10 YEARS AGO, 10450, SUMMER MONTH 1, DAY 10, YEAR 10450 SAMURAI COUNTRY NAGASUKE

Luckily, between the manual, his personal training, his travel companions giving him tips and training, the Mistress’s tutoring and the Cauldron baths and Inspiration from Translucent Trails, his head did not burst open like a watermelon and only leaked a trickle of blood.

So, getting back up despite his ringing skull, and immediately was not the problem but he was wondering what to do, when he stumbled on the back of the animal he had previously killed.Full novel: Peerless Sword Celestial – Nightmare Of Souls — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The fall, luckily, had allowed him to evade another swift and spinning passage.

Skrylla Yokuta quickly rolled back and crouched behind the dying Rhino as the Armadillo bounced off a tree that now had some of its roots pulled out from the Marsupials rotating impact which left a healthy dent in the trunk of the tree for further evidence of its prowess.

He was happy about the fortification his body had been getting over time as he could only imagine what would have happened to him if he had not been getting better.

But, more importantly, Drisnyl Hashna Tsuyo-sa had told him that like human enemies, animals had weakness.

Like, the underside, the eyes, their sight, their hobbies their ego and even like the armored slates he had used earlier.

And luckily, when he watched it unroll, he happily noticed that the underbelly was pink and soft.

Seeing its cute appearance dwarfing its damage capabilities, he braced himself confidently after standing up fully to face it.

Every time he started building Sword Wind on the weapon he was less worried about shock traveling from the weapon to his arm.

Sword Wind level of building Sword Intent only began about last month, but its speed and the animal’s attack method was bizarre to him.

He could either wait for it to land before striking at it, or hide and find other possible solutions.

And when it rolled again, he quickly ducked once more, using his now 1/128th charged Sword Wind to see that although the Wooden Sword was knocked to the side and almost wrenched from his hands, the trajectory of the Spinning Marsupial was shifted because of the influence of the Sword Wind from his breathing technique.

So that, it bounced to a tree higher than it should have before returning to ground again in its ricochet.

“Hah!” he sprinted towards it this time, making it roll in preparation sooner than it had planned, and as he approached, he slid on the side of a bent leg while bracing his weapon on the other with a manner that kept the back of his Wooden Sword be like a ramp.

– approaching it in a way in which his legs made the shape of an ‘L’ to its eyes –.

And when the Armadillo spun towards his Wooden Sword with 1/64th Sword Wind this time, even though the weapon trembled like a plucked guitar string, the animal’s path was forced to climb higher to the air as it spun end on end.

Skrylla Yokuta had forced the shaking hand still, even as the animals passing on it had also forced him to stand up from a back roll, so that when he had kicked off a tree and into its path, the Sword Wind was now 1/32nd charged.

His blade on its incoming slam passed vibrations into his body as though he were densely being electrocuted as he had forced the Unawakened Animal to shoot into the corpse of the dead Rhino and not only allow him to begin charging his Sword Wind on his weapon but to grant him access to its soft underside.

“Thanks Buddy!”

It landed, making a sick sound of wet flesh being splattered from a heavier object as it stayed in the body of the dead horned animal.

The Armadillo had watched him drop with a weapon charged with 1/256th Sword Wind, then began encasing itself in a shell with intention to roll over.

And by the time it had finally managed to cover its body in the form of a ball, he had also reached it, with the Sword Wind only 1/128th ready.

Nonetheless, he was now in its range and his Weapon had backfired from a successful recoil.

The rolling Marsupial did not waste this charge, and as if the liquids of the Rhino gave it lubrication, it fired off even faster to hit his abdomen, forcing him to curl to one knee on the floor as it one of his shin’s drag itself back in his kneeling position from the exchange. And thanks to the chant in his head and the repeated pain of his Cauldron Baths as well as his other experiences these few months, he coughed blood once but held his breath before continuing his breathing technique which returned the building Sword Wind atop the weapon, allowing it to reach 1/64th of the way.

Translucent Trails guided the way for the next impact.

So, he rolled away to avoid a rotating body slam that cracked the ground at his feet.

And the next time it came spinning to him, he smacked it to a tree after another inspiration.

It then rebounded back to him when his sword was 1/32nd of the way, so he swiped it upwards in a manner that sent it directly up and away from anything to ricochet off.

By the time it came back down, he smacked it to a tree – is body still curled inwards and protected but not spinning anymore – so that it bounced off a tree behind him, above him when he ducked, under himself when he jumped, back directly above himself, and his sword was now 1/16th charged with Sword Wind.

The boy then leaped in calculated timing with its fall and struck it down as if he had enmity with all its generations before and afore it, burying it into the ground with blood spraying out of its body like the creature were a fountain.

Then, he looked at it with his panting chest, screaming with all his pumping veins and complacent thoughts of his achievement in the summary of barbaric proclaimed victory.

“Buddy, we win!”

However, he heard a reply that was a mix between an oink, a squeal, a snort and a roar.

“Woah, buddy, another one.”

A terrifying roar which let him know that this new aura was owned by a similar creature of power.

That is, its aura felt like the Armadillo he had just finished off.

“Buddy, let’s fi-”

A terrifying roar which let him know that this new aura was owned by an Epic Beast, and not the Unawakened ones that he had just battled.

He had to run!

Skrylla Yokuta was using every ounce of his being to get away from what he had heard and towards the trees in a direction he thought was furthest from whatever he had just heard.

About to exit the clearing, he saw a pair of horns before him.

And despite the fact that the sword which was 1/16th charged with Sword Wind, still knocked its bunt edge towards himself, although the creature had stopped whatever was charging at him, the rebound forcing him flying back into the clearing.

No, it sent him from one side to the next, and he forced himself to hold a tree as to calm his fall when he saw the horned pig.

The warthog let out it’s unique sound and he almost turned to flee when he remembered that his buddy might be getting embarrassed.

So, slowing down, Inspiration from Translucent Trails made him stop 3 steps later and witness a tree halfway uprooted from impact, only augmenting his wish that the Sword Wind will form faster.

He kicked off a nearby tree and began zig-zagging about the others to buy time.

“Buddy, we have here a problem.”

He did not know he was smiling.

When his Sword Wind was 1/128th ready, he missed the warthog’s horn by a hair but its hoof drew blood across his cheek and this was even after he had just gotten inspiration from a Translucent Trail.

Skrylla Yokuta was able to gain some distance and bring his Sword Wind to 1/64th the way when he noticed the Epic Beast yank a tree off the ground from its hooves which approached him like a tossed rag, and it broke into two pieces behind him after he had jumped to the side. 1/32 of Sword Wind charged and he saw a tree tilt towards his direction, so he had jumped to the side because he thought it would also fall.

But nothing happened after he landed and in the suddenly silent forest nothing was louder that his thoughts or his heartbeat.

“Buddy,” his grin so fierce he couldn’t wait to find the creature that assumed it could get him embarrassed before his closest friend.

“Where is it hiding?”

The Sword Wind reached 1/16th when he visually caught The Epic Warthog Beast readying a charge and launching itself.

Skrylla Yokuta could not dodge – not completely at this range pf at least 100 meters – and instead swiped outwards so that his hand would be the last to follow him in his full body horizontal spin for his response.

And the Warthog’s momentum added to allowing the Wooden Sword landing a long slice across one eye successful as it was nearing him mid-air.

It let out it’s unique roar but continued its advance only to scrape from his waist to his back as he had done a full body twirl.

It hit a giant a tree and caused it to bend as it began screaming in pain from its ruined eye since Skrylla Yokuta had injured it.

But even with his Sword Wind 1/8th of the way ready now – wind lightly visibly gathering about it like a furious air conditioner release – he was not sure half-blinding it will be totally effective.

“Buddy, it was kind of a good hit,” he grinned at it as the creature reflected anger in his eyes.

“Kind of; so we need to do more.”

So, he watched with every part of his being alert, the furious Epic Beast curl into itself before jumping with so much force that the tree trunk it had leapt from now had a hole through it from the Warthog’s passion to reach him.

He had fallen backwards this time, listening to inspiration and ignored smacking his own head to the soil ground as he did a back roll while drawing a line across its belly in its passing.

“Not enough buddy,” he stared at it in hunger, “not enough.”

And by the time it had landed to roar in indignation after turning to him, he began leaping between trees again

Right now – with his Sword Wind now 1/4th – he witnessed the creature break through a tree and reach him with so much force that he only stood standing for a full second, bent the next and tossed for the final, his body was thrown away like a rag doll.

So that, he smashed his back into a tree to fall on standing up.

The Warthog next drew its hoof back several times as if building momentum for a final strike and the Sword Wind was finally 1/2 way ready and his was ready to jump, but inspiration held him back.

This way, even though its mere jump made trees nearer it to get uprooted and others shiver like they were buck naked in the middle of winter, it approached him who had set the sword straight that slipped into its nostril.

It squealed in anger and pain, thrashing about as they flew in an arc it had created with its flight path until they landed on the floor.

And after about several minutes, the Wooden Sword up one of its nostrils finally became full of Sword Wind besides blood and snot.

Skrylla Yokuta – with random parts of his torso bloodied from the creature’s ravaging horns but not as bad as his arms and his chest – finally stopped grinning as it now became just a full smile, the ache of his body at the back of his mind.

He then pulled his weapon towards its skull as the Weapon covered in his full Sword Wind tore the bone in its nose to reach its brain where his opponent stopped it’s struggle.

“Buddy, I think we did alright.”

Panting hard, he stood up and decided not to scream victory, simply walking towards any direction of trees.

He then remembered how he had survived from the first fight with an animal and then turned back to feast off what he could.
