Nami is walking toward Arlong Park?
Arlong’s eyes darkened instantly, filled with brutality and murderous intent.
He had sent Kuroobi to warn Nami no, to remind her of her place yet now she appeared unharmed while Kuroobi had not returned, leaving only one conclusion in his mind: that outsider and Nami had already dealt with him.
“Chuu!
Go to Cocoyasi Village and find Kuroobi!” Arlong snarled, his saw-like teeth grinding together harshly.
“If you can’t find him… then bring me Nojiko!”
“I understand, Arlong,” replied the Fishman with the strange, puckered mouth as he nodded obediently.
Arlong’s lips curled into a cruel grin as killing intent surged within him.
“I gave you a chance, Nami… since you chose to betray me, don’t blame me for being merciless!”
…
“Finally… I’m here.”
Nami stood before the gates of Arlong Park, her expression calm yet her eyes burned with a determination that had not existed in the past seven years seven years of oppression, deception, and stolen hope.
After witnessing Kuroobi’s defeat and confirming the overwhelming power she now possessed, she no longer doubted herself.
This time she did not sneak in; instead, she walked forward openly, step by step, into the place that had once plunged her into despair.
The two Fishman guards stiffened upon seeing her.
The face was familiar, but the presence she exuded was completely different from the “Cat Burglar” they once knew cold, steady, and fearless.
They instinctively felt danger, yet before they could react, Nami had already walked past them, and neither dared to stop her.
Then a burst of blue-white lightning exploded from her body.
“Ugh AAAH!!!” The two guards collapsed instantly, their bodies charred black as smoke rose from them.
Nami didn’t even look back.
Lightning flickered around her like living serpents, and every Fishman who rushed toward her was struck down in an instant, their bodies convulsing before collapsing.
Her gaze never wavered, locked directly ahead on the towering figure seated upon the throne.
Seven years of humiliation and hatred ignited completely in this moment for the villagers, for Cocoyasi, for Belle-Mère, for her mother.
“NAMI!!!” Arlong’s furious roar shook the entire park as he leapt up and smashed the armrest of his throne into splinters.
“You damned human!
You dare betray me?!
I’ll tear you to pieces!!!”
He grabbed his massive saw-bladed sword, Kiribachi, and charged forward.
To him, Nami was still just a thief; even if something had changed, he would crush her first.
But Nami didn’t move.
She simply looked at him with cold indifference as Kiribachi came crashing down, and in that instant, her body dissolved into a bolt of lightning.
Arlong’s attack passed through empty space.
In the next moment, Nami reappeared in the midst of the Fishmen behind him, raising her hands calmly.
“Discharge.” A dense web of lightning burst outward in all directions, countless arcs spreading like a storm and swallowing everything nearby.
“AAAHHH!!” The Fishmen screamed as their bodies seized and collapsed one after another, and even those who tried to flee could not escape the overwhelming range.
Hatchan, who had just drawn his swords, was struck before he could react; his body went rigid as smoke rose from his chest, and he fell heavily to the ground.
Silence followed, broken only by the crackling of electricity.
Arlong’s pupils shrank as he stared at Nami in disbelief.
“…Lightning?!” There was no mistaking it the transformation, the untouchable form.
“A Devil Fruit… and not just any… a Logia?!” Even in the Grand Line, Logia users were monsters, invincible against ordinary attacks.
But Nami, a mere human girl he had controlled for years how?!
Then realization struck.
The shop.
The outsider.
And Captain Nezumi’s report that Nami had spent money there.
“You damned thief!!!” Arlong roared, veins bulging.
“You used MY 100 million berries to buy this power?!” He didn’t care about logic or impossibility; all he knew was that the money had been his, and now it was gone.
As for Nami being stronger than him, he refused to believe it, because he still had one absolute advantage water.
As a Fishman, the sea was his domain, while Devil Fruit users could not fight in it.
Without hesitation, Arlong turned and plunged into the water below Arlong Park.
“Your Berries…?” Nami’s voice rang out softly as electricity crackled around her again.
She stepped forward slowly, her expression growing colder with each step.
For years, she had clung to the belief that if she gathered 100 million berries, she could buy freedom for herself and for the village but deep down she had always known that Arlong would never keep his promise.
Back then, she had no power, no choice, only hope and self-deception.
But now everything was different.
She raised her hand, and the sky above Arlong Park darkened as thunder rumbled.
“You never intended to let me go… you never intended to free Cocoyasi Village.
Isn’t that right… ARLONG?!”
Lightning flashed across the sky as she condensed it into a blinding spear.
“Thunder Spear.” She hurled it forward, and the bolt tore through the air, piercing straight through Arlong’s chest.
“GUAAAH!!!” His body jerked violently, the wound burned black with no blood flowing only smoke.
Before he could recover, the sky roared again as another lightning strike descended, even stronger than before.
“Lightning Strike.” “AAAAHHHH!!!” Arlong’s body convulsed violently as the lightning engulfed him, his vision blurring and thoughts shattering.
He could not understand how someone who had just obtained such power could wield it so naturally and overwhelmingly; it was nothing like the Devil Fruit users he knew.
Finally, his consciousness faded, and his body sank into the water below the ruler of Arlong Park defeated in his own domain.
…
At the same time, after the ever-energetic duo Joseph and Johnny left the shop full of excitement, Xia Wen finally stepped outside, truly entering the world of pirates for the first time.
He glanced in the direction of Arlong Park before taking a slow breath, feeling the salty sea breeze, the warm sunlight, and the faint fragrance of oranges drifting from Cocoyasi Village.
Everything felt vivid and real.
His goal today was simple: to visit Marine Branch 16 and discuss a “big deal” with Captain Nezumi.
With a crackle of electricity, his body transformed into a streak of lightning.
Unlike Nami’s still-developing control, his transformation was smoother, faster, and far more refined as he shot forward like a bolt tearing across the sky, thunder echoing above.
Whether due to the system or something else, Xia Wen could clearly feel that his control over lightning was far superior; at the very least, he could already maintain sustained lightning movement, far beyond that of a beginner.
…
At Marine Branch 16, Captain Nezumi paced back and forth nervously, cold sweat covering his forehead as his subordinates reported that Nami had stormed Arlong Park alone.
The sheer absurdity of it made him uneasy something was very wrong.
Then, with a deafening boom, thunder exploded overhead as a flash of lightning descended and condensed into a human figure before him.
