.
But he wasn’t afraid that Hiruzen would refuse.
If that happened, Yusuke could simply let the other four great nations invade and carve up the Land of Fire, then take his own share of the spoils.
Once he gradually grew stronger with the power granted by the system, he could simply take back all the resources they had seized from the Land of Fire.
Therefore, even if Hiruzen refused, it didn’t matter.
Once he watched the Land of Fire fall and Konoha be destroyed, he could simply take the land for himself.
This was Yusuke’s perfect plan: either Hiruzen gave him the land now, or he would wait until the Land of Fire fell and Konoha was destroyed, then take it for himself.
“Danzo immediately objected.
“Hiruzen, you absolutely cannot agree to this!”
For the sake of Konoha, this land was extremely important to its future reconstruction and development.
It shouldn’t become Yusuke’s private property.
On a personal level, he hated Yusuke—a bastard who constantly opposed him yet possessed overwhelming strength that left him completely helpless.
Danzo certainly didn’t want such an enormous fortune falling into Yusuke’s personal hands.

“This is such a vast tract of land. We can’t simply give it away to someone…”
Koharu and Homura Mitokado also tried to stop him.
“You make it sound as though this land belongs to you.”
Yusuke yawned and looked disdainfully at the three old foxes.
“Even if almost all the Senju have died out, it should belong to Tsunade, not you. Once I marry Tsunade, won’t it all become mine anyway? Well, it’s up to you, Hokage-sama. I’ll be leaving first…”
Danzo, Koharu, and Homura were practically furious enough to explode.
They couldn’t even remember how many years it had been since someone had made them feel as though their throats were being held hostage like this.
Yet, frustratingly, they had no way to refute him.
Just as Yusuke was about to leave, Hiruzen finally spoke in a deep voice.
“Fine. I agree.”
“Hiruzen?!”
The three of them were stunned.
“Koharu, go and bring me the ownership certificates for the Senju clan lands. Change the names on them to Yusuke.”
“…I understand.”
Seeing Hiruzen’s gaze, Koharu knew that there was no room for further discussion.
That was the kind of person Sarutobi Hiruzen was.
He usually appeared gentle and amiable, but once he became ruthless, no one could stop him.
Soon, with Yusuke watching in person, Hiruzen changed the names of all the deceased Senju landowners on the ownership documents to Yusuke’s name.
“The Hokage is truly wise.”
After taking the land ownership certificates, Yusuke smiled.
“Just wait and watch. I’ll bring Onoki’s head back to you.”
