Ethan was getting anxious. He was an inexperienced shopper.
Sophie saw his expression and his desperate, confused eyes as he looked through different sections, trying to choose a dress for her.
She smiled and picked a dress that wasn’t too costly.
Although the dress was cheap for someone like Sophie, she didn’t care.
Getting a gift from his first crush filled her with joy.
"I think this will suit me."
"Ethan, I liked this dress for me; you can buy it if you want to"
She said with a knowing smile.
"Okay, ring it up. I will buy some more clothes too."

The saleswoman wrapped the dress.

Kyle said with a smile. He wanted Sophie, but he also wanted to protect his dignity.
Grovelling or becoming a simp to be with her will not get her attention; instead, he’ll become laughing stock.

"On the fifth floor, there is a new cafe. I heard it is very good. Let’s go there and have a latte."
Kyle offered in a gentle tone. He wanted to make it sound as polite and well-mannered as possible to make it difficult for her to refuse.

"We will go to the cafe together with Ethan."
Sophie said to soothe Kyle.
She felt bad for him.
She didn’t know how malicious Kyle’s personality was.
She only saw him as a devoted guy who doesn’t give up, which was kinda scary for her.

Ethan said with a sarcastic smile.
Kyle understood his sarcasm and wanted to chew him alive, but he composed himself.
He can’t show his anger in front of Sophie.

After some minutes, they completed their shopping for clothes to buy.

She felt a pang of guilt for him.
