“Jellal, how long will it take us to reach the Grand Line?”

After setting sail, Kuina seemed exceptionally excited, constantly looking forward to the sights awaiting them on the Grand Line.

Compared to the peaceful East Blue, she yearned more for the clash of steel on the Grand Line.Full novel: One Piece: I Helped Boa Hancock Become Pirate King — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Jellal, riding his bicycle and gazing distantly towards the Red Line, said calmly, “About ten days or so.

Our Kuja Pirates will set sail in a month, we’ll make it in time.”

Upon arriving at Shimotsuki Village, Jellal had told Kuina about his status as a pirate.

Neither Kuina nor Genzo had formed a negative impression of Jellal because of his pirate identity.

In this world, many people aimed to set sail, some even took pride in becoming pirates.

To set sail and become a pirate was a symbol of bravery!

“Half a month?”

Kuina’s eyes sparkled brightly, as if she couldn’t wait.

She really wanted to meet her Captain, Boa Hancock, as soon as possible!

During Jellal’s time at the Isshin Dojo, she had heard this name from him many times!

Jellal had said that the Captain was very strong!

Jellal was no match for the Captain either!

(Jellal: I gave her the Love-Love Fruit, what can I do?

I fell for her.)

She had witnessed Jellal’s strength before; the scene of him cleaving the sea with a single sword strike had left a deep impression on her.

But Jellal said he was no match for the Captain!

This made Kuina incredibly expectant.

“Kuina, although I’ve told you many times, I’ll ask you once more.

A pirate’s life is very cruel, living every day in an environment where you either kill or are killed.

Are you sure you can adapt to that?

On the Grand Line, countless pirates die in conflicts almost every day.

Compared to the East Blue, the Grand Line might be like hell!” Jellal stopped his bicycle, turned back, and said softly to Kuina.

Jellal’s words were not an exaggeration.

Compared to people from other seas, those living in the East Blue were almost as weak as sheep.

The East Blue was indeed calmer than other seas, and the number and quality of pirates couldn’t compare to the other three seas.

But the people here didn’t live that well; some places were peaceful, but their lives were even worse than in seas like the North Blue, which had more pirates!

During the over month Jellal had been in the East Blue searching for the Mera Mera no Mi, he visited many islands but didn’t find it.

However, he discovered a phenomenon: the common folk of the East Blue lived very hard lives.

The East Blue was peaceful, eerily so.

Here, as long as you had money, there was nothing you couldn’t accomplish.

As the weakest sea, while the East Blue was safe, it also bred many corrupt officials!

The World Government constantly sucked the nutrients from the East Blue.

“Of course!

If I can’t even overcome these things, how can I become the strongest!” Kuina’s lips curved upwards; she didn’t take Jellal’s warnings to heart.

Jellal, where is Wano Country?”

“Wano Country?

We’ll definitely go there!

Wano Country is located in the latter half of the Grand Line, the New World!

That’s the lair of one of the Four Emperors, Beast Kaido!” Jellal said calmly.

Genzo actually wanted Kuina to go to Wano Country?

This was something Jellal hadn’t expected.

It seemed the Shimotsuki Family had deep ties with Wano Country!

“Beast Kaido?

That strongest creature in the world, Kaido?

That’s amazing!” Kuina tightened her grip on wado ichimonji, faintly exuding a hint of fighting spirit.

Jellal chuckled lightly, then continued pedaling his bicycle with Kuina towards Loguetown.

“Jellal, I’m so hungry.

Let’s find an island to eat!” After two days of riding the bicycle on the sea, Kuina finally couldn’t take it anymore.

Her stomach growled in protest.

Jellal stopped the bicycle, looked around, and extended his Observation Haki far out, but found no trace of any islands.

He then said, “There are no islands nearby.

We’ll just have to make do on the sea.”

“Huh?

No islands?

Then what do we eat?” Kuina was a bit frustrated.

The initial excitement of setting sail had faded, replaced by two days of boring sea travel.

“Don’t worry, there’s plenty to eat here!” Jellal wasn’t worried about food at all.

His Observation Haki extended down into the sea, finally locating a school of fish.

He pedaled the bicycle towards the direction of the fish school.

“This is the spot.

I’ll let you try my cooking skills in a moment,” Jellal said slowly after stopping the bicycle.

“But there’s no food here either?

Are you going to catch fish?

But there’s no place to stand here,” Kuina said, puzzled.

“You’ll know soon enough,” Jellal didn’t explain.

He just slowly crouched down, placing his palm on the seawater.

“Mystic Ice Freeze Aura!”

As Jellal activated his Devil Fruit ability, the sea surface for dozens of meters around instantly froze!

A thick layer of ice formed!

“Wow…

that’s amazing! Get faster updates on g.com.

You can even freeze the sea!

Jellal, is this your Devil Fruit ability?” Kuina’s eyes widened in astonishment.

The seawater had actually been frozen by Jellal!

“That’s right.

I ate the Cold-Cold Fruit, I’m a Cold Human.

Wait a bit, we’ll have fish to eat soon,” Jellal said casually.

He then took out seasonings, a knife, and a fishing rod from his backpack.

After preparing everything, he baited the hook, cast the line into the sea, and waited for a big fish to bite.

Jellal had just discovered a large school of fish here.

Kuina suddenly felt Jellal might be a bit unreliable.

Fishing suddenly in the middle of this vast ocean felt somewhat off.

But Jellal had said there were no islands nearby, so she could only wait by his side, hoping some foolish fish would take the bait.

As Kuina was lost in thought, the float moved!

“Fish!

Jellal, a fish is biting!” Kuina exclaimed excitedly, pointing at the float and waving her hands.

“Come on up!” Jellal gave the fishing rod a strong pull, and a fish weighing about a hundred pounds was yanked out of the water.

“Awesome, Jellal!

We finally have meat to eat!” Kuina stared at the large fish still flopping on the ice, her mouth practically watering.

Jellal removed the hook, picked up the knife, and quickly began preparing the large fish.

Before long, a dish of frozen fish sashimi was ready.

“Kuina, come try this.

It’s my specialty!”

“Okay!

Let me try…” Kuina directly picked up a piece of fish with her bare hands, dipped it in a bit of the seasoning Jellal had prepared, and put it in her mouth.

After chewing a few times, her eyes lit up.

“So delicious!

This fish is so tender and springy!”

“Of course!

You won’t go hungry following me!” Jellal smiled slightly and also started eating.

After two days of pedaling, he was a bit hungry too.

“Hmm?

It can’t be this coincidental, can it?” After just a few bites, Jellal sensed a powerful presence approaching.

“What’s wrong, Jellal?” Kuina asked, puzzled, then also looked in the direction Jellal was gazing.

Gradually, a warship appeared in the distance, its bow adorned with a dog’s head holding a bone in its mouth!
