Uchiha Akira could clearly feel numerous gazes examining him.
Some came from lovestruck girls similar to Sakura and Ino.
Many of the boys, meanwhile, looked at him with envy and jealousy because they hadn’t received nearly as much attention from the girls.
People in this world matured frighteningly early.
However, some of the gazes directed at him were noticeably different.
Akira sensed faint hostility within them.
He wasn’t surprised.
After Konoha’s leadership began ostracizing the Uchiha clan, such hostility naturally followed.
Those people had either believed the rumors spread by Konoha’s leadership or were directly connected to them.
“Ahem!”
A young man walked to the front of the students and cleared his throat.
“Hello, everyone.
Starting today, I’ll be your instructor.
My name is Yamashiro Aoki.”
“If you encounter any problems in the future, you may come to me.”
“Now, everyone, follow me to the classroom.”
Aoki led the students into the building.
“Find any available seat for now.”
Akira headed toward a corner.
None of the students in this class interested him, and he had no desire to become involved with them.
Several girls courageously moved closer to him.
However, none dared to sit directly beside him, so they chose the seats in front of and behind him instead.
Before long, everyone had taken their seats.
Aoki surveyed the classroom.
“I’ll begin by explaining this semester’s curriculum.”
“It is primarily divided into two sections.”
“The first consists of academic classes, which will mainly be held in the morning.”
“I’ll have someone bring your textbooks shortly.”
“The second consists of shinobi training, which will primarily take place in the afternoon.
This semester, you’ll mainly learn shuriken throwing, kunai usage, physical conditioning, and basic taijutsu.”
Another young man poked his head through the doorway.
“Aoki, the books are ready.
Do you want to collect them now?”
“Yes.
I’ll come immediately.”
Aoki turned back to the class.
“The books have arrived.
Who would like to help me carry them?
I need ten students.”
Many hands immediately shot into the air.
“Me!”
“I’ll go!”
“…”
One small hand after another rose eagerly.
The students seemed to consider it an honorable and exciting task, each competing for the opportunity.
In reality, it was utterly meaningless.
Akira turned his head and looked out the window.
He had no interest in anything included in the Academy’s curriculum.
The only reason he had enrolled was because Konoha required it.
Fugaku didn’t want him to attract the attention of the village’s leadership.
The hostility Konoha’s leadership displayed toward the Uchiha clan was already extremely obvious.
Furthermore, the situation involving Itachi had made Fugaku even more wary of them.
If Akira reached the appropriate age but didn’t enroll, Konoha’s leadership might take notice.
Even if they didn’t, Itachi certainly would.
That was why Fugaku wanted Akira to disguise himself as an ordinary, mediocre Uchiha.
While sitting at his desk, Akira silently refined his chakra.
His strength had already reached the level of a chūnin.
The instructor standing at the front of the classroom was only a chūnin himself.
If they fought seriously, Aoki might not even be Akira’s opponent.
Therefore, Akira didn’t believe there was anything he could learn from him.
As for the academic classes, Akira had even less interest in them.
Naruto’s academic grades had practically been zero, and he had left the written portion of the Chūnin Exams blank.
Yet someone like him had still become Hokage and handled the village’s official duties without any problems.
That proved Konoha’s academic curriculum was completely useless.
The education Akira had received in his previous life was more than sufficient.
The bell rang.
Akira walked out of the classroom.
Several students exchanged glances before following him.
Akira glanced over his shoulder.
“Someone is already looking for trouble on the first day.
This is the Uchiha clan’s position within Konoha.”
Akira shook his head.
He brought his hands together.
“Shadow Clone Technique!”
A shadow clone appeared beside him while his real body concealed itself around a corner.
Akira brought his hands together again.
“Transformation Technique!”
He transformed into a fat upperclassman.
Akira’s shadow clone quickened its pace.
The students hurried after it.
Thud!
They collided directly with the upperclassman Akira had transformed into.
“Where did you little brats come from?”
The fat student wore a furious expression before viciously pouncing upon them.
A barrage of punches and kicks knocked the students to the ground.
Only then did he dust off his hands.
“Hmph!
Watch where you’re going, brats.”
“Otherwise, I won’t let you off so easily next time!”
“Get lost!”
The students scrambled to their feet and fled in every direction.
When Akira returned to the classroom, he saw the same students covered in bruises.
Without revealing any reaction, he withdrew his gaze, returned to his seat in the corner, and rested his head on the desk.
Yamashiro Aoki entered the classroom.
Two figures followed behind him.
