“I’m not crazy.

As for whether you’re crazy or not, I have no idea, and I’m not interested in finding out.

Either way, I can’t treat you.”Full novel: One Piece: Garp Raised a Sword God — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Roya looked at Hina with an utterly calm expression.

Pfft!

This time, Hina was the one who was nearly angered into spitting blood by a single sentence.

She almost couldn’t resist shooting Roya, but after gritting her teeth and remembering that he was Vice Admiral Garp’s nephew, she managed to restrain herself.

Even so, a faint murderous glint still appeared in her eyes as she looked at him.

Roya shrugged and completely ignored Hina’s murderous gaze.

After all, it had been Hina’s earlier remark about taking leave if he was sick that had nearly made him lose his composure.

This was the first time that had happened since he came to this world.

Seeing Roya completely disregard her murderous glare, Hina felt helpless and exhausted at the same time.

She looked around at the surrounding area, hesitating for a while.

As time slowly passed, however, she gradually found it harder and harder to remain calm.

Because…

despite all this time passing, not a single ferocious beast had appeared!

And that was precisely what made the situation feel even more ominous and dangerous.

At this moment, Hina even felt as though countless ferocious beasts were hiding somewhere in the surrounding forest, waiting to leap out at any moment.

Perhaps there were simply too many of them.

Maybe they were confronting one another, unwilling to leave, yet afraid to attack because they were wary of the other beasts.

“Hey!

Are you really not leaving?

If you’re staying, Hina is leaving.”

After taking a deep breath, Hina finally looked at Roya with a serious expression.

Her mental fortitude was ultimately no match for Roya’s.

He had already died once in his previous life before transmigrating into this world, and he could remain calm in circumstances that were becoming increasingly terrifying.

Hina couldn’t stay in such an oppressive environment any longer.

Hearing Hina’s words, Roya turned his head and gave her a casual glance before making a simple gesture that essentially meant she could do whatever she wanted.

Hina gritted her teeth and turned around.

She wasn’t actually planning to simply abandon Roya and let him be killed by countless ferocious beasts.

Instead, she intended to reach an area covered by surveillance and call the rescue team for him.

What Roya was doing was so absurd that the fact that no examiner had come to stop him yet was strange.

It was possible that the surveillance equipment in this area had been destroyed by the flames that had just burned the Brownback Giant Ape to death.

Thinking this, Hina decisively prepared to leave the area as quickly as possible.

But—

Before Hina could even step into the bushes, a foul gust of air suddenly swept out from within.

An overwhelming sense of danger, as though she would die in the very next instant, surged through her.

At that moment, Hina reacted almost entirely on instinct.

With an extreme reflex, she suddenly threw her head backward, flipped through the air, and leaped away.

Snap!

Almost at the exact moment Hina leaned backward and flipped away, a gigantic maw suddenly emerged from the bushes and lunged forward in a vicious bite.

The enormous jaws snapped shut just short of Hina, missing her by the narrowest of margins and merely brushing against the edge of her clothes.

“Damn it!

Is it already too late?!”

Hina stared at the giant Azure Wolf emerging from the bushes.

It was three or four times larger than an ordinary wolf, and Hina’s expression immediately became extremely grim.

Level Two ferocious beast—the Giant Azure Wolf!

Hina already had her gun in her hands, but she didn’t dare fire immediately.

She had no idea whether this was the only Giant Azure Wolf in the area or whether countless other ferocious beasts were hiding nearby.

A single Level Two ferocious beast like the Giant Azure Wolf wasn’t something she feared.

But right now, she was worried that the moment she fired, the entire area would erupt into chaos.

After its bite missed, the Giant Azure Wolf did not immediately pounce again.

Instead, its unsettling wolf eyes remained fixed on Hina as it slowly approached her, one step at a time.

This wolf clearly possessed a certain degree of intelligence.

After missing with its first bite, it understood that the creature before it would not be easy to kill and devour outright.

Therefore, it did not attack recklessly.

Instead, it intended to put pressure on Hina and wait for her to reveal an opening before delivering a fatal strike.

As the giant wolf slowly approached, an invisible pressure descended upon Hina.

Sweat gradually appeared on her forehead.

If they were anywhere else, Hina would have countless ways to deal with this Giant Azure Wolf.

She wouldn’t be suppressed by its imposing presence at all.

After all, Hina was among the strongest recruits in the ordinary training camp and was fully qualified to enter the elite camp.

But under the current circumstances, Hina didn’t dare act recklessly.

Part of her attention remained focused on the Giant Azure Wolf in front of her, but most of it was directed toward the dark shadows scattered throughout the surrounding forest.

By now, Hina had clearly seen numerous dark silhouettes appearing among the trees.

Every one of those shadows could be a ferocious beast!

The scent of roasted meat had prevented these beasts from fighting among themselves.

Instead, every single one of them was silently closing in.

This entire area had already been surrounded.

“This is bad.

I’m really going to get myself killed because of that idiot Roya!”

Faced with this situation, Hina felt her heart sink.

Even her small hands seemed to be gradually losing their warmth.

Meanwhile, Roya had been quietly observing everything.

He wasn’t trying to watch Hina make a fool of herself.

Rather, he was calmly observing the dark silhouettes in the forest and calculating how he should fight them.

Very quickly, Roya reached a conclusion.

There was no need to consider how to fight at all!

For Roya, the terrain of this forest was overwhelmingly advantageous.

Combined with his ability to release flames, there was no difference between facing a single ferocious beast and facing an entire group.

It didn’t matter how many there were.

So if that was the case, what was there to think about?!

At that moment, Roya, who had been leaning against a tree with Engetsu in his arms, finally straightened his body.

The corners of his mouth lifted into a faint, unsettling smile.

A trace of excitement seemed to flicker in his eyes.

On the surface, Roya had a somewhat dark and mischievous personality.

But deep within him, there was still a burning passion.

It was precisely that passion that had led to his death in his previous life.

Yet even after dying once and transmigrating into this world, that passion had never disappeared from Roya’s heart.

This was, after all, a world filled with passion and adventure.

Why should he allow that fire within him to disappear?

This practical combat examination, in which he was hunting ferocious beasts while surrounded by a massive number of them, had quietly ignited that faint flame within Roya’s heart.

After straightening his body, Roya revealed an unsettling smile.

One hand gripped Engetsu’s scabbard while the other grasped its hilt.

He held the sword horizontally before his chest and slowly began drawing it from its sheath.

Shing!!

The next instant, Engetsu suddenly flashed free of its scabbard!

Hina had been keeping a vigilant eye on the Giant Azure Wolf as it advanced toward her step by step.

When she heard the sound of Roya drawing his sword, she couldn’t help splitting her attention and glancing toward him.

Almost at the exact moment Hina’s attention wavered and her eyes shifted toward Roya, a bloodthirsty glint suddenly flashed through the Giant Azure Wolf’s eyes.

It realized that an opportunity had appeared.

The giant wolf suddenly lunged forward, aiming directly for Hina’s throat.

Damn it!

Hina immediately realized what was happening.

She cursed inwardly and prepared to dodge with all her strength.

But from the corner of her eye, her peripheral vision suddenly caught sight of Roya.

Shing!!

Almost in that very instant, under Hina’s astonished and shocked gaze, Roya suddenly burst forward with a speed even greater than hers.

He seemed like a streak of lightning, flashing across the distance from the side in an instant.
