Upon hearing about something delicious, Gyarados quickly re-entered the sea to catch the fish it had caught yesterday.

The taste of that fish was something it could never forget.

It was simply too delicious.Full novel: Pokémon: I Thought This Was A Beast-Taming World! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Today it definitely had to catch a few more, no, catch a lot more.

And finally eat the Berry and juice given by the Trainer.

That way, it could perfectly enjoy eating good things.

And it wouldn’t waste its small stomach.

“This big guy, as soon as it hears about having dinner, just charges straight into the sea.” Kain laughed and scolded as he looked at Dratini.

He already knew what kind of fish Gyarados would bring up in a moment; it must have gotten hooked on eating tuna, which was why it went down in such a fiery rush.

But Kain still waited, since he also quite liked eating tuna.

It was just that he couldn’t hold his breath underwater for too long, otherwise he would also want to go down and see what the seabed was like.

It must be very beautiful.

And also very dangerous, given that there were so many powerful creatures living there.

“Dratini~ Dratini~”

Dratini rolled its eyes, and with a whoosh, it also dived into the sea.

Provoked by what Kain had just said, it also wanted to eat that fish, and its cravings were acting up.

It was also impatient to go into the sea.

If it could catch more of those fish, it would try to catch as many as possible, so it could eat its fill all at once.

“Sigh~”

Kain just extended his hand and then pulled it back; as long as they liked it, he was just acting as a chef anyway.

Besides, he was also sharing in their good fortune to be able to eat these foods.

Time flew by, and a dozen minutes later, the red figure drilled out, dragging two large fish with its tail.

But unfortunately, only one of them was a tuna.

The other was a normal hairtail fish, but it was quite large in size.

That hairtail fish kept thrashing about on Gyarados’s body, but upon being touched by a burst of energy that appeared in Gyarados’s mouth, it fainted.

Hairtail: So unmartial!

You actually use a move on a normal creature like me.

“Where is Little One? Why isn’t she in sight?”

Kain asked as he looked at the fish Gyarados had placed on the ground.

He didn’t know if it had seen Dratini.

“Roar~”

Gyarados shook its head; it hadn’t seen Dratini’s figure.

“I see, then we’ll wait a bit longer.”

Kain quietly leaned against Gyarados’s body, watching the sea surface and waiting for Dratini to return.

More than ten minutes passed, and there was movement on the sea surface once again.

Dratini made a Splash from the sea, and two tunas behind it were slapped up by its tail.

Kain simply felt that Little One had gone straight for the tuna.

“Dratini~ Dratini~”

Dratini nodded happily.

It had brought back two tunas, so it had to eat a big meal.

The previous fish really didn’t last long; it hadn’t eaten to its heart’s content before they were all gone.

Now that there were so many, it didn’t believe it couldn’t satisfy its cravings in one go.

“There’s going to be a lot to do tonight.”

Kain chuckled lightly and called out for Gyarados to take all the fish and go home.

If you want to eat something, you always have to pay a price, and physical effort is an important payment.

At dusk, red clouds hung across the horizon, and Dratini and Gyarados, just like before, kept watching Kain make dinner.

It was still that glowing food, and the fragrance had already drifted into their noses.

Right from the beginning, Kain had said that they couldn’t disturb him, otherwise they probably would have already rushed into the kitchen by now.

“Dratini~”

It’s glowing again.

What on earth is the reason why the delicious food Kain makes is like this?

“Roar~”

If I knew, I would be a master chef just like the Trainer.

“Dratini~”

That’s true, with a body as big as yours, it’s impossible to do such precise things.

“Roar~”

How can you look down on a person…

a Pokémon.

“Dratini~”

See for yourself, can you do it?

“Roar~”

Cannot!

The two Pokémon were whispering to each other, except towards the end, Gyarados answered Dratini with a lack of confidence.

“Dratini~”

Dratini landed happily on Gyarados’s head, as if it had won a major victory.

The time waiting for food passed very slowly; clearly it was normal time, but Dratini and the other felt as if an extremely long time had passed.

That fragrance had already hooked their souls right out.

“Alright, time to eat.”

Kain called out, and Dratini flew into the living room at wind-like speed.

Waiting at the dining table to be fed by Kain.

But this time Kain seemed to have made a new creation for them.

Where are the fish?

Looking at the large bowl of noodles in front of it, Dratini raised a question.

It clearly saw the Trainer processing the fish, but why by dinnertime could it no longer see a trace of the fish?

“Big guy, are you wondering where the fish are?”

Kain anticipated what kind of expression Dratini would have, so he leaned in front of Dratini and asked it.

“Dratini~ Dratini~”

Dratini nodded; indeed, that was the case.

Where are the fish?

It couldn’t possibly have been eaten by the Trainer, right?

Impossible, absolutely impossible; the Trainer is not that kind of person.

Even if Gyarados secretly ate them, it couldn’t possibly be the Trainer who ate them.

“Hehe, you’ll know once you eat it. I’m going to feed the big guy first. Do you want to know the answer now, or reveal it yourself?”

Kain said, deliberately keeping them in suspense.

Dratini fell into deep thought, then shook its head; it wanted to stay here.

“Then I’ll be leaving first.”

Kain picked up the large bucket, walked out of the living room, and came to the backyard.

Gyarados had already been waiting impatiently here.

It just didn’t understand why the Trainer only brought out one bucket; could all the fish be inside the bucket?

“Time to eat.”

“Roar~”

Seeing the noodles inside the bucket, Gyarados was deeply disappointed; it had the same thought as Dratini.

Weren’t there so many fish?

How come it couldn’t see where the fish were at all?

Did the Trainer secretly hide them?

That couldn’t be; they had been outside watching the Trainer the whole time without even blinking.

If the Trainer had made any moves, they would have discovered it long ago.

“What? Not eating? This is good stuff.”

Kain said, shaking the large bucket.

This meal had cost him a lot of effort.

The juice squeezed from those Berries served as the soup base, and then all the fish meat was picked out, chopped into stuffing, and combined with flour to make noodles.

Don’t look at it as just noodles; actually, this was the fish meat itself.

Of the fish caught at dusk, only one hairtail was left untouched, and all the rest were made into noodles.

Gyarados sniffed at the noodles inside the bucket; it seemed to have discovered something amiss.

Why were the noodles emitting the aroma of the fish meat it wanted to eat?

Could it be that the fish meat was actually hidden under the noodles?

“Roar~”

Thinking of this, Gyarados let out a soft roar at Kain; if that were the case, that would be simply fantastic.
