The cliff edge along the coast.

The luxurious picnic set, swiped from the system space, almost completely covered the flat ground by the cliff.

It was not just a moisture-proof mat.Full novel: One Piece: The Lazy Brother of Luffy — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

There was also a large folding parasol.

The ribs were made of aerospace-grade aluminum, and the canopy was coated with a UV-resistant layer.

On the smokeless grill nearby, Wagyu beef, marinated by Makino early that morning, was already neatly arranged.

It was a proper, full-fledged vacation style.

Ron lay comfortably on the mat, his head resting fully on Makino’s soft, fair thighs.

The warm, yielding flesh cradled him perfectly; every slight shift of her legs pressed the smooth skin more firmly against his cheek.

He had one leg propped up, swaying it lazily in time with the distant sound of the waves.

“Ron, is the pressure here okay?” Makino lowered her eyelids, her slender fingers working carefully at his temples.

The soft underside of her breasts shifted gently beneath her tight uniform with every small movement of her arms.

“Change your technique… move your fingertips down two inches.”

Ron suddenly rolled over, turning his face fully into her lap.

He buried half his face against the fabric of her long dress, right at the soft junction of her thighs, and drew in a deep, unhurried breath.

The warm scent of her skin and the faint fragrance of her clothes filled his lungs.

His nose pressed firmly into the pliant flesh, and his lips brushed the thin material covering her.

“Yes… right there.

Your skills are improving, Makino.”

The blunt praise and the intimate way he nuzzled into her made Makino’s ears flush a deep red.

She secretly applied a bit more pressure with her fingers, half in retaliation for his shameless behavior, yet her lips still curved in an indulgent, slightly flustered smile.

Her thighs tensed subtly under his head, the soft flesh squeezing gently against his face as she continued the massage, clearly aware of just how closely he was pressed against her.

Outside the parasol, Uta was dressed in light clothing, sitting cross-legged on a low stool.

She held a large handful of iron skewers, struggling with the Wagyu beef.

The little girl occasionally peeked at the two lovebirds in the shade, her mouth pouting high.

“Brother is biased.

When I massage your back, you say my hands are too weak, but when Sister Makino massages your head, you’re all relaxed.” Uta tossed the skewered meat into the tray, the metal clattering loudly.

“And this meat, why does it have to be cut so thick?”

Ron squinted his eyes and teased casually.

“This is called sealing in the juices.

Besides, with those thin arms and legs of yours, massaging my back is just scratching an itch at best.

Eat more meat to grow taller, or you won’t even be able to hold your guitar later.”

These teasing remarks made Uta blush, and she lowered her head to continue battling with the green peppers and onions.

Just over a dozen meters away from this peaceful area, on a large blue stone at the cliff’s edge, the atmosphere was completely different.

Luffy held binoculars with both hands, his neck stretched out long, most of his body hanging over the cliff.

Ace paced back and forth anxiously nearby, snapping quite a few dry twigs on the ground.

“Big Brother!” Luffy scrambled toward Ron, accidentally diving headfirst into a pile of grass.

“That big fat guy wearing a fishbowl is getting ready to fire!

That iron pipe is so thick, and it’s aimed right at Sabo!”

Luffy was incoherent with anxiety, his hands frantically gesturing the thickness of the cannon barrel.

Ace had already snatched the binoculars.

Through the scratched lenses, the scene on the distant sea was forced into view.

The cannon turret slowly lowered its angle.

A sense of despair completely enveloped the two boys.

Ron maintained his comfortable posture.

He narrowed his eyes slightly.

The bloodshot veins in the corners of Ace’s eyes were clearly visible.

Under normal circumstances, Ron would definitely be too lazy to care about this mess.

Life and death happened every day in this world.

He was not some savior out to deliver all living beings.

Moreover, according to his knowledge of the plot, Sabo would not die.

Those people wearing green cloaks, spouting slogans about overthrowing the old system—the Revolutionary Army—were definitely lurking beneath the surface of these waters right now.

Someone as calculating as Dragon was best at jumping out to play the savior the moment civilians fell into despair.

Even if Sabo took this cannon shot, at most he would end up with amnesia, and would be fished out to start his path to becoming the second-in-command of the Revolutionary Army.

The script of fate had long been written.

Interfering with this kind of causality offered Ron zero benefits.

Time ticked away.

On the sea below, a flash of fire appeared.

The cannonball was launched.

Ace’s knees went weak, and he collapsed to the ground, squeezing his eyes shut.

“Sabo—”

Luffy opened his mouth, his throat too hoarse to make a sound.

“Sigh, how annoying.” Ron let out a long sigh and sat up straight.

These brats came by every day to sponge off him, which was annoying, but they shouted “Big Brother” exceptionally loudly every day.

If his own sworn little brother was being bombarded by some idiot from the World Government, and he, the Big Brother, was just eating Wagyu beef on the mountain watching the show, how would he be able to mooch off both sides of the law in Foosha Village if that got out?

Furthermore, he could not compliment the efficiency of Dragon’s crew.

If this little rascal’s face got completely disfigured, it would be less impressive if he wanted to give him a cool title later.

“Lemonade.”

Makino did not understand why Ron was not anxious, but she obediently handed it over.

After downing a mouthful of ice water, he walked to the cliff’s edge.

He looked down, picked and chose, then bent over to pick up a pebble the thickness of a thumb.

It would have to do.

“Stop wailing there, save your energy to finish chopping the firewood when you get back.” Ron’s voice was not loud, but it had immense penetrating power, cutting through the surrounding wind.

Ace suddenly opened his eyes, staring blankly at Ron’s back.

Big Brother was going to make a move?

Sabo must be saved.

Ron stepped back with his right foot, finding his center of gravity.

His spine tightened.

The power within his body was no longer dormant.

He unleashed his Armament Haki to its full extent, channeling all the energy flow into the two fingers of his right hand.

In the blink of an eye, the rough pebble underwent a transformation.

The Ryou technique, under extreme compression, caused the surface of the stone to take on a cold, hard metallic luster.

This method of internal reinforcement ensured that this inferior pebble would not disintegrate during the upcoming high-speed friction.

“Damn it…

Go!”

As the words fell, Ron flicked his wrist and threw it with force.

The speed sliced through the air.

Even Ace, who had been staring intently at Ron’s movements, could only see a thin black line drawn across the air.

The stone broke the sound barrier and shot toward the near sea.

Ron did not use a straight trajectory.

Instead, he used an extremely brutal technique: skipping stones.

Under the support of this terrifying kinetic energy, the pebble struck the water surface at an acute angle of fifteen degrees.

The moment of impact, the stone was not swallowed by the sea.

Instead, it used its rotation speed and surface tension to forcibly bounce back up.

The waves were brutally pushed aside, and at the point of contact, an inverted water column over ten meters high erupted upwards.

One bounce.

Two.

Three.

It carried a violence capable of tearing everything apart.

At this moment, beneath the shadow of the warship, Sabo leaned against the water that was ankle-deep, the keel of the broken ship groaning.

He looked up in despair, his vision entirely occupied by the solid iron ball filled with oppressive force.

He could not escape.

There was not even a gap to dodge.

Just in the microsecond between life and death, in the air only ten meters away from the fishing boat, the black pebble skipping on the sea surface completed its final bounce.

The aim was without a deviation.

The stone, tempered by Armament Haki, dragged a trail of lingering sonic boom white smoke.

With irresistible piercing power, it slammed straight into the primer of the cannonball.

“BOOM!!”
