Three days after the completion of Cake Island's castle, Linlin announced the wedding.
There was no grand ceremony — Totto Land had only just been founded, and they couldn't afford extravagance.
Still, every resident on the island was gathered in the square before the castle. Longbread used their stored ingredients to make a modest three-tier cake. It was simple, but to these refugees of various races who had spent years starving, it felt like an unimaginable feast.
"Mamama! Today is the day Kaizer and I get married!"
Linlin stood on a hastily built platform, wearing a makeshift "wedding dress" made from ship sails — basically a large white cloth sewn with jewels scavenged from their loot. She was too tall for any normal clothes, so they had to improvise.
Kaizer stood beside her in a matching makeshift "suit."
He looked up at Linlin, then down at the crowd — giants, long-armed tribes, fish-men, and humans. All of them gazed upward with a mix of awe, fear, and confusion.
These people had been "collected" by Linlin. Some came from villages destroyed by pirates, others from war-torn countries, and some had been taken directly from their homelands.
The reason they stayed in Totto Land was simple: the outside sea was too dangerous.
In Sea Calendar 1480, Roger had opened the Great Pirate Era, but the legend of the One Piece had not yet fully ignited. What raged now was the power vacuum left after the Rocks Pirates' destruction — countless pirates fought over territory, the Marines were stretched thin, and ordinary people lived in constant fear.
In Totto Land, at least they didn't have to worry about waking up with a blade at their throat. As long as they paid their grain tax on time and followed orders, they could survive.
"From today onward!" Linlin continued loudly, "Kaizer is my husband! The King of Totto Land! Mamama! You will listen to him just as you listen to me!"
Sparse applause rose from the crowd — mostly led by the long-armed craftsmen, with others following along.
Kaizer watched the scene with little emotion. He knew this wedding was mostly symbolic — Linlin's way of publicly claiming ownership.
She also needed someone to share the burden of management. Longbread would handle the kitchen, he would handle governance, and Linlin could simply be "Mama," enjoying the affection of her family and all the sweets she wanted.
"Now!" Linlin grabbed Kaizer's hand and raised it high. "Eat cake! Dance! Celebrate until dawn!"
Longbread directed a few fish-men to wheel out the cake. The three-tier cream cake had two small figurines on top — one with pink hair, one with black — holding hands.
Linlin excitedly cut the first slice, stuffing the largest piece into her mouth until cream covered her face. She cut another piece and handed it to Kaizer, eyes sparkling. "Eat!"
Kaizer took it. It was very sweet — almost sickeningly so. But he ate it anyway.
The people below began sharing the cake. At first they were reserved, but sweets have a way of loosening people up.
Gradually, dancing started — the long-armed tribe's traditional dances, exaggerated but rhythmic. Fish-men hummed sea shanties, and giant children ran laughing through the crowd.
Linlin watched it all and grinned widely. She suddenly scooped Kaizer up — like picking up a doll — and turned toward the castle.
"Mamama! The rest of the night belongs to us!"
Down below, Longbread waved his spatula with a knowing smile and continued handing out cake to the children.
On the top floor of the castle, in Linlin's bedroom — or rather, her "room." There was no proper bed, only a massive platform made by pushing together more than a dozen regular beds, piled high with plush toys and soft cushions.
Linlin placed Kaizer on the "bed," then sat cross-legged across from him and began removing the sailcloth wedding dress.
"This rag is so uncomfortable," she complained, tearing it off to reveal the pink dress she usually wore underneath. She wasn't wearing anything beneath it — just bare skin.
Kaizer looked away and started unbuttoning his own formal clothes.
The room grew quiet, filled only with the crackle of candlelight.
Once Linlin finished undressing, she simply sat there, watching him. Her expression was calm — almost… curious.
Kaizer removed his outer jacket, revealing the shirt underneath. He looked up and met her gaze.
They stared at each other for a few seconds.
"What's wrong?" Linlin tilted her head. "Keep going."
Kaizer paused, then slowly continued unbuttoning his shirt. His mind raced.
The size difference was extreme.
Even sitting, Linlin was over five meters tall. Standing, he was barely over two meters.
Normal interaction was difficult enough — hugging was nearly impossible. Linlin could hold his entire body in her arms like a toy.
"What are you thinking about?" Linlin leaned closer, her massive face inches from his. "Worried? Mamama! Don't worry! I'll be gentle!"
She reached out with one enormous hand and wrapped it around his waist — her fingers easily encircled his entire torso.
Kaizer took a deep breath.
[System.]
He called silently.
[Present.] The cold mechanical voice responded.
[Size incompatibility. Any solutions?]

[Analysis complete. Based on core functions of the "Many Children, Many Blessings" System, temporary physiological adjustment is available during breeding to ensure compatibility.]
[Activate "Adaptive Adjustment"?]
Kaizer looked into Linlin's eyes — so close that his small reflection stared back at him. So mismatched.
[Activate.]
[Command confirmed. Beginning physiological adjustment.]
A wave of heat surged through his body.
It wasn't painful — more like rapid growth. Bones extended, muscles expanded, skin stretched. Kaizer could hear faint cracking sounds inside himself, like bamboo shoots breaking through soil.
His vision rose.
From waist height, to chest level, then shoulders, and finally —
He stopped at eye level with Linlin.
Linlin's eyes widened.
"Mamama!!" she exclaimed. "You got bigger!"
Kaizer looked down at himself. He had indeed grown — now nearly ten meters tall, with broad shoulders and long limbs. His fitted shirt had torn into shreds, as had his pants. He stood completely naked before her, roughly the same scale as Linlin.
Not quite as tall — she was nearly nine meters, he was about eight and a half. But at least they were in the same league.
"What… what kind of ability is this?" Linlin reached out and poked his chest — firm muscle, warm skin. "You can change size?!"
[System Notification: Adaptive Adjustment complete. This adjustment will last until breeding concludes. Consumes 15% base stamina per hour. Body will return to original size afterward.]
Kaizer grabbed the finger she had poked him with — his hand could now fully wrap around it.
"It's… one of my abilities," he said vaguely. "It only lasts for a while."
"Mamama! Amazing!" Linlin excitedly gripped his hand in return. "Then next time I want to hug you, you get big! When we're done, you get small again! So convenient!"
She accepted the change completely, just as she had accepted his revival and black ghosts.
Kaizer looked at her smiling face and felt something inside him soften.
He bent down and lifted her up — he could do it now. Linlin let out a surprised yelp, then burst into laughter, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Mamama! This is how it should be!"
Kaizer carried her toward the massive "bed."
Candlelight flickered.
Moonlight poured through the stained glass windows, casting colorful patterns across the floor.
Down in the square, the celebration continued. The faint sounds of long-armed songs, fish-men sea shanties, and laughing giant children drifted upward.
The first night of Totto Land.
And the night that belonged to the two of them had only just begun.

The system notifications echoed in his mind.
But Kaizer no longer had attention to spare.
Linlin's warm, moist breath brushed against his neck. Her fingers trailed down his back, leaving faint red marks — even at this size, her strength was still terrifying.
"Kaizer," she whispered. For once, her voice lacked its usual wild laughter and carried something softer. "We're going to have the best children, right?"
Kaizer looked into her eyes, reflecting the moonlight.
"We will," he said.
Then he kissed her.
