Many weapons were aimed at the Game Master. Fingers trembled on the triggers. The majority of them gained courage from watching the police, and a few had loaded guns. The Game Master sneered at the people who didn’t back down, as a few had already walked away in fright.

"I don’t think this is a good choice."

"Yeah, I think that kind of powerful person won’t go down with just a mere gun."

"Let’s run, before things go crazy."

They hesitated to lower their weapons. Some glanced at the police beside them, waiting for someone else to make the first move.

People who were a bit more intelligent or observant quickly moved to the back and watched, taking cover.

The Game Master shook his head as he noticed police, more than fifty of them, and others who had arrived to support. "Should I give you more time?" he asked, as no one had shot him yet. Instead, everyone was waiting for more backup.

"That’s it, you’re going down, alien." The thug pressed the trigger of his machine gun. Bang! Bang! Police and others widened their eyes. "Damn fool, I was waiting for more backup," the old policeman scolded loudly.

"Shoot." He ordered, as he had no choice but to follow. His words and the thug’s actions caused everyone to press the trigger in panic. The street exploded with gunfire. Gunfire drowned out the shouts as projectiles tore through the air. Ordinary people threw random objects in their hands, picking up anything they could and continuing.

Bang! Boom!

Game Master had a faint grin as he glanced at the incoming attack. He raised his palm as it glowed with crimson light.

"Huh?" A young woman at the back uttered, peeking her head from the side of a car. In her vision, not a single attack had connected with the Game Master. Thousands of bullets and countless objects froze right in front of him, just an inch away. Even the shell casings sounded deafening in the sudden silence. An old woman stared at the projectiles hanging motionless in front of his palm, with a wide mouth.

Her eyes widened as she dashed out, running, screaming, "Run! Run!" Her words were enough as everyone at the back noticed the scene and rushed to escape.

"I’ve seen this scene in movies," a young man muttered, pushing his specs up his nose with trembling hands.

"Now, they’ll come back," an old man yelled, running while taking support from his stick.

Game Master folded his hands behind his back as the air in front of him filled with a wall made of bullets and objects—each separated from the next by barely an inch. Bang! Bang!Guns were still fired, machine guns ejecting shells.

"This is bad." The old policeman wiped his sweat as he threw away his gun, which had run out of ammunition.

"From the back." He muttered, breaking into a swift run. His mouth hung open wide—the same wall surrounded the Game Master from all sides.

He yelled, "I spotted the wall moving back." He swallowed. "Good work, guys, keep going. He’ll be taken down." Cheers erupted from behind him.

"Good, that’s what you get." A middle-aged woman smiled as she pulled a hammer from her car and launched it at the Game Master with full force.

"Idiot," the old policeman muttered, walking slowly. Due to their actions, no one noticed him.

Moments later.

"Old man, where are you?" A fat man hissed, having run out of objects. He glanced around, biting his lips. "That old police had fooled us." He screamed and dashed out. "I don’t think we can take down this alien guy or something."

Thud! Thud! He pushed everyone out as he tried to get out.

From the sky, one would find a person standing with a faint smile, in between a circular wall made of random objects. He had his hands folded behind his back. He hadn’t moved an inch. He straightened his collar and said, "I have given you enough time."

His words caused many to drop their weapons. A few even fainted on the spot as the walls surrounding the Game Master began to move back.

"You can have it back." Game Master snapped his fingers. His smile never changed. All the bullets and objects turned around, and Whoosh!rushed at the people below. Only then did they realize every attack they had made was about to turn back on them.

Many froze at the sight of the rushing bullets—the entire sky was filled with them. "Damn it. Run!" Many stumbled backward, their legs shaking as the projectiles rushed toward them.

Thud!Everyone within a certain radius around the Game Master began to fall to the ground, shot by bullets and struck by random objects. Bang! Thud!

Blood splashed like rain; many died on the spot. Vehicles nearby caught the flames and blew up. Boom!

Screams swallowed the sound of the explosions. Smoke drifted through the street. The battlefield fell eerily silent, broken only by dying screams and burning vehicles.

Game Master shook his head, raising his index finger. "Ladies and gentlemen, you should always remember—don’t make foolish actions like this." His words echoed throughout the world, through every screen.

"In this game, you wouldn’t even survive one day if you’re this idiotic." He glanced down at the fallen people and pointed toward those clutching their injuries. "And because of these actions, bystanders were also affected." People screamed, holding their burned parts, "Ahh!" Those who hadn’t attacked suffered anyway.

They had just been watching from behind but hadn’t expected the blasts. Game Master continued with a wide smile. "Don’t observe something you shouldn’t. Luckily, most survived this time with burns."

Many people around the world clenched their fists and bit their teeth. "What a freak!" No one called him an alien anymore.

"I hope this is a dream."

Game Master turned toward the girl at the end of the street. "Now," he flashed and stood right in front of her. Not a gust of wind followed his movement. One moment, he stood at the end of the street. In the next he was standing in front of the girl. "Ahh!" The girl’s mom hugged her tightly instinctively, as many nearby fell in shock. Thud!

"How can someone move at such speeds?" Everyone began to scurry. "The world has come to an end," they finally figured out. Some people dropped to their knees. Others turned and ran without looking back.

Only the girl and her mom stood still as the Game Master smiled at them. He waved his hand as the mom recovered, her dim eyes returned to normal, but she stayed silent, though her body was trembling.

"Now, let’s play the game," he said, straightening his cuffs.

"What game?" the girl asked, raising her head. Her mom wanted to object, but froze when the Game Master’s deep blue eyes glared at her.

"Spin the wheel," he grinned, and snapped his fingers.

Crack! Crack!

The ground in front of them split open as a golden wheel, matching the girl’s size, appeared. The wheel had a pointer and many divisions, but the names were hidden under colors of blue, yellow, and others. Across the world, people leaned closer to their screens.

"Now, everyone, there are many types of apocalypse," The Game Master announced. "Your fate lies in the hands of this girl. I wish her the best, as she is going to pick the type."

Seven people around the world clenched their fists. "This should and must be the same as the past life."

They glared at their screens without blinking. "Please... ice apocalypse."

"I’ll maximize my memories—hope it’s ice,"

"It’s gotta be ice."

"Just get it done quickly."

They muttered, desperation clearly visible in their eyes. Their fingers tightened around their phones as they stared at the wheel.

"Go ahead." Game Master crouched down and patted the girl’s head. "Our future is based on this?" she asked, pointing at the wheel.

"Yes," Game Master nodded. "Your hands decide the future of this world."

The girl clapped her hands. "Gods, please bless me," she prayed, and stepped toward the wheel.

"Not bad!" Game Master’s eyes gleamed for a bit. ’She understands the weight she’s carrying.’

The girl spun the wheel hard. Everyone around the world glared at their screens, swallowing hard. Game Master’s smile widened.
