Lucas lightly wiped the sweat from his forehead and said with a smile, “This really is a wonderful place.

Let’s treat it like a vacation.

We’ll spend a month here first, then head to the White-White Sea.”Full novel: One Piece: The World’s No. 1 Swordsman — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

That was what he said, but in truth, Lucas’s real purpose was to train his body.

Although Lucas was a swordsman and possessed considerable physical strength, if he relied solely on his physical abilities, he would not even be a match for a Marine officer of the rank of Commodore or above.

Moreover, the powerful techniques Lucas had created all consumed enormous amounts of stamina, making them impossible to use repeatedly.

Nami and Robin had no objections to Lucas’s suggestion.

With scenery this beautiful, taking some time off for a vacation was certainly a pleasant way to spend their days.

…

A month later, aboard the Holy Sword, Lucas stood at the bow, swinging the Kitetsu in his hand.

It was merely a gentle downward swing, yet whenever the blade descended, it caused the White Sea below to tremble, carving a crack more than a hundred meters long across its surface.

Looking at the fissure, Lucas exhaled before returning his sword to its sheath and letting out a faint sigh.

After all, this was the White Sea.

If he were down on solid ground in the true Blue Sea, he would probably have to put all his strength into a single slash just to carve a trench more than a hundred meters long.

And yet, in the original story, the world’s greatest swordsman, Mihawk, could casually swing his sword and unleash enormous slashes hundreds of meters long.

There was still a tremendous gap between the two of them in terms of strength.

Still, he should be able to catch up soon.

Confidence filled Lucas’s eyes.

He then called out to Nami and Robin, who were lazily sunbathing.

“It’s about time.

Set sail!

Our destination is the White-White Sea!”

Robin put down the newspaper in her hands and stood up with a chuckle.

“Are you finally going to keep your promise?

I’m actually quite eager to see the Poneglyph on the Sky Island.”

Nami jumped to her feet as well.

After a whole month, she had already grown tired of everything the White Sea had to offer.

Having heard Lucas describe the scenery of the White-White Sea, she was naturally eager to see it for herself.

Especially those strange vehicles that could move without sails—the Waver.

The Waver was particularly appealing to Nami.

…

The ship sailed across the White Sea, gradually approaching a cloud waterfall in the distance.

“The Heavenly Gate.

Hehehe, could it be that paradise lies beyond it?”

Robin looked at the enormous gate gradually coming into view and chuckled.

Although Lucas had already given them a rough explanation of what lay ahead, satisfying much of their curiosity, neither of them would be content without seeing it with their own eyes.

At that moment, Lucas, standing at the bow, turned around and smiled at Nami and Robin.

“People in Sky Island have a deep reverence for their God.

It’ll be easier for us to act if we have some kind of status.”

“Hm?” Nami tilted her head in confusion.

“What kind of status?”

Lucas reached out and lightly flicked her forehead.

She immediately began flailing her arms indignantly, making Robin laugh.

“Since there’s someone here named Enel who calls himself the God of Thunder, I’ll call myself the Sword God.

Having the status of a god should make things much easier.”

The moment he said this, Nami was covered in speechless black lines, while Robin continued chuckling as if nothing had happened.

Lucas gritted his teeth at the sight.

He almost wanted to grab Robin right then and give her a spanking!

As they spoke, the Holy Sword had already arrived beneath the Heavenly Gate.

An old woman slowly emerged, holding a camera in her hands and frantically snapping pictures of them.

“I am Amazon, the surveillance officer of the Heavenly Gate.

Are you here as tourists, or are you here to start a war?”

The old woman named Amazon had a rather sinister expression, which immediately put Lucas in a bad mood.

“To enter Heaven, you are required to pay ten billion Extols.

Of course, there’s no problem if you choose not to pay.”

Lucas stared coldly at her and snorted.

“How dare you charge a god?

I shall bestow divine punishment upon you!”

Upon hearing Lucas’s words, Amazon’s eyes instantly widened, her wrinkles bunching together.

She was just about to scold him when Lucas suddenly gripped the sword at his waist with both hands and drew it with tremendous force.

A gigantic sword arc tore across the sky.

Lucas’s expression remained unchanged as he slowly returned the sword to its sheath.

Staring at the scene, Amazon shouted, “Blue Sea person!

How dare you call yourself a god!

Showing disrespect to God will bring divine—what?!”

Her words abruptly stopped.

Her face was filled with utter horror.

The entire upper section of the Heavenly Gate had actually collapsed!

The cut was incredibly smooth, as though the structure had been severed by an impossibly sharp blade.

“How is this possible?

How could a sword cut through the Heavenly Gate?!”

Looking at the fallen gate, Amazon stared at Lucas as if she had seen a ghost.

Her wrinkled face was filled with terror.

Nami and Robin, however, were not surprised in the slightest.

They had witnessed Lucas’s tremendous destructive power countless times already.

“Are you still going to make this god wait before sending me to Sky Island?

I am the Sword God!

I’m going to meet that so-called God of Thunder!”

Seeing Amazon standing there in a daze, Lucas snorted, snapping her back to her senses.

Amazon hurriedly lowered her head.

She did not dare look at Lucas again and immediately summoned an Express Lobster, which carried Lucas’s ship rapidly upward along the Ascending Stream.

Only after Lucas and the others had disappeared into the distance did Amazon finally breathe a sigh of relief.

She hurriedly reported everything that had just happened to God and the priests.

Someone had destroyed the Heavenly Gate.

This was the first time it had ever happened.

It would probably be classified as a major offense.

But that terrifying power…

One sword had destroyed the Heavenly Gate.

And that Blue Sea person had called himself… the Sword God?!

She did not dare think about it any further.

After finishing her report, she returned to her usual dazed expression and stared helplessly at the collapsed Heavenly Gate.

…

“Oh?

He actually destroyed the Heavenly Gate?”

At that moment, in the sacred land of Upper Yard, Enel remained completely calm upon hearing the report.

“For such an offense, simply subject him to God’s Trial.”

To Enel, reaching the Fairy Vearth was the only thing that truly mattered.

Everything else was insignificant.

If someone caused trouble, they could simply be executed.

The four priests received the order, each of them revealing a sinister grin.

It had been a long time since any Blue Sea people had come up here.

Their Trials were practically starving for prey.

…

The Express Lobster was incredibly fast.

In less than ten minutes, the Holy Sword had traveled from the White Sea, seven thousand meters above sea level, to the White-White Sea at an altitude of ten thousand meters.

The scenery here was completely different from that of the White Sea.

The White Sea was an immense stretch of ocean with barely a trace of civilization, whereas the White-White Sea contained numerous islands.

These islands floated upon the Sea Clouds, forming islands made of clouds.

As they approached Angel Island, they could immediately see countless houses made of white clouds, along with streets constructed from the same material.

Even some of the peculiar fruits and flowers here were things that could neither be found nor imagined in the Blue Sea below.

“So this is the White-White Sea?” Robin gently brushed her hair back and smiled as she looked at the surrounding scenery.

“It really is a place steeped in history.

It seems there really could be a Poneglyph here, just as you said.”

The moment Lucas heard this, his eyes widened.

With a flash, he appeared in front of Robin and gave her a hard smack on the butt.

“You little rascal!

So you never believed me in the first place!”

“I am an all-knowing god!

If you dare show disrespect to a god, you should be prepared to accept the punishment!”

“Hehehe.”

Robin’s face reddened, but she was neither angry nor embarrassed.

Instead, she smiled sweetly, grabbed Lucas’s mischievous hand, and then lightly leaped away.

Seeing this, Lucas shouted, “Don’t run!

This god still has to punish you!”

At this moment, Lucas looked nothing like a divine being.

He was completely like a shameless street thug.

With that, he immediately jumped down after her.

Nami watched the scene with a smile before jumping off the ship as well.

After spending so much time together, she and Robin had already become close friends.

Although there was still a trace of bitterness in her heart, Nami knew just how dazzling and outstanding Lucas had become.

A man like him…

She knew it would be difficult to keep his heart entirely to herself.

All she hoped for was that Lucas would have a place for her in his heart.

That alone was enough to satisfy her.
