“Hahaha, let’s go, let’s go!

Set sail!” Garp said to his adjutant with a hearty laugh.

“Vice Admiral Garp, will we be passing by the Sabaody Archipelago?” Lucas asked.Full novel: One Piece: Waking Up in a Broken Era, I Chose My Own Justice — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Do you want to go to the Sabaody Archipelago?

Then we’ll make a stop at the Sabaody Archipelago,” Garp said, putting on an expression as if he were doing it for Lucas.

“Aren’t you planning to buy donuts at the Sabaody Archipelago?” the adjutant beside him couldn’t help but whisper.

Thud!

A Fist of Love taught the adjutant the true meaning of pain.

After taking his leave from Garp, Lucas went to the training area in the cabin, picked up a massive dumbbell, and began his workout.

Regarding Garp as a person, Lucas felt respect, but he couldn’t say he liked him very much.

The main reason was his son.

The Revolutionary Army, founded by Garp’s son Dragon, incited revolutions everywhere, but left the places in shambles afterward.

They only destroyed, they did not build; this approach was clearly incorrect.

In terms of respect, Lucas perhaps respected Zephyr even more!

As for their personalities, Lucas was a complete hawk, while Garp belonged to the dove faction; the two were destined to never see eye to eye.

“Crunch, crunch!” Garp chewed on a donut and asked:

“That kid started training so early.”

“That’s right!” the adjutant said.

“A hardworking kid, this is youth!

For the sake of youth, I’ll eat three more bags of donuts,” Garp said excitedly.

“If you keep eating, you’ll finish all the donuts before we even reach the Sabaody Archipelago,” the adjutant kindly reminded him.

“Then speed it up,” Garp said.

Marineford was very close to the Sabaody Archipelago, and at full speed, they arrived in one hour.

Upon arriving, Lucas got off the ship, went to the base of a Yarukiman Mangrove, and placed his hand upon it.

An extremely comfortable sensation began to spread through Lucas’s body, and he quickly understood the characteristics of the Yarukiman Mangrove.

This was a plant that could grow freely in the sea, and it even grew more vigorously than it did on land.

Having obtained what he wanted, Lucas returned to the ship, and soon Garp’s dog-headed warship set sail again, this time heading straight for the East Blue.

Everyone knew Garp’s ship, so no pirates dared to come and cause trouble along the way, until they reached the East Blue.

“Vice Admiral Garp, we’ve spotted pirates attacking a village ahead.” The lookout discovered the situation immediately.

Pop!

Upon hearing this, Garp, who had been sleeping, had his snot bubble burst.

He straightened his dog-headed hat, stood up, looked at the pirate ship in the distance, went to a cannon, picked up a cannonball, and threw it.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

After three cannonballs, the pirate ship sank…

“Lads, move in closer and apprehend them,” Garp said, standing at the front of the ship.

Looking at the pirates in the distance, Lucas touched Shuro at his waist, a flash of murderous intent in his eyes.

As the ship drew near, Lucas was the first to charge over using Geppo.

“Let today’s slaughter be the beginning of my journey!”

“Marines!

There are Marines!

There are Marines!” The pirate ship having been sunk caused some pirates to notice the Marines, but most of the pirates were still in the village enjoying the pleasure of killing, plundering, and raping.

Watching those pirates who had spotted the Marines and were running into the village, Lucas used Geppo and landed right in the middle of that group of pirates.

Clang!

Shuro flashed with a snow-white blade light.

Two pirates were instantly dismembered.

Shigan: Gatling!

Countless green flashes of light swept by, followed by vibrant, blossoming flowers of blood—bewitching and beautiful.

In the blink of an eye, the dozen or so pirates left on the beach fell.

Then, Lucas charged into the village with his sword drawn.

“Captain, there are Marines, Marines are here.” In the village, a pirate ran up to a one-eyed pirate and said.

“What’s there to fear about Marines?

Didn’t we already clear things with Colonel Nezumi?” the one-eyed pirate said indifferently.

“No, it’s not Colonel Nezumi; our pirate ship has been sunk,” the pirate minion said in a panic.

“What!” The one-eyed pirate was greatly alarmed.

Just as he wanted to go and take a look, he saw Lucas in his Lieutenant Commander’s uniform.

“What are you looking at?

Shoot him!” the one-eyed pirate raged.

Bang, bang, bang, bang!

The sound of muskets rang out.

Clang, clang, clang!

Lucas activated Tekkai, blocking all the bullets.

Tekkai had no problem blocking these bullets, and it was currently noon.

Next, Lucas stomped his foot, and over a dozen green vines with sharp thorns burst out from the ground.

The dozen or so pirates nearby were caught off guard and immediately bound.

The vines started from their feet, quickly climbed to their heads, and then slowly tightened.

The sharp thorns pierced into the pirates’ bodies, causing them to let out miserable screams.

“A Devil Fruit user!” the one-eyed Captain exclaimed in shock.

In the East Blue, being a Devil Fruit user meant being powerful.

“Die!” A pirate wielding a large axe tried to ambush Lucas.

Puchi!

A white blade light flashed, and a large amount of blood gushed from the neck of the pirate holding the axe.

“Your footsteps are so heavy; what kind of ambush is that!”

Lucas said helplessly, then walked toward the one-eyed pirate.

“Looks like you’re the Captain.”

The one-eyed pirate watched Lucas approach, a flash of ferocity in his eyes; after all, he was a pirate who lived by the blade.

He suddenly raised the short gun in his hand and fired at Lucas.

Clang!

Lucas slashed the bullet in two with his sword.

Looking at the pirate Captain again, after firing the gun, he drew the katana at his waist and thrust it toward Lucas.

But Lucas was faster.

He used Soru to arrive at the one-eyed pirate’s left side, then kicked off a nearby building, flying toward the one-eyed pirate.

Swish!

Lucas and the one-eyed pirate passed each other.

Click!

Shuro returned to its sheath.

Thump!

The one-eyed pirate fell to the ground.

“Only the innocent may rest in peace!

You…

deserve to go to hell.”

Lucas said this, then used Soru and Geppo with full force, charging toward the other pirates in the village.

Accompanied by flashes of the blade, all the pirates soon fell.

When Garp’s adjutant rushed into the village with the Marine soldiers, the battle was already drawing to a close, and all that met their eyes were corpses.

The ones who died the most miserably were those bound by the vines; they had been suspended in mid-air and bled to death.

The entire pirate crew of over a hundred people had all died at the hands of Lucas.

This was just a small pirate crew.

When the adjutant reported the situation to Garp, Garp couldn’t help but glance at Lucas.

This kid has such ruthless methods; he’s on par with Akainu Sakazuki.

…

One day later, Garp dropped Lucas off at the G-5 branch, then headed toward Windmill Village.

At the G-5 Marine branch, Lucas met Base Commander Kadaru.

“Lieutenant Commander Lucas, reporting to Base Commander Kadaru!”
