As evening approached, the last rays of the setting sun dipped behind the mountains, dyeing half the sky crimson.

On the other side, a full moon rose from the sea like a silver disk, its light shimmering across the waves.

One of our men discovered a mining site deep inside the island.

There are a lot of captured villagers being held there!”

Hearing this, Valsa suddenly understood.

“So that’s what this bunch of pirates have been doing on this tiny, godforsaken island for so many years.

They have a mining site.”

Kweiv struggled his way out of the ground and shook the dirt from his body.

Looking down at the staircase leading into the depths of the earth, he finally understood.

The prison had been built underground.

Kweiv’s eyes turned cold.

All four of his arms struck at once, smashing apart the rocks beside him.

He then hauled over several enormous stones and used them to block the entrance to the underground prison.

Next life, don’t become pirates.

Kweiv said the words silently to them in his heart.

He looked around and determined his approximate location before sprinting away.

I remember the mining site is somewhere around here.

I’ll join up with the villagers first, then we’ll fight back against the pirates together.

Before long, he reached the outskirts of the mining site.

Seeing a large number of pirates still patrolling the area, he quickly hid behind a rock and observed their movements.

Faint clanging sounds could be heard in the distance.

It seemed the villagers weren’t having an easy time here either.

The mining site was far from the village, making it extremely difficult for information to travel.

More importantly, no one had come to deliver any news.

The dozens of Outlaw Pirates stationed here were still completely in the dark.

They had no idea that their base had already been wiped out, along with practically everyone inside it.

I need to determine where the villagers are first.

Kweiv thought to himself.

There are too many patrols around the perimeter right now, and it’s too easy to expose myself.

I’ll wait until nightfall before making my move…

Kweiv circled the mining site several times, carefully planning his escape route.

Soon, night descended.

Small points of fire were lit throughout the mining site, while the clanging sounds gradually disappeared.

The villagers had apparently stopped working.

Kweiv took a deep breath.

His figure transformed into a blur as he silently slipped into the mining site without alerting any of the patrolling pirates.

The darkness became his cloak of protection.

“I wonder what that important person looks like.

Of all days, they had to make me stand guard today.”

“Hey, be grateful.

I heard that important person is a big shot who kills without blinking.

Be careful he doesn’t kill you on a whim.

No one would stand up for you.”

Kweiv was searching for where the villagers rested when two patrolling pirates suddenly appeared in front of him.

They startled him badly.

He quickly hid behind a curtain and waited until they had walked away before continuing.

With Kweiv’s physical abilities, dealing with two pirates would be incredibly easy.

But there was no guarantee he could do so without making a sound.

If the noise attracted the attention of the other pirates, things would become troublesome.

Even though his close-quarters combat ability was extremely strong, the pirates were armed with guns.

With so many of them around, he wouldn’t even be able to get close.

After weaving through the area for some time, he finally found where the villagers were being kept.

Large caves had been carved directly into the mountainside, with the villagers held inside them.

However, two patrolling pirates stood at the entrance to the villagers’ resting area, both carrying guns.

I need an opportunity.

Kweiv silently told himself.

He stealthily moved to a position about ten meters from one of them and waited in silence.

As soon as his prey revealed an opening, he would pounce like a tiger and tear it apart!

Kweiv stared at him without blinking.

Finally, his patience paid off.

It wasn’t long before the pirate seemed to grow sleepy.

He tilted his head back and yawned.

Now!

Kweiv struck like a venomous snake that had been lying in wait.

In an instant, he was behind the pirate.

Two of his hands immediately seized the man’s arms, preventing him from drawing his gun, while his other two hands swiftly grabbed his head and twisted with all their strength.

CRACK!

The pirate’s neck snapped.

The other pirate had noticed Kweiv the moment he appeared.

But Kweiv’s movements had been far too fast and fluid, as though he had performed the maneuver countless times before.

The pirate didn’t even have time to warn his companion.

BANG!

A gunshot rang out across the mining site, its echo carrying into the distance.

The remaining pirate stared blankly ahead.

A circular hole one centimeter in diameter had appeared in his forehead, blood steadily seeping from it.

With an expression of unwillingness, he collapsed into a pool of blood.

At the same time Kweiv twisted the first pirate’s neck, the two hands holding the man’s arms instantly drew the pistol from his waist.

With lightning speed, he shot and killed the other pirate.

The entire fight had lasted less than a second.

With four arms, Kweiv might look like a monster to others, but those four arms gave him countless unexpected ways to fight.

No one had any experience dealing with an opponent with four arms.

And in battle, a single mistake could determine the outcome in an instant.

The gunshot naturally woke the villagers closest to the scene.

They hurried to the iron bars and looked outside.

When they saw that Kweiv had killed the two pirates and was quickly approaching them, they expected salvation.

But what happened was completely different from what Kweiv had imagined.

He had thought everyone would be delighted and excited to see someone coming to rescue them.

Yet when Kweiv approached with a smile, the villagers recoiled like frightened rabbits, their eyes filled with fear and disgust.

Kweiv’s smile froze on his face.

But he quickly recovered and lowered his voice.

“Everyone, I’m here to rescue you!

A lot of those pirates are already asleep, but that gunshot just now is bound to wake some of them up.

We need to get out of here quickly!”

Seeing that none of the villagers moved, Kweiv couldn’t help growing anxious.

At that moment, an elderly white-haired man stepped out from the crowd.

It was the village chief.

The old chief shakily walked up to the iron bars.

Unlike the fear in everyone else’s eyes, his eyes were narrowed into slits, revealing a hint of cunning.

They darted constantly from side to side.

The old chief cleared his throat and slowly asked, “Kweiv, I remember that you were captured by the pirates and thrown into prison.

How did you end up here?”

“I ambushed the prison guard, stole his keys, and escaped.

But forget about that for now.

We need to get out while they haven’t discovered us yet.

Then we’ll take weapons and equipment and drive those pirates off Dunro Island.”

Kweiv was extremely anxious.

As he spoke, he repeatedly glanced back to check whether the pirates were coming.

“Oh!

So that’s what happened!”

The old chief nodded in sudden realization.

Just then, a three-man pirate patrol was rapidly approaching.

Kweiv stamped his foot anxiously when he saw them.

“Damn it!

I’ll hide first.

Draw their attention, and then I’ll strike and kill them!”

Kweiv returned to his previous hiding spot.

When the three pirates saw the bodies on the ground, they were immediately alarmed and sounded the alarm.

Damn it!

They actually had an alarm switch on them?!

Kweiv roared inwardly.

Such devices were hardly unusual in the South Blue, a sea renowned for its advanced technology.

The three pirates cautiously scanned their surroundings before immediately questioning the villagers about what had happened.

Good.

Once their attention is drawn away, I’ll strike instantly and kill them!
