10 YEARS AGO, 10450, SUMMER MONTH 1, DAY 11, YEAR 10450 SAMURAI COUNTRY NAGASUKE
Skrylla Yokuta remembered last night but felt no worries because he had told them how he had done his Sword Wind and what it took to take his next step to Sword Surge, without really giving them details his mother had told him that could backfire anytime.
And that was because, to gain any benefits, they would need to actually circulate it according to the rhythm and patterns written down.
Which was one of the reasons why his Breathing Technique Manual was in his Cavity Bracelet.
After Karin had helped him, he asked if they could indulge him with their regimen and they argued until he kowtowed and held buddy as he cried saying.
“Don’t do it for me.
Do it for my path.
”
Sighing, Karin kicked Gejiro into position and found Jin Ready.
Now, it was 50 percent he was off against.
And he was able to stabilize all the disadvantages he got as he smiled with abandon.
His Sword Wind was called on faster and he was exceedingly happy.
After they were done, he had been dipped in the cauldron and then done his own practice before sleeping.
The new day was all the same but there was something weird about it;
“Good morning.”
Hashna Drisnyl Tsuyo-ya turned away like she had not heard a word and pulled out game they had killed yesterday to eat today.
Outside of him talking to her first today, she had ignored him.
Karin was shocked but said not a word as a scowl was ever present on her face.
But why was she angry, he was the one putting himself at risk?
Shrugging, he did his practice like usual.
Days turned into weeks and rain no longer fell, instead allowing the glorious sun to shine through.
And as the Regimen kept getting harder, he was able to instantly cast Sword Wind by the end of the month when he was facing 60 percent of their strength.
Without Ko-jin, of course.
Also, the Translucent Trails had become sketchy Silhouettes that solely focused on vital parts.
For instance, if he needed to twist out of the way, he saw a whirling form.
Yeah, now he saw, not only feeling the inspiration and maybe it had something to do with his Breathing Techniques but it was also conjoined with his practice and frequent battling.
Anyways, though, he was sure it was helping him, he could only surmise that his buddy loved and would never leave or betray him.
At the end of that month, the Mistress put up the cauldron and it almost made Skrylla Yokuta happy because she still had not spoken to him.
But at the very least, now she pointed to Karin and them him as she added Tissue Densifier Powder to his daily cauldron mix. New chapters come out on novelping.com first.
The following 3 weeks would have been forgettable as he had gotten used to the Mistress’s silence – besides he had his buddy – if he did not have such an issue with Sword Surge 1.
During the course of their battles, Skrylla Yokuta had to spread his Sword Wind over himself.
Now, whenever they bloated in one area, they could surprisingly stop the attacks there.
Like, stop both the attacker and the attack in their tracks.
However, for instance, the density of Sword Wind would be so clogged up at the specific area that he would feel imbalanced as though an actual weight was on his leg.
However.
That left other areas ‘starved’ and without much ‘protection’ or ‘power’.
Thus, he scowled at his battles and grumbled but ploughed through.
Besides, he always found a way to find something to be happy for as his buddy was always with him and his growth in other areas were not getting any less.
So, on the 1st day of final week in the 2nd Summer Month, he felt progress for a minute.
In that same minute, he turned offense to defense by blocking all attacks in a full circle and then thrusted forwards before nicking at their legs which forced them to jump back.
Still within his circle, Skrylla Yokuta swung with all his might as though replying with all his pent-up frustration and Karin lost her balance for a second.
Along with Jin and Gejiro.
For the final step, he ran atop their chest in an almost horizontal spin, so that he made it back to the circle as they fell upon their backs.
Staring at himself in amazement, he held an arm up to them.
“My buddy says you win this bout because it has to acclimatize.”
Sitting down and pushing his Breathing Technique to the max, Skrylla Yokuta had it until… he did suddenly felt nothing anymore.
Grabbing his hair, he screamed.
He was going to get it back for sure!
Practice, Meditation, Visualization, Regimen, Rest, Regimen, Cauldron Bath, Practice, Meditation, Visualization hunting in-between helped him to stumble across it a few times, each time longer than the last by half a minute.
On the last day, however, they passed by a set of trees that had directions written on wooden planks.
—Intermediary Gathering of Bghorsk 5 Miles Away —
“We are not too far from our target.”
Skrylla Yokuta rolled his shoulders as the rest had indifferent expressions.
If he tried to reply vocally, he would be ignored.
So he continued moving as did all they.
Towards the end of this month, Drisnyl Hashna Tsuyo-ya had added Tissue Densifier Powder and Aperture Bolster Powder into each boiling salve that she tossed Skrylla Yokuta into.
The Fall Month was at their door step with only the next day in between them but she had thought to help him into the new addition now because she did not want them interrupting the next night.
And that was because by that time, they would be in Bghorsk after all their travel. The source of this chapter is g.com.
In fact, clumps of fallen leaves were strewn about.
Though not a lot, but definitely more than a few were here and there.
Plus, the cold was more than the heat now.
Thus, there was Tissue Densifier Powder and Aperture Bolster Powder, Tissue Activating Powder and Aperture Opening Powder, Tissue Enhancing Powder and Aperture Activation Powder.
Anyways, it was kind of hard for him to sleep, but before he did, he did not miss his usual routine.
Thus, the last day of the 2nd Summer month, Skrylla Yokuta walked in his group before he spotted something up ahead.
“Buddy, do you see that?”
Hashna Drisnyl Tsuyo-ya’s face scrunched but she adjusted it before he saw.
Then, he was running forward.
“Mine, mine!!!”
“No.”
Her voice hit him and made him stumble as it had somehow crossed a distance of 100 meters without diminishing.
She shouted the same thing but this time he had to stop as again his mind felt confused for a moment.
The last time, after he finally shrugged off her warning that felt more physical than vocal, he was thrown to the ground.
“You need to chill.”
Skrylla Yokuta panted and clawed the ground in a half push up position that was also hunched until she came to stand by his side.
“Yes, it is good to improve but you need rest, your body needs rest.
Your mind nee-”
Hashna Drisnyl Tsuyo-ya had expected to see him in pain and distress but when he opened his eyes, he glared at her with so much hatred she was shocked.
“You owe me.” He was almost snarling, “how dare you stop me and my buddy from having fun?”
The Mistress wanted to beat him with her fists until she remembered that she really did owe him one favor.
[1] And while she had not agreed, she had not negated the request either.
Sighing and walking away, she flicked her sword to the side and the ground from where her Hooked Sword tip trailed drew a line that cut into the floor for at least 400 meters.
This obviously stopped Jin, Karin and Gejiro who were as curious as ignorant children.
“Fine, have your way.”
Standing up, Skrylla Yokuta dusted himself.
“Sorry about that, buddy.”
Facing forward, he turned to the direction he had sensed an Aura and then stood there until it approached him.
“Hey, Skrylla Yokuta,” Karin called, “You know how the Ranks are Dawn, Morning Noon, Dusk, Night and Midnight?”
He nodded.
Each of those Ranks have subdivisions such as Early, Mid, Late or Peak.”
Before him, floating above ground was a Dragonfly that was as tall as he was at least, its wings beating so fast they could not be seen.
“That is a Peak Midnight Rank Beast.”
