New chapter!
Thanks for all the support!
x
Early the next morning, the Uchiha clan began assembling.
More than thirty Uchiha clan members were summoned by the Grand Elder.
Most of them were hawks, and even the weakest had at least a one-tomoe Sharingan.
On the surface, Yuto’s strength did not stand out among them, but the Grand Elder kept him at his side, making him look very much like the future leader of the hawk faction.
Several days later, the Uchiha clan members reached the border of the Land of Rice Fields and rendezvoused with Minato.
The Grand Elder and Minato met inside the temporary command post, standing across from each other.
Minato spoke first, his tone steady.
“Grand Elder, thank you for the Uchiha clan’s support.”
He pointed to the border map spread across the table.
“At present, Kumogakure has gathered roughly five hundred shinobi at the Land of Rice Fields border.
That is more than twice our force.”
Yuto stepped forward and bowed respectfully to Minato.
“Minato-senpai, it’s been a while.”
Minato smiled gently and patted his shoulder.
“Yuto, I heard you were promoted to chunin.
Congratulations.”
Hearing Minato’s congratulations, the corner of Yuto’s mouth twitched.
It was not as if he wanted to get stronger.
Now he could no longer serve as cannon fodder and had instead become a core battlefield combatant.
Minato’s fingertip traced the red line marked on the map.
“The most troublesome factor is that Dodai, the Raikage’s aide, is personally overseeing the front.
His Lava Release and tactical command are both top tier.”
The Grand Elder gave a cold snort.
A trace of fighting spirit flashed in his Sharingan.
“So what if their numbers are greater?
The flames of the Uchiha are enough to burn them all away.”
Minato nodded and added,
“Kumogakure’s main force is concentrated in the canyon area, but lately, small squads have been frequently trying to flank us…”
Before he could finish, an explosion suddenly roared in the distance, and the tent canvas rustled under the shock wave.
A Konoha shinobi appeared with the Body Flicker Technique and knelt on one knee to report.
“Lord Minato, a Kumogakure squad has been discovered two kilometers to the northeast.
Six people total.
They appear to be a scouting unit.”
Minato was about to order a counterattack when the Grand Elder raised his hand to stop him.
“Let my disciple go.”
He glanced sideways at Yuto.
“This is a good chance to test the results of his training.”
Yuto excitedly tightened his grip on his kunai.
The chance had arrived.
One against six.
He could definitely die gloriously.
Minato frowned slightly.
“They have the numerical advantage.
It would be better to have Kakashi’s team assist…”
Yuto had just stepped out of the tent when he ran straight into the three members of Kakashi’s team.
Obito waved broadly and shouted,
“Yuto-senpai!”
Rin bowed gently.
“Have your injuries…
fully healed?”
Yuto bowed deeply at a perfect ninety degrees.
“Thanks to Rin’s medical ninjutsu.”
When he straightened, the corner of his eye caught Kakashi wiping his short blade, looking as cold as ever.
Yuto looked at the three in front of him.
This lineup was perfect.
According to canon, Obito was reckless, Rin was support, and Kakashi was a lone wolf.
Their coordination was definitely awful.
A six-man Kumogakure squad could absolutely cause his accidental death.
“Hey, hey.”
Obito suddenly leaned close, his eyes spinning with curiosity.
“Senpai, you’re not scared, are you?”
Yuto suddenly pressed a hand on Obito’s shoulder, his acting skills erupting.
“That is exactly why we must end this quickly.”
Then he added silently in his heart,
I’ll be the first one to charge.
Kakashi’s short blade suddenly slid between them.
“Chatting is over.”
The tip pointed toward the forest to the northeast.
“Contact at three o’clock.”
Every cell in Yuto’s body cheered.
It was here.
His hundred-million payout.
Soon, the four of them arrived on the battlefield.
Yuto’s two-tomoe Sharingan quickly swept over the distant Kumogakure unit.
When he discovered they were all chunin, he was immediately disappointed.
Enemies at this level could not guarantee his heroic death at all.
“Kumogakure scum!”
He suddenly roared.
Chakra erupted beneath his feet, and his entire body shot forward like an arrow leaving the bow.
“Do not even think of setting one foot in the Land of Fire.”
His facial muscles tightened, creating the appearance of furious rage, while inside he was overjoyed.
As long as he acted arrogant enough, they would definitely focus their attacks on him.
There was still a chance to die.
Obito’s blood boiled from that roar.
“As expected of Yuto-senpai!”
He grabbed a kunai and charged right after him.
“I can’t fall behind either.”
The corner of Kakashi’s eye twitched.
He drew his short blade and muttered,
“Are all Uchiha idiots?”
Rin stamped her foot anxiously.
“They’re being way too reckless.”
When the six Kumogakure chunin saw the four of them charge in, they froze for a moment, then burst into laughter.
“Does Konoha have no one left?
They actually sent a bunch of brats to die.”
The leading Kumogakure shinobi mocked them and casually threw several shuriken.
Yuto’s two-tomoe Sharingan spun rapidly, and joy rose in his heart.
As long as Kumogakure focused their fire, he would have a chance to die.
However, the Transmigrator Administration’s rules forced him to dodge with everything he had.
He turned sideways, rolled, and leaped back, avoiding every attack with smooth, effortless motion.
After dodging, Yuto felt disappointed.
These Kumogakure guys seemed kind of weak.
He was also a chunin.
Why could their attacks not even hit him?
Obito’s Great Fireball roared out, only for a Kumogakure shinobi to easily dodge it.
“That all you’ve got, brat?”
The enemy grinned fiercely.
Two Kumogakure shinobi instantly moved to flank him, their kunai aiming straight for Obito’s throat.
The chance had arrived.
Yuto’s two-tomoe Sharingan spun with excitement, and he immediately turned and rushed toward Obito.
“I will never allow you to hurt my comrade.”
As long as he could die in Obito’s place, he might get the compensation money.
“Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall.”
Just as Yuto was dreaming, Kakashi’s cold shout suddenly rang out.
A rock wall rose from the ground and blocked Kumogakure’s attack.
The silver-haired boy appeared beside Obito with the Body Flicker Technique, his short blade flashing coldly as he forced the enemy back.
“Stop spacing out.”
Yuto cursed internally as he watched his death plan fall apart.
At this point, the Kumogakure shinobi finally realized something was wrong.
These brats seemed fairly strong.
They quickly formed hand seals.
“Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder.”
Blinding lightning rushed along the ground, making Obito scream.
Yuto gritted his teeth and lunged forward.
Surely this time, he could die heroically.
Unexpectedly, Kakashi’s scabbard suddenly intercepted the attack and accurately forced back the Kumogakure shinobi.
The silver-haired boy grabbed both of them by the backs of their collars and retreated.
Lightning blasted a charred pit into the spot where they had just stood.
Yuto looked at the three of them, all completely unharmed, and howled internally.
Why was this white-haired brat so in the way?
Yuto’s two-tomoe Sharingan spun wildly, and chakra boiled inside his body.
With a roar, he charged desperately toward the Kumogakure squad.
Fireballs from Phoenix Sage Fire Technique howled out, carrying shuriken within them.
“Die!”
His body was fully exposed in front of Kumogakure, waiting for the enemy’s fatal blow.
However, the Kumogakure shinobi were shaken by his reckless fighting style and retreated in panic.
Every one of Yuto’s attacks landed precisely, yet he deliberately avoided fatal spots.
What he needed was to die in a hard-fought battle, not to win.
But even then, Kumogakure still could not take Yuto down.
Damn it.
These useless bastards could not even kill him?
Yuto was losing his mind internally.
Seeing Kumogakure retreat step by step, he gave up on dying in this battle and gritted his teeth as he turned to Kakashi.
“End this quickly.”
The silver-haired boy instantly understood.
His short blade stabbed out like lightning.
The two coordinated flawlessly.
Yuto’s Phoenix Sage Flower Nail Crimson blocked the enemy’s escape routes, while Kakashi’s blade harvested lives.
