Looking at Yuto giving up completely, the Grand Elder smiled faintly.

He formed the Tiger seal with one hand, and a fireball shot from his mouth.

The fireball struck Yuto directly in the butt and set it on fire.

He rolled around on the ground in a sorry state, slapping at the flames burning on his body until the last spark was finally put out.

Panting heavily, he suddenly raised his head and shouted at the Grand Elder,

“I’m not training anymore!

This isn’t training.

It’s torture!”

The Grand Elder’s face darkened at once, and a cold light flashed in his three-tomoe Sharingan.

“Do you think this is a game?”

Before he had even finished speaking, his pupils spun, and genjutsu instantly invaded Yuto’s mind.

He felt the scene before him distort.

The world around him suddenly fell into darkness, and countless pairs of blood-red eyes opened in the void as a cold voice echoed.

“Warring States-era shinobi did not have the right to retreat.”

Pain surged over him like a tide, as if every inch of flesh and blood in his body were being torn apart.

Yuto dropped to his knees, cold sweat soaking through his clothes, but he gritted his teeth and refused to yield.

The Grand Elder looked down at him coldly.

“Either continue training, or collapse inside the genjutsu.

Choose.”

Yuto’s vision went black from the pain as he gasped for breath.

Although saying he would not train anymore was easy, the Grand Elder’s punishment methods were genuinely brutal.

He had actually used Sharingan genjutsu on Yuto, an Uchiha who had not awakened his eyes.

Wasn’t this just bullying someone who could not fight back?

Anger rose in Yuto’s chest, and reckless courage followed.

He pretended to submit and said to the Grand Elder,

“I’ll train.

I’ll keep training, okay?”

When the Grand Elder heard him, a faint smile curved his mouth.

The genjutsu he had just used on Yuto was not as simple as it seemed.

It caused not only physical pain, but also psychological suggestion.

Yuto pretended to collapse onto the ground in exhaustion, panting heavily.

“Grand Elder, let me rest for a little while…”

The Grand Elder nodded slightly and turned toward the shrine steps.

In that instant, anger flashed in Yuto’s eyes.

He suddenly leaped up, fist clenched, chakra boiling through his body.

“You old man!”

His anger burned like flames.

A sharp pain suddenly pierced Yuto’s eyes, and the world in his vision seemed to be dyed red.

Without him noticing, the tomoe of the Sharingan began to rotate.

The Grand Elder had planted a psychological suggestion inside the genjutsu.

He knew Yuto would launch a sneak attack out of anger.

He turned sideways to dodge, but Yuto’s fist adjusted its path at an even faster speed and struck precisely toward his chest.

In this strike, the flow of chakra was several times smoother than before.

There was not the slightest waste, yet neither speed nor power decreased.

Bang!

The fist landed solidly on the Grand Elder’s guarding arm.

The force was strong enough to make him step back half a pace.

Surprise flashed in the Grand Elder’s eyes, followed by a satisfied smile.

“Not bad.

That punch…

passes.”

Yuto froze in place and lowered his head to look at his own fist.

Only then did he realize that, by some strange coincidence, he had mastered precise chakra control while angry.

“When did you awaken the Sharingan?”

The Grand Elder looked at Yuto’s eyes and asked in confusion.

In the Grand Elder’s impression, had Yuto not always been a dead last who had not awakened his eyes?

How had he suddenly awakened the Sharingan?

And two-tomoe Sharingan at that.

Truly strange.

In recent decades, every Uchiha had started with one tomoe.

Could Yuto actually be a genius?

The Grand Elder’s words shocked Yuto greatly.

He had awakened his eyes?

When had that happened?

This was bad.

This was very bad.

Two tomoe meant his strength had risen by a large margin.

Now there were even fewer people in the shinobi world who could kill him.

What if he went to the battlefield later and still survived?

His compensation money.

Looking at Yuto’s half-crying, half-laughing expression, the Grand Elder suddenly felt a trace of pity.

Had he been too harsh?

Although he had never seen anyone train a disciple this way, he felt it should not be too much.

Had he actually tormented Yuto until the boy went stupid?

“Yuto!”

It was Tsukimi’s voice.

When she arrived at Naka Shrine carrying the bento she had carefully prepared, she saw Yuto slumped on the stone steps.

His clothes were soaked with sweat, and there were several burn marks on his arms.

Her pupils contracted sharply, and the bento box in her hand almost fell.

Tsukimi quickly ran to Yuto’s side and supported his swaying body with heartache.

Then she turned and glared angrily at the Grand Elder.

“Grandpa, how could you train Yuto like this?

He was only just discharged from the hospital.”

The Grand Elder coughed lightly and looked up at the sky.

“Time passes so quickly.

It is already noon.”

Tsukimi bit her lip, her eyes reddening.

She carefully wiped the sweat from Yuto’s forehead with her sleeve, her voice choked.

“Look at him.

He can barely stand.”

The Grand Elder felt a little awkward after being scolded by his granddaughter.

He explained guiltily,

“Ninja training is supposed to be harsh…”

“That doesn’t mean you train someone half to death!”

Tsukimi interrupted him, her three-tomoe Sharingan unconsciously appearing.

“Yuto is not your enemy.”

Yuto weakly tugged at Tsukimi’s sleeve, wanting to advise her not to talk back to the Grand Elder.

But she pressed him down at once.

“Don’t move.

Eat something first and recover your strength.”

She opened the bento box, and a delicious aroma immediately spread out.

Smelling it, Yuto could not help swallowing.

The bento Tsukimi made was nothing like Nono’s culinary disasters.

Just the smell alone made it seem delicious.

Besides, after an entire morning of hellish training, Yuto was already starving.

Tsukimi carefully picked up a piece of tamagoyaki and held it to Yuto’s mouth.

Her voice was soft.

“Ah…

open up.”

The tips of her ears were red, and her gaze flickered, not daring to meet Yuto’s eyes.

Her three-tomoe Sharingan had already faded, leaving only a girl’s shy embarrassment.

He instinctively tried to take the chopsticks, but Tsukimi moved them away.

“An injured person should obediently accept care.”

She pretended to be angry, but the chopsticks trembled badly in her hand.

The tamagoyaki almost fell onto Yuto’s clothes.

“I can do it myself…”

Before Yuto could finish, Tsukimi suddenly stuffed the food into his mouth, her fingertips accidentally brushing his lips.

Tsukimi’s face instantly turned bright red, and even her neck was tinged pink.

“I-Idiot!

Don’t you dare spit it out.”

In a panic, she picked up an octopus sausage next.

But because her hand was shaking so badly, the sausage dropped onto Yuto’s pants with a soft plop.

He looked at the oil stain on his pants, then at Tsukimi, who looked like she was about to cry, and sighed helplessly.

“Tsukimi-chan, you’re scarier than the Grand Elder’s training.”

Off to the side, the Grand Elder crossed his arms, the corner of his mouth twitching.

The clumsy, sweet way his granddaughter fed Yuto reminded him of his late wife when she was young.

The Grand Elder shook his head helplessly.

She was growing up, and her heart had clearly moved elsewhere.

That brat had already hooked her heart.

Only after Tsukimi had fed Yuto the entire bento did the Grand Elder finally speak.

“Rest time is over, brat.

Continue training.”

Yuto was dumbfounded.

Was this training going to last all day?
