The Starship’s lounge was filled with the rich, seductive aroma of rose juice.

The adjutant beside him found his own breathing growing ragged, his dark eyes fixed on the young woman on the sofa bed.

The adjutant’s mind was crushed by S Level spiritual power, snapping him back to clarity.

“This subordinate deserves death.”

“Have everyone withdraw from the Starship.”

The adjutant acknowledged the order and turned to leave, but then heard Ize emphasize, “That means *everyone*!”

The adjutant was crushed by the S Level pressure, struggling to breathe.

He stumbled out of the Starship, and the vessel’s floating ramp vanished instantly.

“Understood.”

The adjutant led everyone off the vessel.

The hatch slowly closed, leaving only Ize and Wen Ran alone on the vast Starship.

“So hot…

I’m so hot.” Wen Ran tore at her collar, her spoken words puffing out like steam.

Fair skin was exposed to the air, and her delicate collarbones became prominent.

Ize’s deep blue eyes glinted with a cold light.

He loosened his tie, then tapped a few commands into the control panel to shut down the Starship’s surveillance system.

After setting a course, he switched the vessel to autopilot.

The Starship lifted off the ground, and Black Earth Star shrank below them.

Wen Ran’s rationality had been burned to ashes.

Losing control, she threw herself into Ize’s arms, burying her face in his neck and deeply inhaling the scent of cedarwood on him.

Ize’s breathing was heavy.

He could feel Wen Ran’s lips repeatedly brushing against his Adam’s apple.

Her soft, teasing touch grazed the prominent line of his throat, sending shivers through him.

“Wen Ran,” Ize’s voice was hoarse, a flicker of desire crossing his eyes.

His large hand swept gently over the young woman’s slender back as he tried to use his spiritual power to soothe the heat wracking her body.

But it was like placing a thin sheet of ice on a bonfire; it would only turn to mist.

The act of applying this “ice” only intensified Wen Ran’s craving.

It was like pouring oil on a roaring fire.

BOOM—

The flames surged in an instant, a wall of fire that incinerated her reason and left only ashes.

“I hate this,” Wen Ran whimpered, her pearly teeth sinking into the soft flesh of Ize’s neck.

“Kiss me, please?”

Ize was still trying to remain rational, to suppress the turmoil in his heart.

But her soft, pleading tone…

how could anyone bear to refuse?

He gripped the young woman’s chin, his throat dry.

“Who am I?”

Wen Ran’s hazy eyes fluttered open a crack.

“I…

Ize.”

‘That was enough.

That was all he needed.’

His fingertips traced her cheek, the corners of his eyes turning crimson.

His large hand guided her down onto the sofa bed.

His long, slender fingers, elegant as bamboo, laced through hers.

His fingers warmed the cool Butterfly Ring as they intertwined.

With their hands clasped, he raised her arms above her head.

Her consciousness was once again dragged into a whirlpool.

Soft, cat-like moans rose and fell throughout the lounge.

The Starship flew past meteors as day and night blurred into one.

Ize took a small towel and wiped his fingers, meticulously removing every glistening droplet.

As if by wiping it away, he could pretend none of it had ever happened.

The young woman on the sofa bed was fast asleep, her delicate cheeks still flushed a faint pink.

Ize’s gaze fell on the suit jacket and royal blue tie tossed on the floor, and a flicker of displeasure crossed his eyes.

He unbuttoned his shirt and turned to enter the bathroom.

The RUSH of running water didn’t wake the sleeping woman, and neither did the low, pained grunt that followed.

Ize emerged from the bathroom drying his hair.

Now in a fresh set of clothes, he made a call.

By the time the Starship arrived at Emperor Star, the call was over.

Wen Ran was still sound asleep, so Ize had no choice but to carry her back to Rose Manor.

He had already instructed Hunter to dismiss the manor’s servants.

With swift yet steady steps, he opened the young woman’s bedroom door and placed her on the large bed.

The recent ordeal had made Wen Ran sweat profusely, and now, away from his warm embrace, a chill made her shiver.

Ize opened the closet and took out a set of open-collared pajamas.

He glanced at the pink panties in a drawer, took a deep breath, and pulled them out.

He wiped her body down with a towel soaked in hot water and changed her into the pajamas and panties.

Wen Ran immediately rolled under the covers and fell back into a sweet sleep.

As he was about to leave, his gaze was drawn to a pair of golden shoes by the door.

His expression darkened instantly.

He left the room with a cold look on his face, yet he closed the door with exceptional gentleness.

A knock sounded on the door of a second-floor guest room.

“Enter.”

When Ize walked in, the first thing he saw was a golden cage.

A look of astonishment flashed across his face.

“Wen Ran is young and likes to play around.

The novelty will wear off in a couple of days, and she’ll settle down.”

“Hah,” You Bufan sneered.

“Admiral Ize is quite protective of his own.”

“After the engagement is called off, you will be compensated.”

The scent of rose juice lingered in the air.

You Bufan stared at the closed door, lost in thought.

When Wen Ran opened her eyes again, it was morning.

She raised a hand to shield her eyes from the sunlight streaming through the window, and her gaze fell upon the ice-blue Butterfly Ring on her finger.

The butterfly was a perfect replica, large and beautiful.

It was exquisitely detailed, right down to the antennae on its head.

A jumble of fragmented images flashed through her mind.

The Starship lounge, a suit jacket on the floor, white lace panties carelessly tossed aside, hands with fingers intertwined, the fluttering wings of an ice-blue butterfly.

And Ize’s face, flushed with passion, his blue eyes filled with a possessive hunger.

Wen Ran checked her body. This story is hosted at novelpin‌g.com.

She didn’t feel any discomfort down there.

‘Oh my god, what on earth did I do!?!’

‘How could Ize be so…

lewd?’

She looked down at the pajamas she was wearing, and then at her panties—a completely different color than before.

Her heart screamed in panic.

She shot up in bed, but her body swayed and the world went dizzy.

She had entered her Spiritual Sea.

Within the sea was a landscape of lush green grass, dotted with roses of every color, and a clear lake.

But beyond that, there was nothing else.

She had pheromones, but no spiritual power.

And without spiritual power, there could be no Spiritual Body.

Without spiritual power, she couldn’t soothe a male’s Frenzy Value.

She was a useless good-for-nothing.

Wen Ran walked into the sea of flowers, and the roses automatically cleared a path for her.

Her fingertips brushed against the petals, feeling them press against her intimately, as if they were greeting her.

Reaching the center of the flower field, she discovered that a small sapling had sprouted in her Spiritual Sea.

The sapling had a few sparse green leaves.

Judging by their shape, it was not a rose bush.

‘Why would a tree suddenly sprout here out of nowhere?’

She was certain this tree hadn’t been in her Spiritual Sea before.

She tried to pull it out, but the moment she applied force, a sharp pain shot through her head.

It was like a fish bone stuck in her throat—impossible to swallow, impossible to cough up.

The little sapling had already taken root in her Spiritual Sea.

It couldn’t be removed, so she had no choice but to give up.

After exiting her Spiritual Sea, she went to the bathroom to take a shower.

As she took off the open-collared pajamas, she noticed pinkish marks on her chest.

‘It’s…’

She jumped in fright and rushed to the sink to check herself in the mirror.

‘Thank goodness.

They’re only on my chest, and they’re not too dark.

A little foundation should cover them up.’

Wen Ran breathed a sigh of relief, accidentally knocking over her purse, which was sitting on the counter.

A black card fell out of the purse with a web address written on it.

Wen Ran opened her Smart Brain and searched for the website.

To her surprise, she discovered it was a black market shopping site.

Elated, she browsed the site and found the medicine she needed.

The website repeatedly assured her that buyer information would be concealed.

Biting the bullet, Wen Ran filled in the manor’s address and paid.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.

There was a knock on the bedroom door.

“Miss Wen Ran, breakfast is ready.”

‘Going down for breakfast means I’ll have to face Ize…’ A sliver of panic rose in Wen Ran’s heart.
