She leaped down from the slope.

She held the nicked heavy saber high with both hands.

Utilizing the force of the fall, she fiercely thrust it into the softest part of the Spike-armored Spider's abdomen!Full novel: Our Squad Falty Fate — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"Squelch!"

Green blood gushed out, splashing all over Tang Li.

The Spike-armored Spider let out an extremely shrill scream, its six legs struggling frantically.

Tang Li pressed down hard on the hilt, twisting it forcefully.

A few seconds later, the Star Beast's struggles gradually subsided.

Its six legs hung down limply, and it was thoroughly dead.

Tang Li pulled out the saber and slumped heavily into the muddy water covered in green blood, panting heavily.

She didn't even want to move a single finger all over her body.

She won.

On the first day, she almost lost her life here.

Tang Li raised her head and looked behind the large tree.

She had thought that delicate young lady of a wealthy family must be crying in fright by now.

As a result, not only did Jiang Wangzhi not cry, but she was instead staring at the terminal on her wrist, a weird light flashing in her eyes.

Tang Li frowned.

Was this person sick in the head?

Jiang Wangzhi had no time to care about Tang Li right now.

She stared fixedly at the assessment leaderboard on her watch screen.

【Student: Jiang Wangzhi】

【Current Kills: 0】

【Current Assists: 0】

【Current Total Points: 0】

【Real-time Ranking: 2998th】

Zero points!

It really was zero points!

Jiang Wangzhi was so excited she almost jumped up.

The system judged kills solely based on the final blow and effective damage.

She had just been moving her lips earlier and hadn't actually fought at all.

Therefore, the system didn't calculate any points for her!

This method could work!

As long as she didn't touch the monsters, she could steadily get dead last!

Inheriting the family fortune at home was within reach!

Jiang Wangzhi looked at Tang Li, who was sitting in the muddy water, with glowing eyes.

Earlier, she only thought this was a bad-luck charm with a bad temper.

Now, this was simply her golden partner for a perfect graduation!

Able to fight, daring to charge forward, and most importantly, all the points belonged to her!

An exceptional worker!

Jiang Wangzhi walked over quickly.

Without even minding the green blood on the ground, she squatted down in front of Tang Li.

"What is your name?"

Tang Li stared at her vigilantly, gripping the hilt of the saber in her hand tightly.

"What do you want?"

"My name is Jiang Wangzhi."

Jiang Wangzhi revealed a very sincere smile.

"Let's team up temporarily."

Tang Li was stunned.

She looked at Jiang Wangzhi as if looking at a fool.

"Are you sick in the head?"

"If I hadn't pulled you earlier, your head would have been crushed."

"You can't even run, and I'm supposed to team up with you?"

"What am I plotting? Plotting that you're a burden?"

Ordinarily, having been scolded like this, Jiang Wangzhi would have flipped out long ago.

But now, for the sake of her resource planet, Jiang Wangzhi's temper was absurdly good.

"I'm plotting that your points are high."

Jiang Wangzhi pointed at Tang Li's watch.

It displayed 【Current Total Points: 10】.

"You have good physical stamina, strong combat power, and you need points, right?"

Tang Li didn't speak.

She indeed needed them.

She came from an impoverished star and had no background.

If her assessment score was bad this time, her resource allocation for next month would be deducted.

She came to the First Military Academy precisely to get ahead in life.

Jiang Wangzhi continued to guide her patiently:

"My command just now wasn't bad, right?"

Tang Li curled her lips and didn't refute.

Although there was a mishap at first, that tactic of utilizing the terrain for a counter-kill later was indeed very brilliant.

If not for that tactic, she really would have lost her life here today.

"So, you see,"

Jiang Wangzhi spread her hands.

"You know how to fight, and I know how to look."

"All the Star Beasts, the kills belong entirely to you, and the points belong entirely to you."

"I don't want a single point."

"I just want to live until the assessment ends."

"You get an extra free tactical radar, and I can even keep watch for you."

"This deal isn't a loss, right?"

Tang Li stared at her, carefully weighing her options.

This Desolate Star was too dangerous.

On the first day, she encountered an injured and frenzied Spike-armored Spider; there was no telling what else there would be in the remaining seventy-plus hours.

Having someone by her side who could observe the terrain and the weaknesses of Star Beasts could indeed increase her survival rate.

Moreover, not wanting points— this was practically a pie falling from the sky.

"You really don't want a single point?"

Tang Li asked suspiciously.

"I swear to heaven."

Jiang Wangzhi raised three fingers.

"As long as you let me follow you, even if a Star Beast dies, I will never touch such things as delivering a finishing blow."

I am doing this to go home.

You are fighting with your life in the academy.

We both have a bright future.

Tang Li hesitated for a moment.

Ultimately, she nodded.

"Fine."

"But let's be clear, if we really encounter a dead end, I won't care about you."

"Also, my name isn't 'Hey', it's Tang Li."

Jiang Wangzhi agreed without hesitation.

"No problem!"

Reaching a cooperation, a stone in Jiang Wangzhi's heart fell to the ground.

Perfect.

She had a bodyguard, and her points steadily secured last place.

For the next three days, she just needed to hunker down somewhere.

...

The sky gradually grew dark.

The temperature at night on the Desolate Star dropped very quickly.

A layer of white mist permeated the forest.

The two found a huge dead tree.

At the bottom of the tree roots was a natural depression, which could just block the wind.

Tang Li sat on the ground, wiping the bloodstains on the heavy saber with a rag.

Jiang Wangzhi wrapped herself in her tactical suit, leaning against the trunk, preparing to sleep.

Just as she was about to fall asleep, the sound of wiping the saber suddenly stopped.

Tang Li abruptly gripped the saber hilt tightly, her body tensing up.

She lowered her voice:

"Don't move."

Jiang Wangzhi woke up instantly.

All sleepiness vanished.

"What's wrong?" she asked in a breathy whisper.

Tang Li didn't answer, staring fixedly at the mist ahead.

Jiang Wangzhi looked over following her gaze, her heartbeat suddenly skipping a beat.

In the darkness, deep within the mist, one, two, three, four...

over a dozen ghostly green eyes lit up silently.

Dense and numerous, they were slowly surrounding them.

Jiang Wangzhi swallowed a mouthful of saliva.

She stiffly turned her head and looked at Tang Li.

"Um..."

"Is it still too late for me to dissolve the partnership now?"
