Every time Sang Chu used an ability, Tu You cried out beside her.

“Hahaha—no wonder I, Tu You You, chose you as my partner. You’re insanely strong, A-Chu! You’re a Super Five-element ability user!”

Metal, wood, water, fire, earth—and on top of that, wind. Sang Chu stared at her hands in disbelief.

After exhausting all her power fighting the crocodiles, she had felt that inner wall slowly shatter. After sleeping, her body showed obvious changes—she had unexpectedly awakened six abilities.

It was a delightful surprise.

“So… does that mean I can condense gold bars and trade them for money with Hua Xi and the others?”

“Yesss, of course! You’ll become a little rich lady in no time!”

The girl and the rabbit were ecstatic, but their excitement lasted only about a minute.

“This… this won’t do. It consumes too much ability!”

She had just formed a one-meter long golden longsword, as thick as an arm, when sweat drenched her brow—the ability was drained.

“I’m still too weak!”

She’d seen Zhao Feng use metal abilities—he was far stronger than she was.

Seeing Sang Chu a little down, Tu You comforted her: “You just awakened recently. Being able to do this already is great. Take it slow—don’t rush.”

“But I’ll be sent back to the apocalypse in only a few days. After repaying the debt and buying you, I won’t have enough money left!” Sang Chu barked anxiously. Realizing she’d snapped, she lowered her head. “Sorry—I shouldn’t have yelled.”

Sang Chu, ordinarily calm, had become visibly anxious as the days passed and the deadline to return to the apocalypse drew near.

Tu You: “It’s okay. But I don’t think you need to be so anxious—take one step at a time.”

At the thought of going back to the apocalypse she felt disgust. Maybe life here was too good—open your eyes and you see blue sky and white clouds; the air smells fresh. Those things were luxuries in the apocalypse.

“Can I bring my family and friends out of the apocalypse?”

Sang Chu looked at Tu You, hoping for a yes. Instead it answered, “Nope.”

“Why not? If I can, why can’t they?”

“Because it’s different. You were able to board because a high-level psychic bought a ticket and reserved me. I came out of the Chaos, but before I could bind with him he died. The train passed the place shown on the ticket, but there was no one there—the carriage wouldn’t depart empty, so I pulled you onboard. To be honest, you don’t exactly meet the requirements for a spacetime traveler either, but your constitution is good, your talent high, and your potential unfathomable—so you’re barely qualified.”

“Isn’t there any other way?”

“If you level up, you can take people with you. Right now you’re just a traveler—buy a ticket, board, get off at the station; the train returns afterward. But when your strength, points, and wealth increase and you become a spacetime traveler, you can bring others on time-space journeys.”

It was a big promise, but it gave Sang Chu a concrete goal.

“I understand. Let’s get off and earn money, then.”

“Ah?!”

Why did the topic suddenly switch to making money? But Sang Chu’s ambition was a good thing to Tu You.

Tu You: “After you bind to me, reserve ten thousand star coins for me. I’ll use the Time-Space Mall to buy you a mental cultivation manual. Time-space travel requires strong mental strength; the higher the continent, the faster the train—the weaker your mind, the more likely something will shatter the moment you board.”

“So can I come back to the Mutated World later?”

“Haha, directional tickets are expensive—more expensive than me. Don’t think about that now.”

“So the purchased tickets are random? You don’t even know the next stop?”

“It’s because the train moves so fast. It cycles through three thousand great worlds; each route is different and passes through different worlds. That’s why I want you to cultivate mental strength quickly—if you hit a cycle that loops through a high-level continent, you could disintegrate the instant you board.”

“That sounds dangerous!”

Sang Chu scooped up the hovercar while grumbling.

“Exactly why you must train!”

“Mm.”

She glanced at the trap she’d set in the bamboo grove and saw some small animals inside. After opening the storage box and stowing them away, she filled the trap in—someone stepping on it would be trouble.

Suddenly the ground rolled; the undulating shape hinted that something moved beneath.

“A-Chu, it should be an Earth Dragon!”

Earth Dragons are Level-Three mutated creatures, with bounties in the hundreds of thousands.

“Earth Split!”

With a sharp call, Sang Chu split the ground in two.

A huge brown earth dragon popped its head up. Sang Chu smiled slightly. “Perfect time to try the Thorn Vine Bind.”

The earth dragon lashed its thick tail viciously. Sang Chu extended her ten fingers; thorny vines shot out in an instant and coiled tightly around the dragon.

It writhed, but the vines only tightened.

“Bind!”

The thorny vines wrapped frenziedly until the dragon’s body was completely encased; blood dripped down.

The earth dragon gradually lost the will to fight. Sang Chu didn’t release her ability. Her fingers returned to normal as she opened the storage box and put the vine-bound earth dragon inside.

Tu You: “Why didn’t you release it before putting it away?”

“Earth dragons have strong regenerative ability—this is safer.”

“Xiao Yang!”

“Retreat, retreat!!!”

From not far off came piercing screams—one voice sounded particularly familiar.

Tu You: “Shall we go see?”

Sang Chu didn’t want to expose her abilities in front of strangers, so she drew the golden longsword and said, “Let’s go.”

She ran toward where the screams had come from.

There she saw a brown mutated frog’s tongue curled around a boy in protective gear.

The boy looked quite young.

Sang Chu wasn’t wearing protective gear—if a mercenary’s weapon hit her she would be injured. She glanced around and quickly used wind energy to climb a large tree.

She looked down at the people on the ground.

Zuo Xuefeng?

Tu You: “Isn’t that Zuo Xuefeng? Then that team must be his squad. But you’re not wearing protective gear—how are you going to save him?”

Sang Chu didn’t answer; instead she called loudly, “Zuo Xuefeng!”

Hearing his name called by an unfamiliar voice, Zuo Xuefeng looked toward the sound and saw Sang Chu in the tree!

He didn’t know how this mute girl could speak, or what she was doing here.

“Danger! Run!”

The shout drew the mutated frog’s attention; its raised head blocked the blind spot the squad had been attacking.

At that moment—

Sang Chu leaped down. Zuo Xuefeng’s eyes widened. “Cease fire! Cease fire!”

“She’s not wearing protective gear!”

No one expected that when they stopped shooting they wouldn’t be attacked by the mutated frog; instead they watched the frail woman slash through the frog’s tongue with a single stroke.

She grabbed its eye, used it for momentum to flip over its body, and as she passed she struck again—the mutated frog’s head toppled off and hit the ground, dead.
