Bang!
Just as the six of them were eating hot pot, drinking, and chatting, the door was suddenly kicked open.
“Every time I come to Marineford, I book this room.
I want to see who dares to occupy my room!” A guy wearing a mask on his face and sporting purple hair barged in.
The sudden appearance startled everyone, and they all turned to look.
“Who are you?” Smoker stood up and demanded.
Lucas immediately recognized this person.
He was a CP9 official; he had forgotten the name, but he was a pervert with very weak strength who loved to torture people.
He had once tortured Robin and treated her like a dog.
“I am Spandam, the CP5 chief.
Now, you low-level soldiers, get out of my room immediately!” Spandam said arrogantly.
At this stage, Spandam had not yet taken charge of CP9 and was still in CP5.
Seeing that Smoker, Lucas, and the others were only wearing Marine soldier uniforms, he didn’t take them seriously at all.
“We booked this room first.
I don’t know anything about CP, please get out!” Shuzo said, clenching his fists and suppressing his anger.
Today was a gathering he had initiated, and having this happen made him feel very embarrassed.
“How dare you speak to me like that!” Spandam drew his Elephant Sword and slashed at the table, breaking it.
“If it weren’t for the fact that we are in Marineford, you would all be dead…”
Before Spandam could finish his sentence, a figure suddenly appeared in front of him and punched him in the stomach.
Bang!
This punch was heavy; it knocked the saliva right out of Spandam and knocked his unfinished words back into his throat.
The one who struck was none other than Lucas.
After throwing the punch, Lucas kicked Spandam sideways.
Boom!
This kick sent Spandam crashing through the room partition and flying into another private room.
Lucas’s sudden move shocked everyone.
Seeing Lucas walking slowly toward Spandam with an indifferent expression, Hina hurriedly warned, “Lucas, don’t be impulsive!”
Lucas smiled slightly, stepped on Spandam’s face, picked up his Elephant Sword, and said, “Actually, you should be the one feeling lucky that this is Marineford, otherwise I would kill you.”
After saying this, he took the Elephant Sword, turned to Smoker and the others, and said, “Everyone, let’s go.
We’ve eaten enough; it’s just that a fly came by, and it’s a bit disgusting.”
As Lucas said this, he ground his foot into Spandam’s head.
If it were anywhere else, Lucas would definitely have killed Spandam.
“Stop, you can’t leave!” Spandam’s subordinates, seeing Lucas and the others wanting to leave, reacted and tried to block them.
Lucas didn’t answer; he just rushed over and knocked one down with a punch.
Smoker, with two cigars in his mouth, followed closely behind and threw two White Blows.
Shuzo also used Soru to close the distance and knocked one flying with a shoulder check.
After dealing with these useless subordinates of Spandam, Lucas walked out.
“Bastard, give me back my sword!” Spandam roared with all his might.
“You interrupted the meal of a future Admiral, so this sword will serve as an apology,” Lucas said without looking back.
Lucas had forgotten the name of Spandam’s sword, but he remembered that it had eaten the Elephant-Elephant Fruit and could turn into an elephant, and the blade could turn into a half-elephant mode.
In short, it was a waste in Spandam’s hands.
The conflict at the restaurant quickly spread throughout Marineford.
The Marines had never liked the CP organizations; compared to the Marines, the CP organizations were the true lackeys of the World Government.
But Lucas taking action was certainly not right either!
“Hahaha, Sengoku, did that kid really say that?”
In the Marine Headquarters Fleet Admiral’s office, Garp held a bag of donuts and laughed.
“Indeed!” Sengoku rubbed his temples with a headache; he was just thinking about how to explain it to his superiors!
“Well done, I like it.
Future Admiral, this kid has big ambitions.
Crunch, crunch, crunch!” Garp said while eating donuts.
“But hitting CP personnel is ultimately wrong, and he also took a sword,” Tsuru said from the side.
“I will explain this to the superiors.
Tsuru, you can issue the appointment documents tomorrow.
Vergo didn’t take action, so appoint him as Commander.
Appoint the others as Lieutenant Commander,” Sengoku said.
Good grief, after one fight, Smoker and Lucas had been demoted by one rank.
“That sword…
just let…” Sengoku hadn’t finished speaking before he was interrupted by Garp.
“Crunch, crunch, crunch, that sword is compensation.
A future Admiral, can he not even have a little bit of face?”
Hearing Garp’s words, Sengoku couldn’t help but slam the table and shout angrily, “Can’t eating even shut your mouth?
Can you stop eating your senbei in front of me in the future?
And why are you going back to the East Blue again?”
“Hahaha, I’m going to see my grandson.
I have a grandson, do you have a grandson?”
With one sentence from Garp, Sengoku was completely defeated!
At this moment, inside the Marine Academy.
“Do you think we’ll be expelled?” Hina asked with some concern.
“Don’t worry, Hina.
CP5 has no jurisdiction over the Marines; at most, we’ll just get some criticism,” Lucas comforted her.
“What are you worried about?
If they expel me because of this, then is this Marine still a Marine of justice?” Smoker said dismissively.
This guy was a troublemaker to begin with, otherwise he wouldn’t have gone years without a promotion.
The next day, Vice Admiral Tsuru and Vice Admiral Garp came together to confer the ranks.
“Hahaha, kids, you did well yesterday; you did the Marines proud!” Garp said as soon as they met.
“Garp, what are you saying!” Vice Admiral Tsuru’s face darkened upon hearing this, and she reprimanded him.
Garp also knew he had spoken out of turn and laughed it off to cover it up.
Afterward, Vice Admiral Tsuru personally conferred the ranks to the six of them—Vergo, Lucas, Smoker, Shu, Shuzo, and Hina—handed them their uniforms, and gave each of them a den den mushi.
“I know you applied to go to the East Blue.
Work hard!” Vice Admiral Tsuru said to Lucas before leaving.
“Yeah!” Lucas nodded.
“Kid, you’re going to the East Blue?
It just so happens I’m going in two days too.
Let’s go together,” Garp invited.
“Sure!” Lucas did not refuse.
The rank conferment was complete, and the six of them were very happy.
Afterward, Shuzo changed into his Lieutenant Commander uniform and went to report to Vice Admiral Momonga that same day.
However, at this moment, Lucas secretly approached Vergo.
“Vergo, tomorrow morning, in the woods behind the mountain, I have something to discuss with you.
Be there or be square!” Lucas said calmly.
As the time for separation approached, the thing Lucas wanted to do had to be done.
In fact, Lucas had been waiting for this day for a long time.
