“A troublesome guy has shown up.” Yuri gave a bitter smile.
“A troublesome guy?” This was the first time Robin had ever seen such a grave look in Yuri’s eyes.
Ever since she met him, Yuri had always remained calm and composed.
Even when surrounded by large numbers of Marines, she had never seen him show the slightest concern.
Yet now, his expression had become solemn.
Clearly, the person approaching was no ordinary opponent.
“Marine Vice Admiral Akainu, Sakazuki.
A Logia-type Magma-Magma Fruit user,” Yuri said.
“It’s him!” Robin cried out, her face turning deathly pale.
The first time she had heard the name Sakazuki was from Kuzan.
Robin had once seen Sakazuki from a great distance, but he had been too far away for her to make out his appearance clearly.
She had also learned from Kuzan that Sakazuki was the one who had ordered the evacuation ship to be sunk, and that he was a Marine possessing terrifying strength on the same level as Kuzan.
She never expected that the person pursuing them this time would actually be him.
Robin knew just how terrifying Kuzan was.
Even the powerful giant Saul had been defeated by him with ease.
And now, a Marine just as strong as Kuzan had appeared, one who was also a Logia user with the power of magma.
Just thinking about how terrifying an ability like magma could be was enough to make her shudder.
“It’s not that I’m afraid of him.
It’s just that his ability is extremely troublesome for me since I haven’t mastered Armament Haki yet.
A Logia user’s elementalization allows them to transform their body into their element and ignore physical attacks.
If my attacks can’t even hit him, then I have absolutely no chance of winning,” Yuri said.
“He can ignore physical attacks and turn his body into an element?
Doesn’t that make him invincible?” Robin said in shock.
No wonder Yuri, who possessed the Railgun, was treating this situation so seriously.
If the enemy could transform his body into an element and completely ignore attacks, then how were they supposed to fight him?
While Robin was still reeling from the revelation, the Marine warship drew closer and closer.
They didn’t bombard Yuri’s ship with cannon fire.
They already knew about Yuri’s ability and understood that cannon fire would be useless against him.
“Gadile Yuri.
You’ve harbored an important criminal wanted by the Marines, killed Marine officers, and defeated a Marine Rear Admiral.
You’ve certainly been arrogant enough.
But today, your journey ends here,” Akainu said coldly.
Yuri answered him with a Railgun.
An orange-red flash streaked through the air.
Akainu’s body was instantly pierced through, and the beam continued onward, blasting straight through the cabin of the Marine warship behind him.
The friction generated by its incredible speed ignited the cabin.
“Where my journey ends isn’t for you to decide, Akainu,” Yuri said.
The Marines aboard the warship stared in horror.
Even several Rear Admirals serving under Akainu wore grave expressions.
The Railgun was simply too fast.
Even someone who had mastered Observation Haki might not necessarily be able to dodge it.
After all, just because the mind could perceive an attack didn’t mean the body could move fast enough to avoid it.
That terrifying speed gave such a tiny coin horrifying destructive power.
Even they wouldn’t be able to take an attack like that head-on and come away completely unharmed.
No wonder Lacroix had lost to him.
“So this is the technique that defeated Lacroix?
It really is fast.
A tiny coin fired at three times the speed of sound can actually produce this much power.
It reminds me of something someone once said.
Speed is power,” Akainu said calmly.
As he spoke, the hole that had been blasted through his body had already returned to normal.
Even more astonishingly, his clothes had recovered as well, without the slightest trace of having been pierced.
If not for the burning cabin behind Akainu, everyone might have wondered whether the attack they had just witnessed had been nothing more than an illusion.
“He reformed!
Physical attacks really don’t work on him!” Robin exclaimed.
“Even so, your fate today remains unchanged.
You will die here,” Akainu said coldly.
He clenched his fist.
Akainu’s fist transformed into magma, and the surrounding temperature instantly soared.
“Then let’s see whether you kill me, or I break that fate,” Yuri said.
“Great Eruption!”
“Iron Sand Fist!”
Akainu and Yuri shouted at the same time.
A gigantic magma fist collided head-on with an enormous fist of iron sand vibrating and grinding at extreme speed.
When Yuri first began developing his magnetic Devil Fruit, he had already realized that iron sand was the weapon best suited to him.
That was why he had spent years collecting vast quantities of it, controlling and using it through the power of his magnetic Devil Fruit.
Over the course of five years of constant use, the iron sand had been continuously influenced by Yuri’s Devil Fruit power.
Gradually, the particles themselves developed magnetism and transformed into magnetic iron sand.
This altered iron sand responded even more strongly to Yuri’s control, allowing him to bring out even more of his ability’s power.
The Iron Sand Fist collided with Akainu’s gigantic magma fist.
To everyone’s surprise, the two attacks were evenly matched.
Akainu was surprised.
The Marine officers were stunned.
Even Robin’s mouth fell open in shock.
Yuri had actually blocked an attack from a Logia Vice Admiral on the same level as Kuzan.
It seemed all those things Yuri usually said really weren’t just empty boasting.
