Chapter 8: Westwatch Village

Obtained Forbidden God-Rank Death Class, Now I Conquered Other Worlds

Finally I summoned all undeads back into my Death realm and then mounted undead wolf to find human civilization.

After 1 hour of traveling, I began noticing human footprints on the ground.

"Getting closer..."

I dismounted and desummoned the undead.

I didn’t want to attract unnecessary attention or be treated like an enemy from the start.

After confirming everything is in order, I continued on foot.

Thirty minutes later, I finally saw it.

A wooden gate.

Two guards stood beside it, while people moved in and out freely.

Relief washed over me.

At least I won’t have to worry about monsters attacking me at night.

As I approached, the guards glanced at me—but said nothing.

Looks like newcomers aren’t unusual here.

Inside, the village is far larger than expected.

Around a kilometer wide, with proper facilities spread throughout.

It isn’t just a village... it felt almost like a small town.

I roam around and gather information, the basic currency is copper, silver and gold like those in novels. also 100 copper coins equal 1 silver and so on.

I also found, an F- rank monster corpse sold for 10 copper coins and same for corpse as well. So I try to find stall for selling corpse.

I kept walking until I found a merchant stall selling monster materials.

Perfect.

I approached him.

"Hello. Do you buy goblin corpses?"

He looked me up and down—or more accurately, my armor.

Right... I am still wearing my blood-stained leather gear.

Even though I hadn’t taken damage, it is covered in dirt and dried blood.

"10 copper coins per intact corpse," he said flatly.

I agreed and sold the goblin corpse.

Twenty-nine in total, so he paid me 290 copper coins without hesitation.

I also discovered something interesting—everyone here had an inventory system too.

After walking some distance I found, The **Adventurer Guild**.

As soon as I stepped inside, the atmosphere changed completely.

It is noisy—boisterous laughter, people arguing, some even arm wrestling at tables like it was normal.

That’s when I noticed a familiar sight.

A handsome blonde guy—clearly some rich brat—was trying his best to impress the receptionist. She was smiling at him... but it looked forced.

I ignored this and approach her.

"Hello, how can I help you, sir?" the receptionist asked politely with a professional smile.

The blonde guy’s expression shifted immediately. He looked irritated, like I had interrupted something important.

But the receptionist’s expression—Rose—brightened noticeably, as if she had just been rescued.

Yeah. Rose. I just heard surrounding people calling her that.

The name suited her.

Long crimson-red hair fell neatly behind her shoulders, contrasting sharply against her pale skin and formal black guild uniform.

Her black eyes carried a calm, professional look, though the slight relief in them was impossible to miss right now.

"I want to become an adventurer," I replied.

"Of course, sir," she said.

She quickly explained the process. It was simpler than I expected—just basic registration.

Rank, name, class, and a nominee.

I gave my details: F- Rank, Luke Voidheart, Mage, no nominee.

She typed something behind the desk and handed me a card.

"This is your adventurer card. You can increase your rank by completing ten quests of the same rank, either solo or in a party."

I nodded and start talking a bit more, I learned a few important things from this.

This world is called Origin Land, the starting point of everything.

And the part where we are is **Ravengarde Empire**, ruled by the Ravengarde Royal Family. and one of the human empire.

And this village is called **Westwatch Village**, situated near the border, with the Beast Empire lying to the west.

"Thanks," I replied, and turned away.

Behind me, I could still feel the blonde guy glaring as if I had stolen something from him.

Seriously?

After gathering everything I needed, I left the guild.

I didn’t take any quests.

I had just come out of the wild—I needed time to settle, organize my abilities, and understand my situation first.

As I kept wandering through the village, I eventually found an inn.

**"Happy Home Inn."**

What a classic name.

Inside, the atmosphere is lively. People are eating, drinking, and talking loudly, while a woman moved between tables serving orders.

As I stepped fully inside, the smell of food mixed with sweat hit me at once. It isn’t pleasant, but it felt... real.

I walked up to the counter.

A tall man with a thick mustache and a constant smile stood there.

"What can I do for you, sir?" he asked.

"I want a single room for one day," I replied.

He nodded without losing his smile. "That would be 10 copper coins without meals, or 15 copper coins with meals included—day and night."

"Ok" I booked a single room with meals included.

Not long after, a waitress arrived with food.

"Please enjoy, sir," she said with a polite smile before moving on to the next table.

Lily.

The innkeeper’s daughter.

Long brown hair fell behind her back, while her dark eyes carried a warm, cheerful brightness that made her naturally approachable.

I nodded slightly and began eating.

As I ate, I quietly listened to the surrounding chatter.

Most of it was ordinary gossip... until one table caught my attention.

Four adventurers—three men and one woman, lightly armed—were speaking in low voices.

"Did you hear? A big shot is coming to our village," the woman said.

"One of those big shots? Here?" one man replied, frowning. "We don’t even have a dungeon nearby."

The others shrugged, half skeptical, half curious.

I listened for a moment longer, but no useful details followed.

So I let it go.

After finishing mine meal, I stood up.

"Thanks for the food, Thomas and Lily."

Finally I return back to my room and summoned Vorak before sleeping.

##Morning

After waking up I asked system if there is any gold coin available to buy on which system replied.

[Host, copper, silver, gold, and platinum currencies are regulated and cannot be directly purchased.]

"...Sigh."

I already expected that answer.

Then I left the village and summoned all my undeads other than Vorak and ordered them to go hunt.

After that I immediatedlty return back to Inn for my morning meal

"Your order, sir," Lily said with a polite smile as she placed the food down.

I nodded and began eating—warm bread and soup filling my stomach.

For now, I just had to wait.

My undead would handle the rest.

By morning... they should bring in enough points.

Just as Luke finished his meal, a deep sound of hoofbeats echoed through the village.

*Neighhh!*

A black warhorse stomped into the town square, its armor clanking heavily as an adventurer dismounted.

The impact of its arrival made nearby villagers instinctively step back.

Whispers spread almost immediately.

"That’s... an E rank adventurer!"

"He’s really here..."

The man looked middle-aged, but there was nothing ordinary about him. His presence alone carried weight—like the air around him had become denser.

A massive greatsword rested across his back, and his arms were covered in old, deep scars—proof of countless battles survived.

I, watched from a distance, and narrowed my eyes.

"An E rank adventurer, Orion, has arrived!"

Murmurs rippled through the crowd.

I tilted my head slightly.

"Why would an E rank adventurer come to a place like this?"

Earlier, I had heard rumors about a "guest" arriving. So this was him.

Orion didn’t linger in the square. Without a word, he moved straight toward the village chief’s house, his heavy footsteps fading inside.

Slowly, the crowd returned to their daily routines.

But the tension didn’t fully disappear.

### Village Chief’s House

"Thank God you’ve arrived! Do you know how tense I’ve been?" Chief Harold said immediately.

"Relax, Harold. I came as fast as I could after reading your letter," Orion replied calmly.

His tone was steady, but alert.

"Tell me everything. Your letter wasn’t clear," he added.

Harold exhaled sharply.

"Multiple goblin groups have started gathering near Westwatch Village."

He paused.

"And... an E- rank monster is leading them."

Orion’s eyes sharpened.

"If this continues... it could become a monster tide."

Harold nodded grimly. "That’s exactly what I fear."

"When did it start?" Orion asked.

"About a week ago. A hunter first reported something unusual. I sent scouts immediately."

"And?"

Harold’s expression darkened further.

"They confirmed it. The goblins are hunting nearby monsters now."

Orion clicked his tongue.

"That’s bad."

His voice dropped slightly.

"If they’ve started hunting, it means they’re organizing—trying to unify the area."

He looked toward the window.

"We have three days at best... maybe two. After that, they’ll reach the village."

Harold swallowed.

"Then what do we do?"

"Don’t panic," Orion said.

"I already requested backup from a nearby mage tower before I came."

Harold’s expression eased slightly. "A mage... good. They can wipe out large groups."

"And I’ll handle the E- rank monster," Orion added.

Relief flickered across Harold’s face.

"But... what if they don’t arrive in time?" he asked quietly.

A brief silence followed.

Orion’s eyes narrowed.

"If they don’t arrive in two days—"
