After Shelly stood on Gyarados’s head and left the island for nearly twenty kilometers, she finally took out her communicator to contact the others from Team Aqua.
“Is this Admin Shelly?”
“Yeah, I’m at this location right now. Come pick me up.”
“That’s great, Admin Shelly, it’s so good that you’re okay. The boss was extremely worried after learning that something happened to you, and now he will be happy too. We’ll be right there.”
The member on the other side of the communicator replied joyfully.
Shelly, having hung up the communicator, glanced back and waited for Team Aqua to arrive.
Rumrumrum~
Half an hour later, a submarine emerged from the seabed.
“Admin, we’ve arrived. Please come inside first, and we will head straight to the headquarters.”
“Kain, see you in the future.”
…
After Shelly left for a while, the estate became a bit quieter.
It returned to the usual routine.
Every day, Kain only did a few things: waking up, cooking, exercising, and sleeping.
These things were as regular as clockwork.
However, on this day, while Kain was tapping on the shell of a Krabby, Gyarados suddenly popped out from the sea.
“Roar~”
It roared loudly, and it sounded quite excited.
“Gyarados, what’s wrong with you? Going for a dive made you this excited.”
Kain asked it curiously.
“Roar~ Roar~”
Gyarados roared excitedly, its tail rolling up several blue stones and placing them in Kain’s hands.
“What is this? Blue stones, are they some kind of treasure?”
Kain didn’t understand what these things were, but judging by Gyarados’s expression, they must have been good things.
“Roar~”
This time, Gyarados just let out a Roar and immediately dived back into the sea.
“Hey, you haven’t answered me yet.”
“Crab, do you think these stones are good things?”
Kain asked, tapping Krabby on the head.
Since Gyarados had left, he had no choice but to turn to the crab nearby.
Krabby looked at Kain in bewilderment, but still nodded its claw.
This definitely had to be a good thing.
“Are you confirming this? That’s really great. I didn’t expect to encounter such good things. However, I have no idea what these stones are used for.”
Kain had already determined that these were good things, but well, he just didn’t know how to use them.
One thing he could be sure of was that they would benefit Gyarados and the others.
Splash~
After waiting a few minutes, Gyarados and Dragonair both came up, each carrying a box on their backs.
“Did you guys find some kind of treasure?” This chapter is updated first at g.com.
This was Kain’s first thought.
Otherwise, how could these two boxes possibly appear?
There were even some symbols on top.
“It looks like the letter R.”
Kain said, touching the box.
“Gyarados, where did you guys find this?”
Kain asked Gyarados.
He just saw it Roar with its mouth wide open, but seeing that Kain really couldn’t understand what it was saying…
Dragonair on the side began to draw on the ground with its tail.
A drawing of a ship appeared on the ground.
“Oh~ You mean there is a sunken ship in the sea, and these were found from the ship.”
Kain suddenly understood; so that was what it meant.
However, it would be great if he could understand what Gyarados and the others were saying, instead of having to guess and piece things together during conversations like now.
“The things Gyarados brought out just now, could they all be the same blue stones it brought out earlier?”
Kain guessed as he opened the boxes.
What met his eyes were two boxes of identical stones, blue and quite pretty.
“It really is. Such pretty stones must sell for quite a high price outside. It would have been great if Shelly hadn’t left so soon, otherwise I could have asked her about them.”
“Let’s go, take them back.”
Kain greeted them, and Gyarados and Dragonair carried the boxes back toward the estate.
Krabby looked at their retreating figures from the seaside; it actually really wanted to follow along as well.
After spending some time together, it really liked Kain and wanted to become his Pokémon.
However, if it just followed them like this, what if they didn’t want it?
Krabby was having a brainstorm.
It wanted to follow them, but was afraid that Kain wouldn’t want it.
After all, Pokémon being abandoned by their Trainers wasn’t something that had never happened before.
“Hey, what are you standing there for? Let’s go together.”
Kain called out as he looked at Krabby.
“King~”
Krabby looked at Kain in disbelief.
Was he really calling it?
“Otherwise, are there any other creatures on this shore?”
Kain smiled slightly and waved at Krabby.
Actually, when he first saw Krabby, he had thought that cooking and eating it would probably taste very good.
But after discovering that it was a Pokémon, he didn’t have any other thoughts about that.
Eating Pokémon gave him a sense of guilt.
Then, in the following days, Krabby kept coming to play with him every day, so he planned to take it along with him.
Anyway, his house was quite big, and the pool in the backyard was also large enough for them to live in.
“King~”
Krabby excitedly followed in Kain’s footsteps.
It was now an official Pokémon.
“By the way, did you see any ordinary crabs on the shore?”
On the way, Kain asked Krabby.
He was craving seafood.
The seafood porridge he ate before, although called seafood porridge, actually used dried seafood that was already in the estate.
He wanted to eat freshly caught ones.
Krabby looked at Kain: “King~”
Are they my kin?
If the Trainer needs them, I can call them up.
“Although I don’t know what you’re saying, what I mean is probably quite different from what you’re talking about.”
Looking at Krabby’s clear gaze, Kain immediately changed his words.
Forget it, I won’t have it look for these.
I’d better do it myself and see if I can find any.
“King~”
“What’s so different about it?”
Krabby looked at Kain in bewilderment.
However, it had already remembered what Kain said, which was to go find the crabs he mentioned.
Since they weren’t like itself, they must have looked different.
Krabby thought deeply.
After entering the estate, Krabby was welcomed by Gyarados and Dragonair.
There was another new member in the big family.
However, Krabby was attracted by something in the backyard.
Regarding this, Gyarados understood deeply.
It had been like this back then as well.
It brought Dragonair along to tell Krabby about the situation here.
That was, the fruit trees in the backyard could not be touched casually.
They were our food, but not directly.
Instead, the Trainer used them to make food, which was what we ate.
Krabby understood; so that was what it meant.
After understanding everything, Krabby jumped into the small lake with a splash.
This place was much more comfortable than the sea outside.
