The option of elongating the battle to create enough noise to draw attention had even crossed his mind.

’No matter how much I want to think it to be possible, Bishop isn’t stupid... No one is coming.’

"Swit—"

Thors’ reaction was seamless.

His hand shot forward as his entire environment shifted again.

The street disappeared.

His stomach lurched.

And then he appeared directly in the midst of Bishop’s goons.

But this time...

Everything was different.

Thors’ firm grip locked onto the face of the first goon he caught, his fingers digging into the man’s cheeks with so much force that a loud crack echoed throughout the street.

The goon’s eyes widened.

Thors pulled the boy toward him and drove his forehead violently into his nose.

CRACK!

Blood burst across the man’s face as his upper body recoiled backwards from the impact.

"One down..."

The goon stumbled, dazed, before collapsing onto the pavement.

[You have gained 2 Charisma points]

Thors ducked on instinct.

Just as he expected, another goon attacked.

The bat came swinging toward Thors’ cranium with enough force to split his skull open.

If he hadn’t dodged when he did, that would have been the end of him.

The bat swept over his head.

Thors immediately reached up and grabbed the attacker’s wrist as the weapon passed above him.

His fingers locked around the man’s arm.

Gold lightning surged from his hands.

ZZZTTT!

The current violently coursed through the goon’s body.

A loud shriek escaped the man’s mouth as his entire body shuddered uncontrollably. His muscles seized before his knees buckled, sending him crashing to the ground.

Thors released him and turned around to face the next foe.

And...

Strangely...

He did not turn around.

"What the hell?!"

Thors forced the words through his lips as he tried once again to move his body.

Nothing.

His legs refused to respond.

His arms remained frozen.

Even his fingers wouldn’t obey him.

He swallowed hard, his eyes shifting toward Bishop.

The arrogant young master now had a deep frown etched across his face.

Luckily for Thors, the attacks had paused for the moment.

"Took me how many minutes to neutralize a Defect? How disgraceful." Bishop spat.

That made sense.

Thors’ eyes shifted around the group until his gaze finally fell on a girl.

Her hand was outstretched, her fingers trembling slightly as a malevolent black Mana bubble oozed around her fingertips. Dark energy crawled across the air around Thors’ body, binding his muscles and preventing even the smallest movement.

Without a doubt, she was the one holding him in place.

’Damn... Is this where my improvement ends? I held my own against several Superhumans... Took down two of them.’

Thors knew it was progress, yet...

It didn’t feel like that to him.

Not with what he had seen Valon do.

He watched Valon pull out a dagger from his belt, drop his bat, and begin approaching Thors.

The cruel smile on his face glistened with anticipation.

He had enjoyed the battle long enough...

Now he wanted blood.

And to Thors...

He found it amusing.

A low chuckle first escaped his lips.

Bishop halted.

Thors took another long look into his eyes.

Then he laughed again.

This time, much louder.

"Hahahahaha!"

Bishop’s face deepened into a frown, the muscles in his neck bulging with veins.

"What do you find funny, Rat?"

Thors shook his head and sighed.

"You fucking lose."

Bishop’s expression froze.

For the first time that night, uncertainty flashed across his eyes.

"What...?"

[System Integration]

Thors’ body shimmered with a bright light.

The radiance suddenly erupted from beneath his skin, washing over his entire body and illuminating the surrounding street.

Bishop’s eyes grew wide as realization struck him.

He understood.

Whatever Thors was about to do, it was to escape his blade—a desperate flight of a rabbit from the maws of a pack of wolves.

But at that moment...

It was already too late.

In the next second, Thors’ body disappeared into thin air, leaving the entire street and world behind as he had once again journeyed into another realm.

The system let out a low whirring sound.

A sound Thors had never been happier to hear.

[Welcome to the Second Dungeon]

His eyes focused into the strange unfarmilai environment. A wide area and as for as far as he could see, an array of dilapidated, torn, and abandoned skyscrapers.

It looked as though destroyed thousands of years ago.

The air was scorching and difficult to breathe. The sun orange in the sky shining a very hot radiance onto Thors entire body.

Thors grunted rubbing the back of his head.

"Shit, those bastards forced my hand. I really came unprepared to a dungeon."

Thors thought pacing around the vicinity a few times, he had no supplies, no weapon, not even a clue on how he would survive the very next few days of maybe weeks.

"Just like the saying... Jumping from the frying pan and stupidly into the fire," Thors placed one hand into his pockets and then turned to glance at the buildings one last time.

This time he did not just spot dilapidated constructions, but dozens upon dozens of red dagger like eyes bearing down on him with immeasurable killing intent.

Growls, snares and noises Thors could not even come to phantom or describe filled the air.

It was terrifying... And yet.

Thors couldn’t help but strengthen his resolve.

"Its no longer an option, I do have to get more powerful or die..."

Thors clenched his fist, and then a loud crackle filled the air as Golden lightning towsted and coiled around his being.

"So stop staring, you bastards, and come meet me! Let’s see which kills me first—the horrid dungeon... or my greed for power."
