“Thanks for speaking up for me just now,” An Ziqi said sincerely.
Xia Tianxing shook her head.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t see what happened earlier, so I can’t testify for you.”
“No, you’ve already helped me a lot.”
An Ziqi smiled and winked.
Without Xia Tianxing pointing out that surveillance video, this matter would have been much more troublesome.
Xia Tianxing didn’t insist further.
“How did you get into trouble with Lin Kelan?”
Lin Kelan was brash and haughty; everyone present knew who she was, and she didn’t think An Ziqi was the type to stir up trouble needlessly.
An Ziqi shrugged, looking helpless.
“We were classmates.
In school, when other students were bored and chose me as the ‘campus beauty,’ Lin Kelan, who is arrogant and proud, never accepted it.
Later on, the senior she liked said he liked me, and from then on, she hated me.
These are all old stories; I didn’t expect her to remember them till now.”
Xia Tianxing frowned, showing concern.
“With her personality, I’m afraid she might affect your upcoming competition.”
“Don’t worry, Changxing Group isn’t the only sponsor of the competition; she surely can’t manipulate everything.”
A smile unconsciously appeared on her lips.
Xia Tianxing seriously advised, “You’d better stay away from her in the future.”
“Understood,” An Ziqi nodded with a smile.
There were mirrors on the walls around the training ground; in fact, she had seen Xia Xiaotong arriving earlier.
But she deliberately fell on her, to teach them a lesson.
“Why are you practicing alone?”
After all, Xia Tianxing was once a big star; how come no one was grouped with her?
“I offended some people earlier and got blacklisted; probably they were afraid of being implicated,” Xia Tianxing said frankly.
“That’s perfect; the two of us can cause trouble for each other, maybe we’ll cancel each other out,” An Ziqi joked about themselves.
For the next period, the two of them got along very well.
At the end of the day’s training, everyone was exhausted.
An Ziqi and Xia Tianxing chatted and laughed as they left the training ground together.
“My house is very close to here; do you want to change into a clean set of clothes at my place before you go?”
Xia Tianxing pointed at her sweaty clothes, showing concern.
An Ziqi looked down at her clothes.
Although it was summer and the cold wasn’t an issue, summer clothes are thin and cling tightly when wet.
Thankfully, Xia Tianxing had noticed, and just as An Ziqi was about to agree, she saw a red Ferrari slowly passing by and stopping not far away.
Eh, isn’t that Moli’s car?
An Ziqi paused for a moment, then a smile appeared on her lips.
She turned to Xia Tianxing and said, “It’s okay, thank you, but I have to go first.”
After saying that, she waved at her and then ran towards the car.
Xia Tianxing watched in surprise as the Ferrari parked nearby.
Owning such a car, the owner surely had a background no less influential than Lin Kelan.
Seeing An Ziqi’s modest clothing and low-key demeanor, she hadn’t expected her to have such a background.
It seemed today’s incident wouldn’t harm An Ziqi even without her help.
Shaking her head with a smile, she turned and walked toward her own home.
In the distance, Lin Kelan was nearly crushing her phone in her hand.
