Early the next morning, Kazi walked out of the inn, feeling refreshed, to buy some breakfast.
Makino still hadn’t gotten up; even though she was used to waking up early, she still hadn’t woken up.
It was enough to show just how exhausted she was yesterday.
Kazi simply bought a few bowls of porridge, dozens of steamed buns, ten bowls of noodles, and some side dishes, then returned to the room to wait for Makino to wake up.
The sound of Kazi returning still woke Makino up.
“Awake?”
“Get up and eat something first.
You must be exhausted.”
Kazi placed the food directly on the table beside the bed, and Makino felt warm inside.
Although this damn bastard had worn her out yesterday, tossing her around quite a bit.
But judging from his behavior this morning, he could be considered a man who knew how to be considerate to women.
“Kazi, I don’t need this much.
A bowl of porridge and two meat buns are enough for me.”
“Give me a portion of those side dishes as well.”
Both of them were a bit hungry, and in a few quick bites, they finished their breakfast.
After eating and drinking their fill, they left the inn, even though Kazi wanted Makino to rest a bit more, she didn’t agree.
She said that resting here wasn’t as comfortable as being on the ship.
Kalmande was called back by a single phone call from Kazi.
Looking at his smug attitude, it was clear he had a good time yesterday.
“Alright, the new adventure is about to begin.”
“Raise the sails, set sail!”
Kazi shouted, and the Goldenhair Pirates set sail once again.
Although Kalmande wasn’t very professional, he was much better than Kazi, and he had always been the one executing the task of steering the ship.
This made Kalmande complain several times, telling Kazi to hurry up and recruit someone specifically for steering the ship.
“Fire!”
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Just as Kazi and his crew set sail, two warships appeared in their field of vision in the distance.
Cannons fired towards Kazi and the others as if the ammo were free, but not a single shot hit.
Kazi was speechless at the accuracy of these Marines.
“It seems the news of Colonel Nezumi’s death has reached Marineford.
Judging by the speed, these must be warships from nearby branches that rushed over.”
Makino also came to the deck, and her analysis made a lot of sense.
“Hahaha, then let’s treat them as the first shot for the Goldenhair Pirates to make a name for ourselves.”
“Hehehe, that’s quite interesting.
I’ll leave it to you, Captain!”
Kazi’s words received high approval from Kalmande.
The only pity was that he didn’t have any long-range attack methods.
If they were very close, he could go up and show his stuff, but at this distance, it was better to leave it to Kazi.
“Leave it to me.
Let me show you the might of your Captain.”
Kazi drew Muramasa, coated it with Armament Haki, and directly unleashed two Flying Slash attacks.
To deal with the Marines from the East Blue branch, these two slashes were enough to end the battle.
Sure enough, the slashes were extremely fast and reached the warships in an instant.
“What, what is this!”
“To think he could unleash such a terrifying strike.”
“What kind of monster is the opponent?”
“Quick, steer the ship to dodge.”
“Damn it, we can’t dodge at all.”
Swoosh.
Swoosh.
The Flying Slash cut through them like tofu, and the two warships, which weren’t very large, were sliced in two.
The number of Marine casualties wasn’t high, but everyone fell into the sea like drowned rats.
“Bye-bye, Marines.”
Kazi waved his hand and stylishly sailed away from the crime scene.
“Damn it, to think such a powerful figure appeared in the East Blue.
We must report this to Marineford.”
The leading Marine shouted quickly, directing the soldiers to find floating wooden debris, and they all swam towards the nearby Konomi Islands.
Smack.
“To think such a powerful guy appeared in the East Blue.”
Sengoku threw the documents heavily on the table, a grave expression on his face.
The Marines who swam to the Konomi Islands reported Kazi’s situation directly to Marineford.
With such a monster appearing suddenly, Sengoku immediately ordered the intelligence department to bring all documents related to Kazi.
However, the documents finally delivered to Sengoku were pitifully sparse, containing only information about the Goa Kingdom and Konomi Islands, with nothing else known.
“To think he could fight Red Hair to this extent.
He is truly a dangerous figure.
Is the sea going to be restless again?”
Shanks is no longer the brat on Roger’s ship.
Having ventured out into the sea alone, he has already made a name for himself, especially after defecting from Mary Geoise; his strength cannot be underestimated.
“Pass down the order to increase intelligence gathering on Hel Kazi and his crew, and prepare sufficiently for their future annihilation.”
“Let’s set a bounty of 200 million Berries for Hel Kazi for now.”
Starting at 200 million Berries from the start was already holding Kazi in high regard.
For others, their first bounty is usually hundreds of thousands, millions, or tens of millions of Berries; those who can reach 100 million Berries are rare.
If it weren’t for the fight with Shanks, Sengoku wouldn’t be so vigilant about Kazi.
But Sengoku knew clearly that this bounty amount didn’t match Kazi’s strength, but setting it too high would be bad for the balance of the sea.
The sea breeze blew on Kazi’s face as he lay on the deck, enjoying a rare sunbath.
Wearing sunglasses, with fruit juice to drink by his side, beside him were Kalmande, who was training hard, and Makino, who was doing simple training.
“Tch, that guy Kazi is really comfortable.”
Kalmande was the type who feared his brother would suffer, yet also feared his brother would succeed.
If Kazi kept training, he felt he couldn’t keep up with Kazi’s pace; if Kazi didn’t train, he felt Kazi was too slack.
After all, people making a living on the sea are constantly facing challenges, and they might encounter a strong enemy any day.
“It can’t be helped, Kalmande.
Kazi is already so powerful; it’s normal for him to rest.”
Makino had just run dozens of laps around the deck, sweat streaming down her face, but a smile on her lips.
“You’re acting very strange, Makino.”
“Why have you been speaking up for that guy Kazi lately?”
Kalmande felt like an outsider; this feeling was very unpleasant.
Upon hearing this, Makino didn’t speak, just smiled, and continued with the next training project.
Kazi had formulated a training plan for himself: he could only train five days a week and must leave two days for rest.
His training was mostly about researching the development direction of his Devil Fruit; other aspects didn’t improve him much, and his own training conflicted with the rewards obtained from the system’s AFK farming, so the two couldn’t be achieved simultaneously.
Relaxing his mind and body, and balancing work and rest was also very important; Kazi easily convinced himself.
While taking it easy, he could also think about how to perfectly combine his many abilities into combos; sharpening the axe never delays the chopping of wood.
Just like now, Kazi was thinking about whether he could leave a spatial mark in the void.
This way, if he encountered someone he couldn’t beat, and they were a Devil Fruit user, he could unexpectedly teleport over during the battle.
Even someone as strong as the Four Emperors’ Big Mom would have no way out if she sank to the bottom of the sea, and others would have no ability to resist.
But the wish was beautiful while reality was harsh; Kazi tried for a long time but couldn’t leave a spatial mark in the air, so he had to regretfully put this matter aside for now.
“I’ll take a nap first.”
The sunshine was so good; it was the perfect time for a nap.
Maybe it’s not a big deal now… maybe it will be later.
“And If you’re enjoying it, drop a Power Stone for me!”
