“Roar~”

Gyarados was wriggling its body nearby; the aroma of the Berry was too tempting, and it could hardly hold back.

Kain smiled and called out to them, harvesting the Berries together.

Having them around was truly convenient.

When he harvested for the first time, he had to struggle to climb the tree, but they didn’t need to because they could fly.

“Roar~”

Gyarados let out a deafening roar in response, but its gaze remained fixed on the Berries in the tree.

Besides the blue and light purple ones, that purple Berry was its absolute favorite.

A moment later, it must pick these Berries first, and it would be best to secretly eat a few.

Dragonair had the same thought as Gyarados, but its gaze was much easier for others to notice.

Kain noticed both of their gazes.

Worried that the two Little Ones would directly eat all the Berries while harvesting, he decided to speak in advance.

“Um, neither of you should eat them right now. How about we slowly enjoy eating them after we finish harvesting?”

“Roar~”

“Dragonair~”

Gyarados and Dragonair thought about it and nodded as well.

Then they quickly began harvesting the Berries in the tree.

Their actions could knock down quite a few Berries all at once.

This exhausted Kain.

He held a backbasket, catching the falling Berries.

“Slower, slower.”

Kain became even busier.

Fortunately, he had noticed that his body had become much stronger.

Otherwise, under these circumstances, he might have worked himself half to death.

Half an hour later, looking at the thirty-six boxes filled with Berries placed on the ground,

Kain washed a few Berries and fed them to Gyarados and Dragonair.

“Here, you must be craving them badly.”

Kain said with a smile.

The large and small creatures opened their big mouths and happily ate the Berries.

Of course, Dragonair ate with great relish.

Gyarados couldn’t do the same.

Its mouth was larger than Dragonair’s, and its body was bigger too.

Before it could even taste those few Berries, they had already gone down its stomach.

In response, Gyarados could only keep its big eyes wide open, staring at Kain while lowering its head and rubbing back and forth against his arm. You are reading on novelping.com, the official source.

Letting out a soft cry from its mouth, “Roar~~Roar~~”

“Big guy, you finished them all at once, and yet you’re still showing Charm, wanting to eat more.”

Kain looked at Gyarados and smiled as he stroked its head.

Having such a massive guy using Charm in his arms really looked a bit unexpected.

It didn’t fit its massive physique at all.

“Roar~”

“Alright, alright, I’ll give you a few more, but you must eat them slowly. Don’t go swallowing them in one bite like Zhu Bajie eating ginseng fruit without tasting the flavor at all.”

“Otherwise, I won’t give you any more.”

Kain had no choice but to feed Gyarados a few more aqua-blue Berries.

This time, Gyarados chewed the Berries slowly and gently.

It never ate all the Berries in one gulp again.

“Dragonair~”

“Alright, alright, I’ll give you a few too. You’re the most well-behaved.”

Kain didn’t play favorites.

Since Gyarados got a few extra, he naturally had to give the other Little One the same Berries.

(Note: The protagonist doesn’t know the Pokémon’s names yet. I am writes the Pokémon’s names so that readers can distinguish them more easily.)

Kain spat out a Berry pit, looked at Gyarados and Dragonair who had finished eating, and said, “Let’s go, carry these to the basement; they can be preserved better there.”

“Dragonair~”

“Roar~”

Gyarados and the other excitedly brought the boxes and walked toward the basement.

After classifying and storing the Berries one by one, everything was done.

However, these special items still aroused the curiosity of Gyarados and Dragonair.

What on earth were these items?

Clearly they looked so small, yet they could hold so many things.

How magical~

“What’s wrong? Let’s go, time to exercise on the island.”

It was time for exercise again.

Anyway, compared to when he first arrived, he now possessed extremely strong physical fitness.

Running around the island didn’t even take a few minutes.

He even had enough strength to smash a boulder to pieces.

If he returned to his hometown, he could practically be considered a little Superman.

Exercise was still mainly long-distance running, but after running a few laps this time, Gyarados seemed to have discovered something and urged Kain.

“What’s wrong? Did you discover something?”

Kain looked at Gyarados and guessed.

“Roar~”

Gyarados nodded, indicating that was indeed the case, and it was even a person.

Kain became interested, wanting to see what Gyarados had found that made it so excited.

However, upon arriving at the destination, he understood why Gyarados was so excited.

He discovered a person.

A person was unconscious on the shore.

“Oh ho~ It’s actually a person? And a woman? Is this someone who was shipwrecked?”

Kain said in surprise.

He quickened his pace and came to the shore.

After checking the person’s condition and finding that her chest was still rising and falling with breath, he called Gyarados to carry the person back home.

“To actually be able to save someone here. Still, she is quite lucky not to have been attacked by those creatures.”

Kain thought, looking at the tall figure on Gyarados’s back.

This woman had bronze skin, wore blue clothes, and had wave patterns on them.

“Woo~ Where am I? What happened?”

Shelly woke up in a daze, rubbing her throbbing head as she thought.

Suddenly, she remembered something.

She had a mission to search for the Blue Orb needed by the leader.

But on the way, her fleet encountered huge waves.

Of course, if it were ordinary waves, it wouldn’t be a big deal; her Pokémon could handle them.

But they were at the bottom of the sea.

And this was caused by a Pokémon.

Three Dragonites were fighting another Pokémon.

They were just caught in the aftermath.

Then she didn’t know anything else; when she woke up, she was right here.

“Oi, you’re awake.”

When Kain went upstairs, he happened to see signs of Shelly moving.

“Who are you?”

Shelly asked Kain, enduring the pain in her body.

Could it be that he saved her?

“Oh, my name is Kain. I found you on the shore, and seeing that you were still breathing, I brought you back.”

Kain smiled gently.

Looking at his smile, a trace of vigilance flashed in Shelly’s eyes; she couldn’t lower her guard.

“Thank you for saving me. I am a scholar from the Hoenn Region, but I encountered a shipwreck at sea.”

Shelly explained with a smile.

“Is that so? That’s really bad luck.”

Kain didn’t say anything more.

This person really did have bad luck.
