“You even know about Ashura and Indra?”

Kurama asked in astonishment once again.

“Of course I do.”Full novel: Naruto: The Silent Storm of Konoha — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Naruto answered calmly.

“I also know that for the past thousand years, their chakra has continuously reincarnated, with each generation fighting the other without end.”

“What?!”

Kurama cried out in shock.

Even he had never known such a thing.

“And the previous reincarnations of Ashura and Indra were Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha.”

Naruto continued casually.

“What?!”

Kurama exclaimed again.

But at the same time, everything suddenly made sense to him.

No wonder those two monsters were so absurdly powerful…

To Kurama, both Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha had always been freaks of nature.

“Let me tell you another secret.”

“The Senju and the Uchiha are actually descendants of Ashura and Indra.”

Naruto said calmly.

Kurama fell silent.

He had already heard so many unbelievable revelations that this one hardly surprised him anymore.

In fact, it explained a great deal.

Only the descendants of Ashura and Indra could have produced monsters like Hashirama and Madara.

“So…”

Naruto continued.

“I assume you’ve figured out why Madara brought you back under his control to fight Hashirama all those years ago?”

“…Figure out what?”

Honestly, Kurama felt that asking the question would only invite Naruto to mock his intelligence.

He didn’t want to ask.

But his curiosity eventually won.

After a long silence, he couldn’t help himself.

As expected, Naruto looked at him with obvious disdain.

“Something this simple, and you’ve lived for a thousand years without figuring it out?”

“And you’re asking a six-year-old?”

Kurama instantly wished he could crawl into a hole.

Unfortunately, there was nowhere to hide inside the sealed space.

Damn brat…

I knew he’d say something like that…

Naruto stopped teasing him and continued.

“To obtain the legendary eyes of the Sage of Six Paths—the Rinnegan.”

“Ashura inherited the Sage’s powerful life force.”

“Indra inherited the Sharingan.”

“But Madara could never awaken the Rinnegan through his own power.”

“He needed Hashirama’s power.”

“And Hashirama’s strength had already become part of every one of his cells.”

“So by now, you should understand.”

“Madara fought Hashirama because he wanted Hashirama’s cells.”

“Only then could he awaken the Rinnegan.”

“Impossible!”

Kurama shouted.

“Didn’t Hashirama kill Madara?”

“Izanagi.”

Naruto answered calmly.

“By sacrificing the light of one three-tomoe Sharingan, an Uchiha can rewrite reality itself.”

“Madara did die.”

“But he rewrote reality…

and came back to life.”

Kurama became completely silent.

Even so, he still refused to believe it.

“Even the old Sage of Six Paths died of old age.”

“Madara must have failed.”

“He never awakened the Rinnegan.”

“He’s already dead.”

“Madara is indeed dead.”

Naruto nodded.

“But the Rinnegan remained.”

“It’s now in the Land of Rain.”

“How do you know all this?”

Kurama asked in disbelief.

“The one who released you from my mother’s body six years ago…”

“…was Madara’s successor.”

“Their goal is to gather all nine Tailed Beasts, revive the Ten-Tails, and become its jinchūriki—just like the Sage of Six Paths.”

Naruto spoke as calmly as ever.

“No…

impossible!”

“How could you know any of this?”

“And how would they know the Sage was the Ten-Tails’ jinchūriki?”

“He never told anyone!”

Kurama’s voice was filled with disbelief.

“That goes back to the Sage’s mother.”

Naruto explained.

“After the Sage of Six Paths and his younger brother sealed away their mother when she attempted to destroy the world…”

“…she left something behind.”

“Once that remnant existed, the secret stopped being a secret.”

“And don’t forget.”

“Mount Myōboku has a toad capable of seeing the future.”

Kurama narrowed his eyes.

“Brat…”

“Are you making all this up just to trick me into lending you my power?”

“I do want your power.”

Naruto admitted honestly.

“But I have no reason to deceive you.”

“As the Nine-Tails’ jinchūriki, they’ll come after me sooner or later.”

“Everything I’ve said will eventually be proven.”

“We’re tied together.”

“Helping me is helping yourself.”

Kurama stared at Naruto and sneered.

“You keep telling me to trust you.”

“But do you trust me?”

“You want my power, don’t you?”

“I’ll give it to you.”

“Remove the seal.”

“I’ll hand over all my power.”

Naruto fell silent.

“What?”

Kurama mocked.

“I thought you said trust mattered.”

“Why won’t you open the seal?”

Naruto answered quietly.

“I can’t fully trust you.”

“I don’t have your ability to sense hatred.”

“I don’t know whether you’ve truly believed what I’ve told you.”

“If you still don’t understand how serious this is…”

“Then releasing you would only get me killed.”

Kurama snorted.

“Then why should I trust you?”

“Because I’ve told you countless secrets that someone my age—and almost anyone in the ninja world—should never know.”

Naruto replied.

“Isn’t that enough?”

“And more importantly…”

“You can sense malice.”

“You already know whether I bear any hostility toward you.”

Kurama let out another cold snort.

“You know I can sense malice.”

“Who’s to say you aren’t deliberately suppressing any ill intent?”

Naruto was quiet for a moment.

Then he simply said,

“I’m only six years old.”

Kurama paused.

“…You know…”

“I actually forgot you’re just a six-year-old brat.”

Naruto smiled faintly.

“Well…

never mind.”

“There are still ten years before the world faces destruction.”

“We have plenty of time.”

“I suppose entering deep meditation so easily made me overconfident.”

“Trust isn’t something built overnight.”

“Let’s just consider today our first meeting.”

“If we can’t reach an understanding now…”

“We’ll leave it for another day.”

“When the things I’ve spoken about begin to happen…”

“…you’ll understand.”

“And hopefully, by then, we’ll have built enough trust between us.”

“So…”

“Let’s leave it at that for today.”

After saying that, Naruto turned around and walked away.

Kurama silently watched his back as he disappeared into the darkness of the sewer until he was completely out of sight.

Following the opening in the seal, Naruto’s consciousness smoothly returned to his body.

“So my Talk no Jutsu really can’t compare to the original Naruto’s.”

He smiled helplessly, shook his head, climbed out of bed, and walked to the window.

Outside, the moon shone brilliantly in the night sky.

Just then, Naruto suddenly felt something change.

His available chakra had increased.

His control over chakra had become noticeably better as well.

He blinked in surprise.

Then he smiled.

It was obvious what had happened.

Kurama had intentionally stopped interfering with his chakra.

He had also withdrawn a portion of his own chakra, allowing Naruto to access more of his own and control it with greater precision.

The proud and stubborn fox had finally taken a small step toward trust.

He had offered Naruto the first sign of his goodwill.

After all…

When it came to something like this—

it was better to believe it might be true than to dismiss it entirely.
