At Gansui’s command, the sea of pirates packed behind them swarmed forward like a tide toward Carlo and Kaido.

He gripped his kanabo, ready to step up and indulge in a slaughter.
Right at that moment, Carlo, puffing silently on his cigar, took a step forward.

His eyes narrowed abruptly.

In an instant, a wave of black-and-red light burst from his tall frame, sweeping outward toward the hundreds of charging pirates.
The rapidly expanding light carried tangible pressure, crashing into the crowd like an invisible shockwave.

Hundreds of Rocks Pirates wielding blades and guns tumbled backward like straw men caught in a hurricane.

The sound of air being violently torn apart rang out behind his head.
Without hesitation, Gansui drove his thick right elbow backward in a devastating strike.
Behind him, Carlo’s fist blasted through the air, hurtling forward in a furious punch.

On the surface of Carlo’s right fist, pitch-black Armament Haki flowed like liquid dark light, wrapping around his hand and fingers as it crashed against the heavy armor covering Gansui’s elbow.

Almost at the exact same instant, Malone twirled his oversized revolver twice and leveled a shot at Kaido, who was still standing stunned nearby.

The massive recoil of the heavy revolver seemed to warp the surrounding air.
A bullet shrouded in pitch-black light flew toward Kaido’s face at speed far surpassing standard firearms!
Sensing the danger, Kaido’s combat instincts flared.
The muscles in his arms bulged reactively as he swung his kanabo out in a wild arc.

The black-Haki-infused bullet detonated against the head of the iron club.

The impact sent him staggering back several paces.
The wounds Carlo had inflicted on him earlier reopened, spurting alarming streams of fresh blood.

Is that a cannon?!”
Steadying himself, Kaido grit his teeth and stared at Malone, who was raising the revolver toward him once again.
Malone narrowed his eyes, his finger pulling the trigger in rapid succession.
“To be precise, this is a custom high-power revolver of my own design.
The reason for its power, aside from special ammunition, comes from the Armament Haki I wrap around the rounds.”
“Rookie Kaido, Rocks noticed you long ago and said you were a promising seed.
But seeing you today, your strength doesn’t seem like much.”
As he spoke, several black bullets whizzed through the air again, each locked precisely onto Kaido’s vital spots.
Kaido hurriedly swung his club to intercept.
Yet he was repeatedly pushed back by the cannon-like rounds.
One bullet even grazed his shoulder, leaving a clear red gouge in his dense muscle.
The wounds across his body burst open even further, drenching the makeshift robe he had fashioned from a large strip of cloth in dark crimson.

Propping his kanabo against the ground, Kaido’s eyes injected with blood, turning completely red.

An aura of black and red light suddenly erupted from his massive, blood-soaked body, sweeping toward the advancing Malone!
Malone was caught off guard.

Malone’s body expanded at a terrifying speed.
In the blink of an eye, he transformed into a towering colossus dozens of meters tall.
Kaido, charging with bloodshot eyes, hadn’t even had the chance to swing his kanabo before a giant hand descended from the sky and slammed him directly into the earth!
Fighting nearby against Gansui, Carlo took a brief glance over, his eyes flickering slightly.

He stomped his heavy, iron-plated foot onto the ground.
The ground beneath him shattered instantly.
A violent vibration rippled through the earth.
Carlo felt the shockwave beneath his feet, and an alarm bell immediately blared in his head.
Without a moment’s hesitation, he leaped into the air!
The instant he jumped, the ground within a radius of more than ten meters beneath him expanded explosively and detonated!
