(Part 1)
10 YEARS AGO, 10,450, WINTER MONTH 5, DAY 21, YEAR 10,450 SAMURAI COUNTRY NAGASUKE.
Watching Firial Xenowatt stagger before bending on one knee because of his pride not to fall on his back again in front of this runt, Skrylla Yokuta turned to his blade.
“Hey buddy, another one bites the dust!
Your human first victory this year, you should be proud of yourself.”
Firial Xenowatt gritted his teeth as he truly wanted to stand up but his vision swarm.
However, when his vision pieced itself together, he raised his hand as he struggled to his feet and forced a smile.
“You did indeed take this one.”
In a curt bow, he staggered away and began running at some point.
Skrylla Yokuta who was tired shrugged before he remembered that they had bet for food.
So, he allowed himself to fall on his back as he let the cold numb him a little bit.
And in his excitement he thought he heard footsteps behind him which were too close for comfort until they suddenly stopped.
“Buddy, do you feel comfortable?”
Strike first think later!
And strike he did, by using his back to get up while fully extending his blade.
CRACK!
THUD!
He paused and slowly turned around to see a junior in a pouch of which he had snapped its neck while the mother kangaroo he had poked in its eye, glowering at him.

“Unawakened Epic Beast, Unawakened Epic Beast, RUN!
RUN RUN!!!”
Firial Xenowatt had sprinted back to camp even though he could not run in straight lines, but his message was well received.
“What of your friend?”
“He decided to fight it.” The man spared a turn of his head in alarm.
“Wait!
What did you say?”
“You should make more friends, I’m sure I can help him.”
“Uncle please, I’m sure you can count the number of times I have used that word, just believe me on this one!”
The old man paused and sighed.
“The least we can do is honor our bet.”
“Wha-oh the food?”
“Of course!”
Firial Xenowatt scoffed, “let him have it all!”
Scurrying in their haste they immediately left.
At some point though, Firial Xenowatt tugged at his sleeve and pulled at what seemed to be a bracelet before he hastily scribbled a note and attacked it to the accessory.
Then, jumping out of the carriage through the window, he ran a few paces until his guardian almost caught up to him before shouting;
“Feline Embrace!”
Boosting forward on all fours, he timed his advance to throw the accessory in his hard as far as he could.
The old man quickly snatched him and made him appear on his sit and back in the carriage.
“Young Master do you want me to die!?”
“Shut up, we can get another one, anyways.”
“Do not put yourself in such harm, anymore!”
“Oh, shut up.”
The old man looked away and smiled, maybe his young master had finally gotten a friend.
***
“Hey buddy I think we might ha-“
Crack!
He had gotten the Flash Of Inspiration but his wanting to apologize to the Mother Kangaroo naively outweighed his usual reaction time.
CRACK!
Luckily, him stamping his half-crippled ankle back into place did not stop him from saving some ribs that were now cracked but now he had to deal with a broken shoulder.
Though, from his childhood and his experiences tailored for him to overcome, the boy be happy that he was not new to such injuries
*Bless My mother.*
Compared to how the magnitude of a nearly Awakened Owl was to what he had seen, he was happy this one did not look too much bigger than it originally should have been. Read the latest chapters at g.com.
Though it *felt* larger and its looming presence seemed to have replaced a portion of the atmosphere.
He rolled out of the way to dodge the next kick.
And he had thought that placing his weight on the shoulder – like he did his once dislocated ankle – would fix it but it only made pain blossom like a flower.
Still, he only bit his lip to not only stifle his scream but to stay focused.
That, though, was still enough to allow him to be distracted enough that it was only after his back smashed against a tree and snow from its branches fell atop himself that Skrylla Yokuta realized he had been kicked away.
Not letting him rest, the enraged Kangaroo appeared before him again in fury but he was lucky to sidestep away once his feet landed and aimed at its back.
However, its tail smacked his sword away before it turned in the same motion to finally head butt his chest into creating some distance between themselves again.
The next set of stomps and falling feet were easier to dodge, as even though this was natural terrain, parts of the ground were frozen.
So, using his own soles and heels to meander across the ground worked a while.
Then, when his scraping buttock felt a rough patch of unfrozen ground, and he saw a tree besides himself, the boy used the sudden change of smoothness to push himself up and backwards.
Next, he kicked off the tree and swung down hard, milliseconds after its feet left imprints on the trunk.
THWACK!
The Animals skull reverberated with sound and pain as it had been forced to gaze down.
And twisting like he had formerly been inspired while his previous opponent had fought him, Skrylla Yokuta spun on the spot as if to deliver a spinning kick, but his blade landed on its neck.
Then, he quickly follow up – dodging a swinging tail in the process – and landed a hit on the ribs after twirling in the opposite direct.
Then, finishing with another spin that made it floundering tail to scrape atop his white hair, Skrylla Yokuta landed another hit on its knee.
And Now that it was displaced, he found it irresistible to not run up its back to deliver another head strike.
But when he got up there, after dangerously missing a tail, the Nearly Awakened Kangaroo Epic Beast seemed to have disappeared before his eyes.
Alas, it was now in the air above himself!
POW!
It had apparently sprung up in a stationary backflip to be above his head, then used his shoulders as stepping stones to ascend its own body higher while its nose and ears bled.
Meaning that, to dissipate the force that met his legs upon his forced descent, Skrylla Yokuta had to roll forward again.
Ghost Trails!
Skrylla Yokuta quickly followed them to place all his weight upon a tree trunk so that he was 15 degrees away from being horizontally placed on it after leaping there.
And if he had been a second slower, he would have been meat paste on the ground as it landed with a –
BANG –
Anyways, he got another illumination to his mind on what to do next.
So, he flew forth and reached the Nearly Awakened Animal, as the ground splintered before its aggressive landing, to pierce into its eye just the moment it raised its head to meet his approaching form.
However, while he had cleanly stabbed its organ for vision, the Unawakened Kangaroo Epic Beast had done a small jump to mitigate its damage while throwing its neck backwards.
Meaning that Skrylla Yokuta was now airborne and flipping end on end vertically.
Luckily, another Illumination to his mind on what to do next helped him out;
Skrylla Yokuta tucked in his arm that held his sword as he whirled himself like a spin top.
Crack.
More blood dripped down its nostril but its rage seemed to leave it blind.
Thus, it jumped again and Skrylla Yokuta followed what he had been advised before, pulling in his Sword so that he spun faster as he had been rebounded even higher.
CRACK.
Now though, the creature paused after landing on the ground, swaying.
So, Skrylla Yokuta’s final hit finished it off.
CRACK!!!
Falling to the side, it lay motionless and the boy glanced about his surroundings to make sure he was truly free.
His first 4 years of life had built him with enough to know that he was only half gone with his stamina left.
But he wasted no time to pull its corpse towards the tree as he had made a bet with Firial Xenowatt.
***
Skrylla Yokuta met the camp empty but it was not such a bad place to sleep.
So, when he woke up at midnight, he quickly did his routing practice before finding his garbage bin and basket to pull them towards the former campsite.
He knew the quickest way to heal himself was to eat the Kangaroo.
But on his way, he saw something that glimmered in the moonlight.
It looked like a bracelet and he would have ignored it if he did not see a paper attached to it.
-Hey, Loser –
I left you with a CavityBracelet if you manage to win the battle between you and that Dusk Unawakened Epic Beast.
In case you don’t know what that means it means it is 4/6 ways to awakening.
(Dawn, Morning, Noon, Dusk, Midnight and Twilight)
Dumb, dumb.
To help you life a little, I left Instructions on how to use it below.
But you happen to be a peasant so I do not think you will be able to understand any of this.
Haha!
Consider this a promise to beat you up the next time I see you.
Simply twist a section of it, the CavityBracelet is a Storage Item, much like that basket of yours but one does not keep food in its pristine .
It can keep any object in the same manner, apart from living things.
Your king,
Firial Xenowatt
“Hey, Buddy, I think we encountered a mad man.
He even calls himself a peasant.
How stupid!”
