It’s the fourth day, and I’m on my way to the final person to receive a Golem. My destination this time is actually an entirely different world.

The place was a completely white expanse, dotted with skyscraper-like buildings that seemed to stretch endlessly into the sky. As I arrived, I was met with, or more accurately, ambushed, by someone rushing toward me at an alarming speed.

"MY CHIIIILD!"

I felt chills running through my body at the familiar voice. Before the figure could reach me with open arms, someone else intervened, delivering a swift kick that sent her flying.

She hurtled into the distance, smashing through several towering buildings before coming to a thunderous stop with a deafening crash.

To an ordinary onlooker, the scene might seem like an extreme overreaction. In my opinion, however, this was the bare minimum required to keep that maniac under control.

"Aliiiice~, why do you have to be so cruel to me?"

"Shut it, idiot. When are you going to learn to stop scaring Kaito-san with your over-the-top antics, Makina?" (Alice)

The person in question climbed out of the rubble, sporting a comically large bump on her head and tears streaming down her face.

She was a petite woman, standing at around 150 cm, dressed in a simple white dress paired with a reddish cardigan. Her long, rust-colored hair framed her well-groomed face, but the most striking feature about her was the mechanical wing attached to her right shoulder. Her eyes, a mesmerizing iridescent hue, seemed to shimmer with an otherworldly allure.

Makina-san…is the real person behind the Eden Unit moving around in Trinia. She’s the World Creator of my world and the Earth I used to live in. So to speak, Eden-san and Makina-san are the same person.

"I can’t help it when my precious child is so adorable! In fact, isn’t it far more insulting not to shower him with my love at every opportunity!?" (Makina)

"Get that head of yours screwed on straight, you perverted God! You can only do that once you’ve learned to control your obsession!" (Alice)

Makina-san vehemently argued with Alice who sternly lectured back. The two of them were going at it in their usual chaotic dynamic, so I decided it’d be best I insert myself in to steer the conversation towards the reason for my visit to save time.

"Excuse me, Makina-san?" (Kaito)

"Yes, what is it, my child?" (Makina)

Makina-san dashed toward me at an unbelievable speed, stopping just inches away and staring directly into my eyes, her own sparkling like stars, brimming with eagerness for me to speak.

"Today is Alice’s turn, so I was supposed to be visiting her to grab her Golem. But I got a message from Makina-san that you’ll be interjecting yourself for the moment. Can you tell me the reason why?" (Kaito)

"Why of course! I am here to inform you, my beloved child, of the amazing news that will cause you to jump for joy!" (Makina)

Somehow, I seriously doubted that. My instincts were already warning me that joy was the last thing I’d be feeling.

"Leveraging the concept of Divided Spirits and exploiting the loophole of sneaking in as objects to accompany you into other worlds is a step in the right direction. However, the quality of these vessels is far too abysmal, severely limiting the host’s power. I, on the other hand, have far less limitations." (Makina)

I don’t think I like where this is going. but Makina-san pressed on, ignoring my growing unease.

"That’s right, it’s my Paradise Unit: Eden! Just an automaton I use to move around in, so it qualifies as an object, just like those low-quality Golems. Now, my child gets a Quasi-Omnipotent bodyguard and never has to be apart from his loving mother. Isn’t that wonderful!?" (Makina)

Makina finished her proclamation in a proud voice, her body brimming with excitement. Actually, I think I could sense her hoping for praise from me.

"Y-Yeah, it is a wonderful idea, Makina-san. I probably should’ve known from the beginning that something like that was possible when the idea of possessing objects was thrown around." (Kaito)

"Hehe, I knew it! My child must be squealing with joy on the inside. You’re just as thrilled as I am, knowing that your loving mother will always be by your side." (Makina)

And just like that, she pushed the conversation forward, entirely convinced her perspective of how I must be feeling was the correct one.

Makina-san insists on calling herself my mother, even though we’re not related by blood or any other connection. It stems from her role as the World Creator of my world, leading her to regard everyone within it as her children.

"Ahh, the thought of going on an adventure with my precious child... Fighting by his side, protecting him from all harm, and spending so much intimate time together. Isn’t that just romantic?" (Makina)

And there she went, descending into her own little world. She clasped her cheeks with both hands, an eerie smile spreading across her face as she gazed at me, her eyes now adorned with black heart-shaped marks.

I should probably clarify that Makina-san is utterly infatuated with me, so much so that her love borders on obsession and madness. In simpler terms, she’s a yandere. That said, she isn’t exactly threatening. At the very least, she keeps that twisted side of her feelings in check and behaves herself…most of the time.

But when she does break her restraint and go berserk…yeah, it’s a huge reason for me not wanting to bring her along. Makina-san doesn’t even consider other living beings as anything more than walking lumps of meat besides her children. If she snapped, she might start threatening others to obey me or outright obliterate anything, or anyone, that caused me even the slightest inconvenience, regardless of whether they were friend or foe.

"Keep it down, you lustful god. You’re scaring Kaito-san again." (Alice)

Alice landed a beautiful chop on Makina-san’s head. The attack broke her out of her trance and now she’s clutching her head, face contorted in a mock-cry.

There are only a few people who can rein in Makina-san during one of her maniac episodes. Alice is one of them, and I’m always thankful for her willingness to take on the burden of keeping her best friend in check.

"Please have some faith in me, Alice…I promise I’ll be on my best behavior! I have already set up a lot of countermeasures in the Paradise Unit I’ll be staying inside to prevent anything from escalating…" (Makina)

"Well those countermeasures better mean something, because Kuro-san and I won’t be at our full strength inside those Golems to stop you." (Alice)

Makina-san pleaded with a frail voice and Alice sighed, clearly exasperated by her insistence. Well, I don’t like seeing Makina-san in such a pitiful state, so I figured I’d back her up this time.

"I think you can trust both her and me, Alice. I’m confident I can keep her calm. She’s been working on her self-control for the past few years, so I’d like to believe in her progress." (Kaito)

"…You’re really sure about this? Fine, I’ll place my faith in my lover to know what he’s doing. Just promise me that you’ll use Makina only as a last resort." (Alice)

"Yeah, I promise I won’t rely on Makina-san unless things get really desperate." (Kaito)

Alice reluctantly nodded and assented to me keeping around the Paradise Unit on me. As for Makina-san, an ecstatic expression blossomed on her face when I defended her and she immediately glomped on me.

"My child! I love you, I love you so much!" (Makina)

"Alright, alright. I understand, Makina-san." (Kaito)

"Oh, you won’t regret it! I’ll be your loyal guardian and wipe out anyone who stands in your way!" (Makina)

"That’s a little over the top, but I get the sentiment." (Kaito)

I gave a wry smile and hugged her back as she eagerly rubbed her head against my cheek.

"Even still, I can only hope you don’t end up in a world where you’d need Makina’s power to succeed." (Alice)

"That won’t be a problem. For the Omniscient me, I’m already aware of the worlds my child will visit in the future. Even if there was a world out there where Quasi-Omnipotent power isn’t enough, I’d intervene with my main body and the story would end at that point." (Makina)

While Alice’s worry was reasonable, Makina-san brushed it off with a smug smile.

"Besides, do you really believe Shallow Vernal and the rest of the World Creators sitting in Trinia would rest on their laurels and do nothing if my child was in danger?" (Makina)

"It might seem silly to worry about, but I’m the kind of person who likes to account for every possibility and be fully prepared." (Alice)

Alice’s resolve was unwavering in this aspect as usual. That’s why she’s always one of my most trustworthy allies. I couldn’t help but feel warm from her thoughtfulness.

"Alright! Once we hand over my Golem and your Paradise Unit, we’re done here. So could you hurry up and let go of him already?" (Alice)

"Just give me 500 more years to enjoy this moment." (Makina)

"Stop being so unreasonable and spoiled!" (Alice)

What followed was Alice attempting to pry Makina-san off me, as the latter clung to me with an iron grip, refusing to budge. The situation escalated into yet another of their usual chaotic exchanges.

Afterword:

The Six King Golem Summary:

The Blazing Beast: Volcanic Beast

A crimson, Magical Beast-shaped Golem modeled after Megiddo. It excels in close combat, charging at enemies like a battering ram and overwhelming them with its exceptional melee prowess. While its long-range attack options are limited, its remarkable speed makes it difficult to keep at bay with ranged attacks. Coupled with its incredible durability, battles against it tend to be prolonged and arduous.

The Screaming Earth: Geogaiarum

A massive, Earth Dragon-shaped Golem resembling a Triceratops, modeled after Magnawell. This colossal creation functions as a heavy tank, boasting immense size, extraordinary strength, and unparalleled defense. Like the Volcanic Beast, it serves as a vanguard-type among the Six King Golems. However, it also wields the ability to manipulate the ground, enabling it to launch wide-area attacks, further reinforcing its dominance on the battlefield.

The Singing Forest: Frauchir

A towering, tree-like monster Golem modeled after Lillywood. This Golem is a master of defense and counterattacks. Since the forest itself constitutes Frauchir's body, it cannot be destroyed by mere brute force or ordinary firepower. Additionally, its exceptional regeneration and recovery abilities make it nearly impossible to break through its defenses.

The Frozen Abyss: Karismenalde

A spectral, Ghost-type Golem modeled after Isis. Designed as a rear-guard combatant, it specializes in powerful magical assaults. It begins battles by unleashing Cocytus Infinity and Cocytus Zero, devastating magical attacks that act as a test of one's ability to endure. Those unable to survive these initial strikes are deemed unfit to face Karismenalde. The Golem is accompanied by three Guardian Beasts, which nullify all damage to its main body as long as they remain active, significantly enhancing its resilience.

The Sneering Moonlight: Luminax

A unique, Shadow-type Golem modeled after Alice, Luminax employs unpredictable and deceptive strategies to outwit its opponents. Its battle unfolds in multiple phases:

Phase 1: A chaotic encounter where Luminax relies on ambushes and surprise attacks.

Phase 2: A direct confrontation as Luminax transforms into the forms of the previously encountered Four King Golems.

Phase 3: A tactical shift where Luminax multiplies into four separate Golems, each wielding the powers of one of the aforementioned King Golems.

Final Phase: A climactic showdown against Luminax’s ultimate form, a menacing and agile Shadow Jester.

The Silver Attendant: Elcrester

Modeled after Ein, this Maid-type Golem boasts exceptional versatility in battle. It employs advanced Time and Space Manipulation Magic, executing attacks with breathtaking speed. Throughout the fight, Elcrester strategically lays down magical threads to create a trap-filled battlefield. Once the threads ensure the opponent’s inability to escape, Elcrester engages decisively, combining precision and power to overwhelm its foes.

The Black Emperor: Cross of the End

A Golem modeled after Kuro, Cross of the End begins as a partner to Elcrester, fighting alongside it in a formidable duo. Even in this initial state, its abilities are exceptional, making it a powerful opponent. However, Cross of the End cannot take damage until Elcrester is defeated, making the battle a two-step challenge. Once Elcrester is defeated, Cross of the End transforms into its final form. In this ultimate state, it gains access to the powers of all six other King Golems. Additionally, its base abilities are elevated to an extraordinary level.
