“Yes, yes, yes!
You’re a busy man, so we won’t keep you.
Mother’s probably getting impatient by now.
We’re heading home.”
With that, Qiyu grabbed Itachi, who still seemed to have something to say to Shisui, and hurriedly pulled him away.
“Qiyu… still as stubborn as ever.”
Watching the two small figures disappear into the distance, Shisui frowned slightly.
“Who taught him to distrust the village so deeply?
Could it have been the clan head…?”
Unable to make sense of it, Shisui turned and walked home alone.
“Brother, why do you always have to argue with Big Brother Shisui?”
Itachi asked, his voice carrying a trace of dissatisfaction.
“Itachi, listen to your brother.
Don’t take too many of Shisui’s grand ideals to heart.
They won’t do you any good.”
Qiyu looked at his younger brother with complete seriousness.
“Is it wrong to want peace between the village and the clan?”
A stubborn expression appeared on Itachi’s young face.
“There’s nothing wrong with wanting peace.
The problem is the method.” Qiyu’s expression grew grave.
“Itachi, Konoha’s higher-ups aren’t as benevolent as you think.”
“And does that mean everything you say is right?”
Qiyu’s chest tightened.
This was the first time Itachi had ever openly questioned him.
Anger rose instinctively, but the moment Qiyu saw the confusion in Itachi’s eyes, it vanished.
“Itachi, time will prove everything.
Give me a little longer.
The Uchiha should never have ended up like this.”
“All right.” Itachi nodded solemnly.
“I’ll wait for you to give me an answer.”
Seeing that, Qiyu decided not to say anything more.
If Itachi ever strayed down the wrong path, then as his older brother, Qiyu would simply use the iron fist of love to drag him back onto the right one.
When they reached the entrance to their home, they found their mother standing outside, waiting so anxiously that it seemed she had nearly worn a hole through the road with her gaze.
“Mother, we’re back!”
Qiyu gave Mikoto a sweet smile.
“Did you make any friends at school today?”
Mikoto asked softly.
“Heh.
I made an adorable little sister today.”
Qiyu spoke in a teasing tone.
Mikoto covered her mouth and laughed.
“Oh?
I didn’t expect our little Qiyu to already have girls taking a liking to him.”
“Mother, you’re talking nonsense.
I only think of her as a younger sister.
Though I have to admit, the purple outfit she wore today suited her very well.”
Seeing how happy his mother looked, Qiyu could not resist continuing.
“Mother, believe it or not, one day I’ll go next door to the Hyūga clan and find you a daughter-in-law.
Then you can spend the rest of your life getting the Byakugan treatment.”
“Hahaha!
Qiyu, you really are the most mischievous one.” Mikoto then turned her gaze toward Itachi, who was still being led by Qiyu.
“What about you, Itachi?
Did you make any friends at school today?”
“I… I made a friend too.
Just like Brother.”
“Mm.
It looks like Itachi did very well too.”
Mikoto gently stroked Itachi’s head.
She understood the temperament of her second son.
Even at home, he was usually quiet and withdrawn, carrying far too many thoughts for a child his age.
“It seems Qiyu has been taking very good care of his little brother.”
Mikoto gave Qiyu a warm look before heading into the kitchen to bring out bowls and chopsticks for dinner.
“Where’s Father?
Why isn’t he back yet?”
Qiyu noticed that his mother had only set out three pairs of bowls and chopsticks.
“The Hokage summoned him to discuss something.”
Mikoto handed bowls of rice to Qiyu and Itachi, answering as though it were nothing important.
“Did he say what it was about, Mother?”
Qiyu pressed.
A faint trace of worry appeared in Mikoto’s eyes.
“It seems to have something to do with relocating the clan.”
Qiyu’s gaze sharpened.
“Is the Uchiha’s great turning point finally approaching?”
Countless thoughts swept through his mind.
After a moment, he suppressed them and quietly began eating the dinner his mother had prepared.
There were some things he did not want to tell her.
It would only burden her with more worry.
He would find time to speak with his father instead.
“The banks of the Naka River… the Uchiha clan’s cemetery…”
Qiyu’s thoughts turned cold.
He quickly finished dinner, then spent some time teasing his worried mother at the table.
He told her several jokes adapted from his previous life, soon coaxing soft laughter from Mikoto and drawing her out of her troubled thoughts.
After Itachi finished eating at his usual unhurried pace, Qiyu helped clear away the dishes before finally returning to his room, satisfied.
He had to admit that without Fugaku at the table, the atmosphere in the house was far more relaxed.
But the moment he remembered why the Hokage had summoned his father, Qiyu’s brows knitted together once again.
“If only I were a little older.
Even being old enough to graduate from the Academy would be enough.”
Qiyu sighed softly.
Once he became a genin, he would be permitted to attend clan meetings.
Even if his words carried only the slightest weight, it would still be better than having no voice at all.
That was one of the reasons he had no choice but to become a ninja.
“I just hope Father can be persuaded when he comes back.”
Qiyu murmured, though uncertainty lingered in his voice.
He walked over to his wooden bed, sat down cross-legged, and opened his system panel.

Qiyu carefully reviewed everything he had gained that day and finally felt reassured.
As expected of his precious treasure girl and his adorable little brother.
The Gratitude Points the two of them had provided were enough to raise his cultivation art by another level.
Once the thought occurred to him, Qiyu acted without hesitation.
He focused his spiritual sense on the cultivation-art column.
“Upgrade!”
Boom!
In an instant, the surrounding spiritual energy surged toward Qiyu from every direction.
The energy within his dantian, which had once resembled a thin wisp of mist, rapidly thickened.
It circulated through the meridians throughout his body as strands of mysterious substance seeped into his muscles, skin, and bones, strengthening his mortal flesh from within.
At the same time, a wave of coolness rushed directly into Qiyu’s mind.
His consciousness instantly entered a state of complete selflessness, untouched by sorrow or joy.
With his thoughts operating at extraordinary efficiency, countless insights into the cultivation art poured into him like enlightenment bestowed from above.
Understanding after understanding blossomed within his mind.
Just as Qiyu immersed himself in that indescribably profound state, a stabbing pain suddenly erupted between his brows.
The muscles in his face twitched violently.
He sucked in a sharp breath and was wrenched out of his enlightened state.
The pain came fiercely, but vanished just as quickly.
Qiyu immediately stood and hurried to the mirror beside him to inspect his condition.
“Don’t tell me I cultivated so hard that I disfigured myself.”
Worry flickered through his mind.
Yet the moment he rose, he realized that his body felt completely different.
The first change was his vision.
The entire world had become far clearer than before.
Even the smallest details around him stood out with startling precision.
When he concentrated, he could almost perceive the movement of those objects slowing before his eyes.
Qiyu’s breath caught.
“Could it be… that I’ve awakened the Sharingan?”
