Silence.

The night wind on the back hill swept through the treetops, rustling.

Sabo even held his breath for a beat.Full novel: One Piece: The Lazy Brother of Luffy — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The World Nobles, descendants of the Creators, the Celestial Dragons who have held the reins of power over the world for eight hundred years.

Throughout the entire sea, even those vicious, atrocious pirates in the New World have to weigh their options when they hear that name.

But in Ron’s mouth, how did they become trash wearing fishbowl helmets?

Words this treasonous, capable of summoning an Admiral to slaughter the island at any moment.

Ron just said it so casually in front of everyone, not even bothering to hide it.

Sabo’s mouth hung wide open.

His tears stuck in his eyes, forgotten.

Although Luffy and Ace didn’t understand what the Celestial Dragons were, and hadn’t traveled far, but seeing Sabo’s look of extreme panic, they knew it wasn’t a good sign.

While Sabo was stunned, Luffy stretched out his two rubber arms, and with a smack, tightly wrapped them around Sabo’s left leg.

Ace was also a tough guy.

He lunged like a tiger and hugged Sabo’s right leg.

The two brothers, one on the left and one on the right, turned into two giant pendants, pinning Sabo firmly to the ground.

“You are not allowed to leave!” Luffy shouted, wiping all his snot onto Sabo’s pant leg.

“If you dare to run away today, I’ll break your legs and drag you back to tie you to a tree.” Ace gritted his teeth.

His grip was surprisingly strong.

Sabo couldn’t break free.

The feelings of life-and-death separation that he had worked so hard to brew were completely ruined by these two guys.

“Let go!

You guys don’t understand how terrifying the Celestial Dragons are!” Sabo said, his face flushed with anxiety.

“That’s enough.” Ron sat up straight on the rattan chair, interrupting the farce.

“In the middle of the night, your howling is killing my appetite.”

He waved his hand casually.

Several things abruptly appeared in mid-air and landed steadily on the flat, large bluestone slab nearby.

A piece of meat as large as a washbasin, red and white.

That was the [Top-Quality Wagyu Beef] just extracted from the system.

The fat marbling on it was extremely delicate and intertwined, so uniform that not a single flaw could be found, glowing with an alluring luster under the moonlight.

Beside it were several strangely shaped glass bottles.

Inside were [Modern Secret BBQ Seasoning], rose sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper.

Ron stood up and strolled over to the bluestone slab.

“Eating boiled wild boar every day, my mouth is getting bored to death.”

He didn’t use any fire-starting tools.

He just snapped his fingers casually.

A cluster of crimson flames shot up from the tip of Ron’s index finger.

The flame did not waver in the slightest in the night wind.

He flicked his finger.

The ball of flame landed directly beneath the bluestone slab, spreading out and enveloping the entire slab.

The temperature of the slab rose sharply within seconds.

Its surface turned a dark red.

Ron drew the famous sword, Flowing Cloud, that had dropped not long ago.

One of the 21 Great Grade Swords, a peerless sword rarely seen in the East Blue, became nothing more than a kitchen knife for cutting meat in Ron’s hands.

A cold light flashed.

The thick Wagyu beef was precisely sliced into uniform pieces.

The knife work was so fast that not even an afterimage remained.

Ron flicked the back of the knife, and the red and white meat slices were neatly placed onto the scorching hot bluestone slab.

Sizzle—the extremely high fat content of the Wagyu beef exploded the moment it touched the high heat.

The rich aroma of fat, mixed with the charred scent of meat roasted at high temperature, suddenly spread all around.

Without any marination, the top-tier fat alone already emitted an irresistible magic.

Makino had just poured a glass of fruit juice and brought it over.

Smelling this aroma, her footsteps paused in place.

Her gentle eyes stared intently at the meat slices on the bluestone slab, and her throat swallowed unconsciously.

Even Uta, who had been hanging around Ron trying to please him, stopped kneading his legs.

The little girl ran over barefoot, tiptoed, and stared with bright, shining eyes at the meat steaks that were changing color.

Ron flipped his wrist.

The secret seasoning from the glass bottle sprinkled down.

The rose sea salt brought out the most authentic sweetness of the Wagyu beef.

The freshly ground black pepper added a spicy aroma.

The modern BBQ seasoning provided by the system elevated this scent to a dimension that the natives of the East Blue could not comprehend at all.

The unique, overpowering aroma of cumin, mixed with the charred scent of fat, ran rampant throughout the entire back hill.

Rumble…

On the grass, three extremely loud stomach growls rang out one after another.

Luffy released his arms wrapped around Sabo, and Ace also let go of his leg.

The three stood there blankly, gazing longingly at the bluestone slab under Ron’s hands.

Sabo’s mind had originally been full of Celestial Dragons, nobles, fire, and destruction, but now he found that he couldn’t even summon a shred of sadness.

His nasal cavity was completely filled with that violent aroma of meat, and an unbearable spasm rose in his stomach.

He swallowed his saliva, almost forgetting his own name.

Ron tapped the bluestone slab twice with the back of his knife and flipped the meat.

It was seared to medium-rare, with a crispy charred crust on the surface and a faint pink color on the inside.

“Open up.” Ron ordered.

Uta was the quickest.

She had long since opened her little mouth roundly.

Ron picked up the smallest piece, blew on the heat, and stuffed it into her mouth.

He then turned his head and fed another piece into Makino’s slightly parted red lips.

Both beauties, one big and one small, covered their cheeks simultaneously.

It melted in their mouths.

The fat of the top-quality Wagyu beef exploded in their mouths.

That mellow, dense texture, combined with the overpowering spices, sent their taste buds into a frenzy.

Watching Uta and Makino’s expressions of enjoyment, the eyes of the three brothers nearby were almost turning green.

Ron wasn’t stingy either.

With a scoop of the blade, he threw the remaining dozen or so slices of roasted meat, along with the fat, into a large wooden tray nearby.

With a kick of his toe, the tray landed steadily in the center of the grass.

“Eat up.

Be quiet once you’re full.”

Before the tray even landed, Luffy’s rubber arm had already swung over.

“Meat!

Mine!” Luffy grabbed three slices in one hand and shoved them directly into his mouth.

Ace wasn’t about to fall behind either.

He wasn’t even afraid of the heat, reaching out with his bare hands to grab some.

“Leave some for me!

You bastard!”

Sabo was stunned at first.

The next second, whatever Celestial Dragons, whatever noble status, were all thrown to the back of his mind.

He flipped off his top hat, lunged forward, squeezed between the two brothers, and started eating with both hands.

“So delicious!

What kind of top-quality meat is this?!” Luffy shouted incoherently while chewing.

Tears even streamed out.

This wasn’t because of sadness, but was forced out by the extreme sense of happiness brought by the food.

“Shut up, don’t grab mine!” Ace said, his mouth full of oil, not forgetting to kick Luffy.

Sabo grabbed a large piece and swallowed it into his stomach without even chewing it a few times.

That indescribable aroma of fat slid down his esophagus into his stomach, and the pores all over his body relaxed.

The despair, fear, and pressure that had accumulated over the past few days were smoothed away by this top-tier late-night snack, leaving absolutely nothing behind.

He slumped onto the grass and let out a satisfied burp.

Looking at the starry sky, he suddenly felt that even if the sky were to fall, it didn’t seem like such a big deal.

No matter how terrifying those Celestial Dragons are, can they make such top-quality food?

Can they slice that giant tiger with one sword strike?

With Big Brother here, the East Blue wouldn’t collapse at all.

The meat slices in the wooden tray were swept clean in the blink of an eye.

Even the cumin seeds that fell on the grass blades were picked up and licked clean by Luffy.

Ron ignored them and sat back on the rattan chair.

Makino walked over and timely handed him a glass of freshly squeezed fruit juice with ice cubes.

He took the cup, bit the straw, and took a big gulp.

The cold, sweet, and sour liquid suppressed the slight greasiness.

Watching the three little ones lying on the ground, sprawled out and savoring the aftertaste, Ron raised his eyelids.

“Full?”

The three of them nodded vigorously in unison, their heads bobbing up and down repeatedly.

The glass in Ron’s hand clinked against the table with a crisp sound.

“If you’re full, get lost and go train, otherwise don’t even think about eating another slice of my meat.”

Hearing this, the three of them collectively shuddered.

The happiness from just a moment ago was instantly wiped out.
