“My turn!

Draw!”

Seeing that his opponent at least took the time to explain naming the Duel Disk, Yugi decided, mercifully, not to use a too “underworld” strategy to take him down.Full novel: Oh No, I’ve Become the Yu-Gi-Oh Boss Monster — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Normal Summon <The Agent of Creation – Venus> in Attack Position!”

Like <Wingweaver>, this was a Fairy-type monster, but on Yugi’s field it resembled a celestial holy statue, with three colored spheres, red, blue, and purple, orbiting around it.

<The Agent of Creation – Venus>, ATK 1600

“Pay 500 Life Points to activate her effect: Special Summon a <Mystical Shine Ball> from my hand or Deck.”

Yugi, LP 4000 -> 3500

Similar to summoning <Treasure Panda>, a pale glowing orb floated in the air, vaguely reminiscent of Levas in DNF.

<Mystical Shine Ball>, ATK 500

“Hmph, such monsters aren’t enough to break my defenses.” Seeing Yugi’s plays, Ryohei figured the owner of this duel spirit was just an LV1 freshman, this was in the bag.

“I’m not done yet.

<Venus>’ effect isn’t once-per-turn; I’ll activate her effect two more times.”

Yugi, LP 3500 -> 2500

“What’s the point of summoning more of these weaklings?

They can’t defeat my mighty <The Creator>!”

“Don’t underestimate them,” Yugi replied, restoring his early-game style points for not naming the Duel Disk.

“Even the weakest monsters, if united, can achieve true power!”

He flicked his wrist: “Activate Spell Card, <Thousand Energy>!

All face-up Level 2 Normal Monsters I control gain 1000 ATK and DEF.

As a cost, all Level 2 Normal Monsters I control will be destroyed at the end of the turn.”

“And <Mystical Shine Ball> is a Level 2 Normal Monster!”

<Mystical Shine Ball> ×3, ATK 500 -> 1500

“Boosted ATK or not, it’s still far from enough.” Ryohei said dismissively.

“Activate Spell Card <Mystic Box>!

Target one monster on each field.

Destroy your monster, then transfer one of my monsters to you.”

Yugi pointed: “I’ll destroy your <Wingweaver> and transfer <The Agent of Creation – Venus> to you!”

Two black boxes, covered in question marks, appeared on each field.

One was pierced by countless swords and opened to reveal <Wingweaver>, impaled like a hedgehog.

The other box remained intact: <The Agent of Creation – Venus>.

As <Wingweaver> and its box were destroyed simultaneously, <The Agent of Creation – Venus>’s box moved to Ryohei’s field.

“Hahahahaha!

Clever tactic, but useless!”

Ryohei laughed. Read this novel at g.com for the best experience.

“Even if your monsters’ ATK increased, they can’t pierce through <The Creator>’s DEF.

As long as <The Creator> remains, <Wingweaver> can revive from the Graveyard even if temporarily defeated.

And if <Horn of the Unicorn> is sent to the Graveyard, it triggers its effect and returns to the top of my Deck.”

“In other words, even if you break through my defenses temporarily, next turn I can recreate the same field and crush you again!”

He normally didn’t boast, but the opponent was a Spirit, so of course he needed to flex a little.

In a way, this guy was attempting to “court” Yugi.

The surrounding crowd couldn’t help but react in a stir:

“D*mn, didn’t expect this kid to be this strong now.”

“Looks like the duel spirit is going to end up in his hands.”

“If he really gets that duel spirit, maybe in a few months’ Academy Tournament he could stand out too.”

Yugi: “…………..”

He wanted to say “what if your field gets broken, won’t those two Horn cards just be wasted?”, but considering the opponent was only LV2, he couldn’t ask for much.

“I activate Spell Card <Delta Attacker>!

This card can only be activated if I control three monsters with the same name.

This turn, those three monsters can attack directly!”

The chatter around and Ryohei’s laughter immediately fell silent.

“Enter the Battle Phase, go, <Mystical Shine Balls>!”

The three Levas sparked with electricity and charged at the enemy with full force.

“Waaaaah———!”

Ryohei, LP4000 -> 0

“Money’s in, money’s in.”

Yugi collected the 100,000 yen with a smile, feeling completely satisfied.

“Thank you for your patronage.”

“D*mn…

just a little bit more…” Ryohei muttered, frustrated, feeling that his carelessness and attachment to the precious duel spirit caused him to lose.

Yugi made sure both him and the surrounding duelists had that realization.

If he hit too hard and scared everyone away, how would he make money?

The spectators still hadn’t realized the two were on entirely different levels.

They cheered hotly about passion and bonds while Yugi just counted his money with tears in his eyes.

“Ah…

for a good long while, I won’t have to worry about money again.”

When Yugi finally looked up, the surrounding duelists were fleeing like little girls spotting a creepy uncle.

Now that they could clearly see the true strength of the opponent, they regretted squandering so many years in the Academy.

“Welcome back next time!”

“Alright, time to take Little Blue for a feast…

Little Blue?!”

Yugi rubbed his eyes, thinking he was hallucinating, but no, it really was Little Blue, the half-dragon maid, <Laundry Dragonmaid>.

However, this true Little Blue had red eyes, curling up pitifully and sobbing.

Next to her was a towering muscular man…

no, a muscular girl?

“Whoa, at first I thought it was Billy King.

This body, it’s actually a girl’s?!” Yugi’s scalp tingled as he glanced at her Student ID.

Ota Yukiko, LV7 Duelist.

Time to skedaddle.

With both her stature and Duelist Level, Yugi had zero desire to mess with her, he was here to make money, not to seek trouble.

However, he hadn’t even taken a step…

“Smack———–!”

A crisp slap rang out.

The muscular girl had actually smacked little Blue hard.

“Useless thing, what the f*ck was that mill?!”

With the power a duel spirit possesses, it didn’t matter that it was this “muscular barbie”, even if a gorilla the size of Kong personally gave that slap, Little Blue wouldn’t feel a thing.

Had a more hot-tempered Spirit been here, it might have immediately turned on its summoner.

But little Blue just let tears stream down and kept bowing, apologizing repeatedly: “I’m sorry, I’m sorry…”

Her expression and demeanor were eerily reminiscent of Elsie’s.

Yet Ota Yukiko had no intention of stopping.

She swung another massive slap: “And you still have the nerve to call out!

If it weren’t for you, how would I have lost to Kaiba Ayatsuki back then?

I should be at the top of the Academy now…”

“Thud———-!”

A fair, clean hand gripped the muscular girl’s arm, thicker than little Blue’s thigh.

“Enough.”

Seeing that the surrounding duelists didn’t dare make a sound, Yugi finally couldn’t help but step in.

Little Blue was this cute, how could anyone hit her?

“You…!” Ota Yukiko’s eyes widened like a cow’s.

“Do you know what she just did?!”

“Whatever it was, that’s no reason for you to hit a duel spirit.”

“She sent my three <Pot of Greeds> to the Graveyard.”

“Uh…”

Yeah, that really was infuriating.
