[Uchiha Setsuna]: “I remember that kid, Obito, quite well.

He wasn’t the brightest and his grades were always at the bottom, but he truly had a kind heart.

He even helped me before.”Full novel: Naruto: The Livestream That Exposed the Shinobi World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

[Kosuke Maruboshi]: “Hahaha!

That little guy helped me too.

Ah, getting old is rough.

My back gives out at the slightest movement…”

[Kushina Uzumaki]: “Obito really was that kind…

Sigh…

If only you were still alive.”

Akatsuki Hideout

On the light screen, countless elderly villagers praised Obito without reservation.

But as Obito read the messages in the chat…

His eyes gradually grew cold.

That’s right…

This false shinobi world shouldn’t exist.

Rin…

everyone…

Just wait for me.

Soon I’ll create a beautiful world for all of you—even if it’s only an illusion.

At least…

Minato-sensei and Sister Kushina won’t have to live in constant fear anymore…

And they’ll be able to see Naruto again.

That was Obito’s silent resolve.

Hidden in the corner, Black Zetsu glanced at Obito’s orange mask and inwardly sneered.

“Hmph…

What a fool.”

The video continued.

“In just one day, you’ve completed every basic village mission.”

Hiruzen puffed on his pipe while looking over the mission reports, his brows slightly furrowed.

“Of course!”

Obito declared proudly.

“I’m the man who’s going to become Hokage!

These missions are nothing!”

Minato smiled gently at Hiruzen.

“Lord Hokage, the three of them seem even more capable than we expected.”

Yet a trace of caution flashed through his eyes.

After all…

Obito had just loudly proclaimed that he would become Hokage.

Saying that in front of the current Hokage was…

a little awkward.

“Indeed…”

Hiruzen narrowed his eyes and took another puff from his pipe before glancing at the three children.

“Kakashi already has plenty of real combat experience.”

“Starting tomorrow, you’ll accompany him on missions.”

The four of them blinked in surprise.

“Real missions?”

Obito’s eyes lit up.

“That’s right.”

Hiruzen nodded.

“A client specifically requested Minato for another assignment, so he won’t be accompanying you.”

“Although this is an official mission, it’s only C-rank, so the danger is relatively low.”

“Even so…”

“Don’t let your guard down.”

Minato looked at his three students with a warm smile.

[Kakashi Hatake]: “This is where the tragedy begins…”

[Minato Namikaze]: “Kakashi…

I’m sorry.

I was tied up with another mission and couldn’t reach you in time…”

[Mei Terumī]: “Tsk.

I think it’s because Obito talked back to the Hokage earlier.”

[Mei Terumī]: “Hiruzen wasn’t happy about it, so he used this mission to send the three kids to their deaths.”

[Gengetsu Hōzuki (Second Mizukage)]: “That’s actually possible.”

[Hanzō of the Salamander]: “Spread the word—Hiruzen really did that.”

[Ōnoki]: “Spread the word—Hiruzen is deeply in love with Danzō.”

[Rasa (Fourth Kazekage)]: “Spread the word—it was all Danzō’s fault.”

[Danzō Shimura]: “The video clearly shows Hiruzen making the decision!

Why am I getting blamed for this?!”

[Uchiha Tekka]: “If not you, then who else?!”

[Mei Terumī]: “Tsk.

Danzō really does love taking the blame.”

The video continued.

“I originally intended to have you remain in the village handling miscellaneous work while Minato was away.”

Hiruzen rubbed his temples helplessly.

“But now that all the odd jobs have already been completed…”

“I can’t exactly leave you sitting around.”

He took another draw from his pipe.

“So, I have another mission for you.”

“Awesome!”

Obito jumped excitedly.

“We finally get to go on a real mission!”

Rin covered her mouth with a soft laugh as she watched him celebrate.

“Then I’ll leave them in your hands starting tomorrow.”

Minato smiled warmly at his three students.

“Yes, sir.”

The three of them answered in unison.

The scene changed.

The three teammates walked together along a wooden path.

“So, Kakashi?”

Obito folded his hands behind his head with a smug grin.

“You should be thanking me.”

“I got you out of doing all those boring chores.”

Walking ahead with both hands in his pockets, Kakashi frowned.

Seeing his expression, Rin spoke gently.

“Kakashi, don’t be angry with Obito.”

“He really looks up to you.”

“He said you’ve changed.”

She looked at Kakashi with concern.

“W-What are you saying, Rin?!”

Obito hurried over, blushing in embarrassment.

“But it’s true!”

Rin pouted.

“You always say Kakashi is ahead of you.”

“That’s why you’ve been secretly training by yourself every day, isn’t it?”

[A (Third Raikage)]: “That little girl Rin really is too kind…”

[Sunagakure Jōnin]: “By the way…

why did their team suddenly die during this mission?”

[Iwagakure Chūnin]: “Yeah, I’m curious too.”

[Boruto Uzumaki (Future)]: “So these are the great shinobi from Dad’s era?

They all seem really strong…”

[Mei Terumī]: “Hmm?

And who are you?”

The video continued.

Still blushing, Obito hurriedly explained,

“I never said I didn’t train…”

“You just misunderstood.”

He waved his hands nervously.

Kakashi stopped walking and gave Obito a thoughtful glance.

Ignoring Obito’s explanation, Rin stepped between them.

She reached out and grabbed one boy’s arm with each hand.

“Come on.”

“Shake hands.”

“We’re teammates now.”

“I don’t want to shake hands with him.”

Obito snorted and turned his head away.

Kakashi did exactly the same.

Watching the two of them stubbornly refuse, Rin sighed.

Then…

She took both of their hands and forced them together herself.

“Honestly…”

“I guess I’ll have to do it for you.”

Both boys stared at her in surprise.

“There.”

Rin smiled gently.

“Now you’ve made up.”

Obito gazed blankly at her smiling face.

Rin really is adorable…

No matter how many times I look at her.

[Hashirama Senju]: “Why does everyone keep starting wars?

Didn’t I already distribute the Tailed Beasts among all of you…?”

[First Mizukage]: “First Hokage…

you were simply too naïve.”

[Zabuza Momochi]: “Is the so-called God of Shinobi really that foolish?

If you wanted peace, you should’ve just conquered everyone.”

[Madara Uchiha]: “Hashirama, I told you back then.”

“You should’ve united the entire shinobi world.”

“If the two of us had marched together—with my Susanoo wrapped around your Wood Golem—none of today’s problems would’ve existed.”

[Tobirama Senju]: “For once, I actually agree with Madara.”

“Brother, you were simply too idealistic.”

[Deidara]: “This Hashirama guy seems like an idiot.

Is he really the God of Shinobi?”

[Hidan]: “Didn’t Lord Kakuzu try to kill him once?

Too bad Hashirama ran away too fast.”

[Madara Uchiha]: “What?!

You two little brats…

do you even realize what you’re saying?!”

[Hashirama Senju]: “Wait…

was there really someone named Kakuzu?

Why don’t I remember him?

”

[Kakuzu]: “…”

Akatsuki Hideout

Kakuzu stared at the chat, panic written across his face.

“Lord Kakuzu!”

Deidara nudged him with a grin.

“Those two are talking way too boldly.”

“Stop keeping such a low profile already!”

“Exactly, Lord Kakuzu!”

Hidan chimed in enthusiastically.
