“There is no ship in the New World that can carry me anymore!”

“I don’t belong to the pirates, and I won’t join the Marine.

I’m helpless too!”

“Die!

Nine Mountains and Eight Seas, there is nothing I cannot cut…

Three Thousand Worlds!”

The young girl Vivi was sleeping.

Her long, aqua-blue hair looked messy, and her light green coat was tossed aside like a rag.

She murmured words that no outsider could understand, and her hands gripped her pillow, swinging it through the air.

She was clearly half-asleep and confused.

“Quack?

Quack quack!

Quack…

Quack?!…” Sitting to the side, her pet Duck Karu sighed in a quite human-like manner.

What should he do now?

He picked up a frying pan, looked at the bottom of the pan, then at Vivi’s smooth forehead, gesturing back and forth in the air a few times before finally giving up on this weapon of mass destruction.

To wake his master, he waddled with his Duck steps to the kitchen and brought back a green onion, then used the leaves to lightly tap Vivi’s face.

“Stop it, stop it…” Vivi rolled over, turning her face inward and facing her pet with the back of her head.

The green onion failed to wake her, so the pet Duck Karu had to follow her to the other side.

“Quack-la-quack, quack quack quack, quack—” As if singing, he called out while pushing his master with his wings.

One push, no movement.

Two pushes, still no reaction.

Soon, the Duck grew to like this game called “Wake Up the Master” and never grew tired of it.

He threw a paper ball from a distance, then hid behind the cabinet with lightning speed.

After a few seconds, he poked his neck out to observe Vivi’s reaction.

After some deep thought, he took out his treasured dried small fish and waved it near Vivi’s nose.

The result was being punched in the face with a “Pseudo Three Thousand Worlds” by the girl who was “killing in her dreams.”

A quarter of an hour later, Vivi finally woke up.

She wiped her face and then sniffed: “Strange…

why is there a smell of green onions?

Karu, did you eat green onions in the room?”

The pet Duck Karu had already hidden the green onion, and the scene had been somewhat camouflaged; the frying pan, paper ball, and dried fish were all gone.

Facing Vivi’s inquiry, he looked around, his large eyes full of curiosity, as if asking, “Where’s the onion?

I didn’t see any, quack!”

Vivi looked at his face as if discovering a new continent: “Karu, why is your face swollen?

Who hit you?

Tell me, I’ll get revenge for you!”

The Duck rolled his eyes at her.

‘Who hit me?

Don’t you have any idea?’

Seeing that Vivi completely failed to understand the situation, he lay on the ground in a comical pose, then imitated someone by closing his eyes and waving a pillow repeatedly.

After a two-second daze, Vivi seemed to realize what had happened.

Her gaze drifted, and she laughed awkwardly: “Ah?

Hahaha…

so that’s it…

You know, I’ve been under a lot of pressure lately.

Yeah, high pressure.

It’s understandable to have nightmares, right?”

Since his master was awake, Karu naturally wouldn’t let her go back to sleep.

With a series of rhythmic quacks, Vivi miraculously understood most of it.

The general meaning was telling her not to sleep anymore and to get up and play with him.

“What time is it?” the girl asked, still a bit groggy.

“Quack quack!

Quack!” The pet Duck’s words automatically translated into understandable language in the girl’s mind, and she nodded somewhat blankly.

“It’s already afternoon?

I actually slept for two hours.

They didn’t even come to call me for lunch…

so disloyal!” Vivi stretched.

Karu—the pet Duck with bright yellow feathers, wearing a blue striped cotton hat and goggles, with a small wooden barrel tied to the strap on his chest—sat to Vivi’s front-left, looking at her with a face full of flattery.

“Is the commission time over?

Looks like a good harvest,” she asked.

Thinking about how he had been controlled by a mysterious force and ran around the town for two hours, the pet Duck nodded quickly.

“Great!” Vivi snapped her fingers happily.

Karu looked at his young master with eyes full of positive emotions like loyalty, protection, and hard work.

The girl did not disappoint his expectations and took out a bucket of pre-prepared ice water from under the nearby bookshelf.

“Drink more ice water!” the girl said, using a meme that no one but herself understood.

She then let the pet Duck enjoy the ice water happily to the side while she tapped twice on the air in front of her.

Regarding this cheat that had followed her here, if she had to evaluate it in one word, she could only think of “crude.”

Having been transmigrated for over half a month, she had studied this cheat—which allowed her to put her pet on auto-mode via a panel to pick up attributes—over ten times and used it three times.

There were no instructions or introductions.

She could only keep making various attempts, trying to dig out the cheat’s functions bit by bit.

Considering that the world of the Pirate King was far too dangerous—if Luffy didn’t have his biological father helping him with cheats, he would have ended up “dying before the mission was even started” in Loguetown.

Smiling on the execution platform?

Smiling brightly, smiling purely?

What’s the damn use of that!

People like King Luffy and Liu Zoro didn’t understand the pirate world at all.

Vivi had secretly formulated a plan: she had to play it safe.

She estimated she could finally set out once she reached the level of a swordsman!

“No one understands the pirate world better than me…

we must stay low.

So, Karu, eat more.

It’ll be hard on you in a bit!” Seeing the pet Duck finish the ice water, Vivi brought out a plate of colorful, cute-looking jellies as if by magic.

The pet Duck picked up a star-patterned jelly, ate it happily, and then patted his stomach with satisfaction.

The Duck kept nodding and thumped his chest hard, indicating he was a real man and she could leave everything to him.

“Great!

You’re the one I can count on!

Come, let me pet your head.”

“Quack quack!

Quack—”

“Karu, you’re the best Duck!

Come, let me lift you up!” Vivi, feeling a lot of pressure herself, quite enjoyed playing with her pet.

Although Karu felt his master had changed quite a bit over the past half month, he welcomed this change.

A master who could play with him was a good master.

After playing for a while, Vivi let Karu go play on his own.

It was time for her to get down to business.

This time, the pet Duck had been on auto-mode by the panel for two hours, yielding a significant harvest.

She tapped with her finger and counted; she had picked up a total of 13 light orbs.

Looking at them one by one, the orbs contained:

Swordsmanship +1

Swordsmanship +1

Firearms +1

Medicine +1

Slashing +1

Cooking +1

Ship Repair +1

Ship Repair +1

Swordsmanship +1′

Swordsmanship +1′

Cooking +1

Navigation +1

Swordsmanship +1

While 13 light orbs seemed like a lot, the actual effect on increasing her combat power wasn’t obvious.

The improvement of any skill required accumulation over a long period of time.

Out of the 13 light orbs, 7 were related to combat.

The quantity wasn’t huge, but Vivi was quite satisfied with these attributes picked up for free.
