[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: Hello.
[Singularity Found at the End]: Hello.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: Sick name by the way.
[Singularity Found at the End]: Really? It's a little chuunni for me.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: Loads better than mine already.
[Singularity Found at the End]: Ahaha…I think these are randomly generated. This thing didn't let me input my own username.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: Speaking of important things, is this thing for real? That we're connected to a vast multiverse on a group chat of all things.
[Singularity Found at the End]: I think it's most likely true. I've traveled multiple times between universes before.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: For real? I guess it’s not that impossible for other worlds to exist. Considering the past eight years I lived, I should’ve expected the supernatural world to be that vast.
[Singularity Found at the End]: Sounds like you've got your own difficulties.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: It's fine. I've managed to live well thus far.
[Ding! Group Chat Announcement!]
[Congratulations on logging in today! You’ve earned 100 points. Please refer to the pinned message at the top of the interface to familiarize yourself with the system. We’re thrilled to see the first two members interacting. We encourage you to introduce yourselves to one another!]
[Singularity Found at the End]: Let's check it out then.
We read the post containing vital information about the group chat. Apparently we're rewarded points for logging in each day to spend on some of the features listed here.
We can upload photos to use as our cover photos or posts on the message board. I was surprised you could even upload memories for others to view them.
Gift seemed self-explanatory where we just send our possessions to each other's mailbox
I accessed the market and was blown away by how much was inside. There were normal items such as swords and equipment, skill books, medicine and other miscellaneous stuff. Sure enough, my rank 4 account allowed me to browse every corner of the market, but after skimming through thousands of products, I felt like I hadn’t even scratched the surface.
The gacha…let’s forget about this for now.
There's even a feature for world traveling!? This group chat has everything! It costs points to travel to other worlds through the group chat by 3000 points. So that would take logging in for 30 days to use this.
Fortunately, there's the missions the group chat will sends to earn points. I saw that there will be daily missions, but I haven't noticed any yet. There's also world missions where I assume they're a big deal concerning the world at large or in other worlds. I think the details will come around once the group reaches a certain point.
[Singularity Found at the End]: Have you finished checking everything out?
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: More or less. Since we don't have enough points to buy anything from the market right now, why don't we do what they suggested and introduce ourselves?
[Singularity Found at the End]: Alright. My name is Miyama Kaito, I'm a 29 year old man living in the world of Trinia.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: Then, I'm Arisato Minato, a 17 year old high school boy living on Earth. So that would make you my senpai, Kaito-san.
[Singularity Found at the End]: I think I'll call you Minato-kun from now on, it's better than referring to you by your username, ahaha.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: Don't mention it. I really don't know why the group chat gave me that username.
[Singularity Found at the End]: I'm surprised though. You're from Earth? Your name sounds very Japanese.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: I could say the same about your name too. I assumed this group chat automatically translates our messages to something we can understand, given the vast diversity of the far reaches of the multiverse.
[Singularity Found at the End]: It probably does have something like that working in the background for us. You're a really smart guy at your age, Minato-kun. But you live in Japan, huh?
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: That's right. You from Earth too?
[Singularity Found at the End]: You got it. I was born on Earth and moved to Trinia when I was still in college.
[Singularity Found at the End]: I can't deny that. But that's strange. It shouldn't be possible for you to get into the group chat from Earth.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: Why is that?
[Singularity Found at the End]: Because the group chat needs permission from a World Creator to come into that world and contact someone to invite them here.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: You sound like you're familiar with the World Creator of Earth.
[Singularity Found at the End]: I guess you could say I got connections.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: Damn, I'm talking to a bigshot.
I raised my head from the screen and looked at the World Creator of my world.
"Eden-san, you mentioned that you didn't let the group chat enter your world, right?" (Kaito)
"Indeed. I would never allow any outsiders to influence my world." (Eden)
I hummed a bit in thought and looked back down to the screen.
[Singularity Found at the End]: I believe your Earth is different from the Earth I lived in.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: Oh really? I wouldn't be too surprised if there's two or infinite versions of Earths out there.
[Singularity Found at the End]: To confirm if they are really different, can you tell me any common knowledge of your world? For example, the year.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: It's 2009 over here in my world.
[Singularity Found at the End]: Yeah, it's definitely different. My Earth is around two decades into the future from yours.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: Maybe the group chat is connecting us from different points in time. It's already surpassed the concept of space, so what's time to it?
[Singularity Found at the End]: You've got a point. More mysteries to solve in the future. Say, how did you come into contact with the group chat?
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: I saw a foreign software on my computer desktop. I tried deleting it, but it wouldn't go away. After some time, I just went and opened it. Didn't even care if I got some weird virus as a consequence.
[Singularity Found at the End]: Mine came in the form of a floating phone. I was told the group chat will appear before us in a form we're familiar with to interact.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: But man is it disappointing that some of the features are locked. I can't livestream and there are restrictions on the market for me.
[Singularity Found at the End]: You can't livestream? For me, the feature tells me it's available.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: Eh? Then what about the market on your side?
[Singularity Found at the End]: I don't have any restrictions.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: ...Are you the illegitimate child of the group chat?
[Singularity Found at the End]: I can guarantee that is absolutely impossible.
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: If you say so.
[Ding! Group Chat Announcement!]
[We will now distribute daily missions for you to earn points!]
[<Singularity Found at the End>]
[100 points: Go on a date with Shallow Vernal]
[150 points: Give Eden a headpat]
[200 points: Win a game of chess]
[<Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster>]
[100 points: Slay 100 shadows]
[150 points: Fuse a Persona from the Fool Arcana]
[200 points: Complete one of Elizabeth's requests]
[Singularity Found at the End]: What's with the daily missions on my end!? Why is winning a game of chess worth more points than the nightmare that's number two!?
[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: What are you complaining about? It's like you're living the life of a visual novel main character. Meanwhile, I still haven't found that damn silver medal. Oh well, time to go fuse Black Frost.
I put down the phone and dared not to raise my head immediately this time. After summoning enough courage, I looked up and saw the expectant gaze of Eden-san. Shiro-san meanwhile was glowing brightly.
"...This group chat, I approve of it." (Shallow Vernal)
"Of course you do. Of course you do." (Kaito)
Afterword:
Serious-senpai: "Uwaaaaahh! Why!? I thought moving into a fanfiction will take me away from all the sweetness! Where's the promised seriousness!!!"
???: "Ah Serious-senpai, poor you. You just don't understand how devoted the fans are to the concept of dispensing sugar. We taught them that much too well."
Arisato Minato
