10 YEARS AGO, 10450, SUMMER MONTH 2, DAY 31, YEAR 10,450 SAMURAI COUNTRY NAGASUKE

Skrylla Yokuta eyed the creature before himself, considering his options.

He could sit and meditate into a state where he forgot himself so that his growth for Surge 1 would be off the charts.Full novel: Peerless Sword Celestial – Nightmare Of Souls — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

However, that usually left him more tired and it was something that had been told to him by his original teacher if he was on the cusp of enlightenment and needed a boost.

This was not enlightenment, so it could only harm him.

Then he could prepare it all for a final strike.

THUD!!!

He threw his body to the side and missed the wings by inches to his face.

However, his shoulders were left with blood trailing them.

THUD!!!

After he now had marks to his face even after rolling, did he realize he could no longer dodge it.

He had to face it head on but he had no way of reaching its actual body.

What was he to do?

Still smiling, he began engaging it as he drew on his Breathing Technique as he battled.

Also, it no longer moved back when they clashed.

Sometimes, it even carried him through branches before suddenly halting its speed or wrenching its body mid-air so that he was tossed away.

And as his Sword Suge 1 grew, he got a theory.

Karin, Gejiro and Jin watched the battle with wide eyes;

On one hand was an Unawakened Peak Midnight Beast.

On the other was Skrylla Yokuta.

They were impressed that he was improving as the battle went on but they knew that his level of progress would only get him killed.

Potentially.

Maybe the Mistress did not mean it when she said they should not get involved.

Well, Jin for one was not going to sit idly by.

“What do you think?”

Karin asked a question as if she could read his mind.

Jin looked at her in askance but rid himself of the ridiculous thought.

“I think, if he has more time he will win.”

Gejiro shook his head, “his level of foundation has helped him speed through his advancement but he needs this to not only realize that life has road blocks but that he should pace himself appropriately next time.”

“Don’t worry, I will make sure that he survives this.”

Gejiro nodded, “I think I will be burrowing some of your words, Jin: Ditto.”

“I won’t allow it.”

They both looked at her like she was crazy.

“What do you mean, you won’t allow it.”

“The Karin I know is very honest.”

She chucked, “The Mistress Of Oniga – Hashna Drisnyl Tsuyo-ya – has chosen to believe in him and you are questioning the validity of her belief?

”

“We do not doubt his level of talent.

I daresay he is a genius not found in decades and maybe centuries but this is simply allowing him to suffer.”

“Yes,” Gejiro added, “it hurts me to admit it but in all the past books I have read dating for 1,000 years I find that he trully is exceptional.

At least when it comes to his rate of growth.

However…”

“However I won’t allow you not to have faith in him.”

“… Karin, you mentioned something about not allowing us.

I don’t understand.”

“True, the Karin I know does not bluff.”

She said nothing and continued staring at the match.

Skrylla Yokuta’s breathing was more labored, he could hear his heartbeat as he was focusing painfully on the Peak Unawakened Midnight Dragonfly while it hovered before him.

Unusually, it was in the air as though it wanted to simply drink in the sight of its opponent.

So, it was time to wipe it off.

Its’ aura flared surprisingly and the next thing Skrylla Yokuta knew he crashed into many branches and trunks – too many to count, until he was suddenly rolling on the floor.

Still, he rose to his feet, his expression of his wide smile there as if plastered.

Next, The Dragonfly’s aura flared again and this time, he saw himself rising into the skies and taking attacks from different directions as though the opponent found a way to be several places at the same time before he suddenly crashed back down.

Now, he was breathing through his mouth but his smile had somehow grown wider.

Another Aura Flare and it followed up bashing him into a tree trunk

The last was when it suddenly appeared above his head and then slowly let its forewings beat out of phase with its hind wings.

So that, wind blasted at Skrylla Yokuta in a large sphere tearing up more injuries into his body as his chest was now heaving.

The smile, however, was unchanged.

***

“Did you see that?”

Gejiro was so deep into trying to understand what Karin meant by what she said that it was only Jin that heard her and answered.

“What happened.”

She smiled and pointed, “look.”

***

Skrylla Yokuta was going to strike when something bizarre happened.

Usually, the Translucent Linests showed themselves upon his own self.

But this time, what he saw left him shocked.

This time, he saw the same type of mist that he had seen when he was swooped upon by the bat.

At least, when the Bat had tried to swoop on him and he dodged it.

[1].

Meaning that, instead of hitting him, the Dragonfly passed by and crashed into a tree.

Shaking its head as it turned around, it glanced at the boy and tried ramming him again, but he was inspired again.

No, that was wrong because, if the previous ones were inspirations, this one felt like a teaching.

In fact, it was proven the 3rd time he dodged because while he had Translucent Lines Inspiring him to dodge and move away in a certain manner, the new lines that resembled Gas Trails now showed him a flight trajectory.

However, how could he dodge it by simply being taught and inspired by these things that he was only sure came from his Buddy.

Skrylla Yokuta smile had been increasing and now it was a grin.

Aura Flair!

Translucent Lines and Gas Trails!

Skrylla Yokuta had sliced off a section of the lower end of its abdomen.

Smiling, he looked at his weapon and saw the Dragonfly falter mid-air.

***

Jin and Gejiro had their mouths open so large an egg could fit inside.

What was this???

This guy had not even started cultivation, but he was cutting up Peak Midnight Unawakened Beasts.

One that been excelled in speed.

Where was common sense?

Karin smiled, “Get ready to carry him when he needs help.

Jin let’s get the Caudron, he would not want to miss his baths.

I would be getting food to help him recover what he has lost.”

***

Right now, the Aura around its body was flared until it began looking visible. Follow the newest chapters on novelping.com.

As though it were on flames and Skrylla Yokuta did not need to see a face to know that it was thoroughly incensed.

On his end though, he had never grinned so fiercely.

Stance set in stone, he knew he was going to end this with a single strike.

After the Creature’s Aura stilled, Skrylla Yokuta jumped forward.

To his eyes there was only he and his foe – he saw neither tree, nor ground, nor sky nor wind, nor aura.

In its eyes it saw a challenge to its dominance.

Outside their views, though the Peak Midnight Unawakened Dragonfly started off fast then became slow before boosting itself forward after realizing a blast of wind that boosted its acceleration.

And it did this 4 times, moving in a Zig-zag as if wanting to include its wings in the attack since its opponent was traveling in a straight line.

And that was all Skrylla Yokuta did – dart forward in a straight line with a single cut.

No, he began with a single cut, but when he was infinitely close, he wove his sword as if intending to meet the challenge of cutting apart the aura also around its wings.

To the half-trained eye with some skill, there were a hundred Dragonflies that zoomed in to the boy who only cut once.

To the untrained eye with no skill, the people where in one position and then suddenly switched places like teleportation.

However, to all eyes, Skrylla Yokuta stood as the Dragonfly fell into many pieces before he too fell down from blood loss.

“Buddy… we made it…”

What is happening?

“Skrylla Yokuta you need to take something and stimulate yourself back!”

Before his face, he saw Hashna Drisnyl Tsuyo-ya scowling at him as she shouted.

Then, she stuffed what remained of the Dragonfly as his body was used to such.

Hopefully, it would kick start a chain reaction.

He could see food on the fire but when the Mistress stopped touching his body everything died down as if he was falling into reverse.

In fact, he almost let go of his Buddy until he caught it right just before it fell as the meat’s nutrients were attempting to kick start his body back to optimal condition.

The Mistress then dumped him into the Cauldron Bath as she shouted something until he forced on her and his was hanging by the arms that held him into the bath.

“The Breathing Technique, engage it!”

*Oh, yes, that.*

Starting his breathing technique he felt as tough the world stopped and he would explode, but the effects of the Cauldron bath on his body revved his lungs into responding to him while the pain only his mind could feel reminded him of the patterns he would allow his Sword Surge 1 to usually take.

Then his lips were stuffed with Epic Beast heart and it finished off the process of letting his blood flow until he woke up the next day.
