Once again, Kane opened with Oni Giri.

He charged forward, dark purple energy surging along his blade as a terrifying three-meter-long blade aura slashed toward the enemy.

Law followed close behind.

His ROOM expanded instantly — the hemispherical space larger than ever before, enveloping everyone within.

“Shambles!”

Knowing Lao G and Goluseus would be difficult to handle, Law focused his ability entirely on the other slave traders.

Most of those near the front were swapped to Kane’s position, while the remaining grunts were teleported to his own side and their allies.

The slave traders barely had time to react, staring blankly at the enemies who had suddenly appeared before them.

Kane showed no mercy.

After a three-strike Oni Giri combo, he followed up with a Round Dance Slash, wiping out every enemy teleported to him.

Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin were more than familiar with this situation.

They moved in immediately.

The red-haired woman reacted swiftly as well, her ability activating — a nodachi in her left hand, a rapier in her right.

Dual blades crossed, cutting down slave traders left and right.

Her pirate crew followed closely behind.

Within ten breaths, the slave traders were all but wiped out.

Only Lao G and Goluseus remained on the field.

“…Lord Lao G, my Devil Fruit ability can amplify your damage output — making your attacks far more devastating.” Goluseus retreated as he spoke, positioning Lao G in front of him.

“Stay strong!

I’ll support you from behind!”

Lao G didn’t even spare him a glance — clearly contemptuous of such a coward.

“Law — come back with me.

I can promise not to harm your companions, G.”

Law didn’t respond, silently preparing his ROOM stance.

Lao G persisted, trying to find an opening through Kane instead.

“I guarantee the auction house matter is settled.

Not only that — if you hand Law over to me, the Donquixote Family will owe you.

I can even introduce you to the Young Master — make you part of the family, G.”

“Oh?

You really won’t hold it against me?

I heard those buyers had quite the status.”

Kane kept his head down, step by step closing the distance.

“Rest assured.

If the Young Master speaks, the powers behind those buyers will show respect, G.”

The Young Master’s word naturally carried weight — but only if you brought value to the family.

High enough value, and he’d reach out without needing any prior agreement.

Low value, and even with a signed contract, whether he’d back you up depended entirely on his mood.

There was no need to explain any of that to outsiders.

Lao G strained to keep his expression neutral, afraid of provoking the other side and jeopardizing the negotiation: “In the North Blue, the Donquixote Family still carries considerable weight— GUH!”

Dark purple energy slashes filled his vision.

He barely managed to raise his arms to protect his head — Armament Haki coming a moment too late.

The slashes cut deep into his body before looping back, dealing multiple layers of damage.

All that useless yapping.

Kane had no intention of abandoning any of his companions. Visit g.com for the full chapter.

Take my Ghost Shadow Whip!

I was closing the distance.

What the hell were you waiting for?

Death?

“How disgraceful, G!” Ignoring his arm riddled with fresh wounds, Lao G assumed his G-stance and launched a fierce assault.

Under the barrage of fists, Kane raised his blade to block — but after a single deflection, he switched to evasion.

The enemy’s attacks were stronger than expected.

Of course — the Evil Eye Domain’s amplification was fixed in proportion.

The difference in enhancement between grunts and an executive was enormous.

“ROOM — Shambles!”

Kane’s position was swapped.

He followed through with a slash, carving a fresh wound across Lao G’s back.

Then, in the brief moment of the enemy’s counterattack, Law, Bepo, Shachi, Penguin, and the red-haired woman — all five auxiliary attackers — appeared at his side, striking in unison.

Blade slashes, bat swings, flying kicks — all landed.

But this time, they were disappointed.

A thin layer of Armament Haki repelled every single blow.

Seeing this, the one-eyed man understood that he and his crew would only get in the way.

After a moment’s thought, he led the remaining pirates around the heated battle, swarming toward Goluseus, who was cowering near the auction hall entrance.

“At this rate, it’s not going to work.

I’ll hold him off — you all take out the ability user.”

Kane adjusted his breathing, pushing his body to its limits to draw out ghostly aura.

Every strike was an Oni Giri, offense as his only defense, breaking through the enemy’s Armament Haki.

Even if it only left shallow wounds, it didn’t matter — it was a trade of heavy wounds for light ones.

He was prepared.

On Law’s side, the five auxiliary attackers understood the need for sacrifice.

They all charged at Goluseus together.

“You made a mistake.

Let me help you — make this place your grave, G!”

Kane said nothing.

He kept swinging his blade, his razor-sharp focus slowly emptying into a state of pure clarity.

Under the relentless Oni Giri strikes, the wounds he left on his opponent grew longer and deeper.

“Combat Preservation Fist!

Masterful technique!

My power is at its peak, G!”

Lao G matched his intensity, releasing his inner ki once more.

His frame grew larger, his face becoming younger.

This was his self-created Goken ultimate secret technique — Combat Preservation Fist — a qi technique that preserved his power from his prime so he could continue fighting even in old age.

“HAH — TATATATATA, G!”

Under the savage assault, Kane’s situation grew increasingly desperate.

His injuries alone would make even a master physician gasp.

Law, unable to see clearly from the distance, focused much of his attention on Kane, worry gnawing at him.

Suddenly, Kane’s aura shifted.

The ghostly energy around him contracted, and he no longer maintained his Oni Giri.

His presence became as ordinary as an average person’s.

His long sword could no longer break through the enemy’s Armament Haki.

Most might think he was running out of stamina, simply waiting to die.

But Lao G did not think so.

He couldn’t explain why, but unease crept into his heart — and as time passed, it grew into genuine dread.

Haki was a manifestation of the heart’s strength.

Those with strong wills grew more powerful through relentless battle.

Thus, those who had awakened Haki and could wield it with skill trusted their instincts implicitly.

He could not afford to ignore this feeling any longer!

Outwardly, Lao G continued his Goken Wild Punching.

But in secret, he began gathering power, ready to unleash his ultimate technique — aiming to end the fight in a single blow.

Kane’s aura grew more and more rounded.

He closed his eyes and sensed the power of the heart within him.

Some swordsmen could not cut paper, could not slice through leaves.

His blade swept across Lao G’s bodysuit without leaving a single mark.

Yet such a swordsman — one who seemed to cut nothing — could cut steel.

His blade drew blood.

Kane entered a new realm.

And not only that — the realm of cutting steel stirred the power of his heart.

He paused.

The power of his heart moved with his will.

An invisible force wrapped around his blade.

He swung his sword — and it cut through the enemy’s Armament Haki with greater ease than before, and with better effect.

“LAW!” Kane roared.

Law, who had been watching the battle the entire time from a distance, instantly understood.

His ROOM expanded in that moment.

Goluseus’s cleaver was already descending upon the red-haired woman.

She raised her twin blades to block — but in that split second, Kane appeared between them.

With a single swing, he sliced the cleaver in half, then followed through and decapitated the enemy.

The battlefield fell silent.

All eyes were on Kane.

Lao G stared in disbelief at that long sword — at the energy clinging to it.

He knew that power all too well.

Armament Haki.

The red-haired woman remained frozen, her blades still crossed, staring blankly at Kane.

The cold light of the ceiling lamp fell on his profile, so striking she couldn’t look away.

Her sharp, cold eyes trembled.

Kane flicked his sword, shaking off the blood droplets.

He wrapped the blade in Armament Haki, turned, and walked forward with steady, deliberate steps.

The Evil Eye man was dead.

The pressure was now on Lao G.
