At the Green Park on the east side of Motostoke Square—

“Pick one from these kids.”

After a few seconds of thought, Noah exchanged four new Digimon from the system shop.Full novel: Pokémon: I’m The Digimon Emperor — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He released them in two groups in front of Nessa and Marnie.

“More Digimon I’ve never seen before!”

As the white light faded, revealing the true forms of the four new Digimon,

Sonia’s eyes sparkled with excitement.

“Syakomon, Water + Rock-type.

Its signature moves are [Obscuring Mist], which can disrupt the enemy’s vision, and [Coral Pressure], which fires high-pressure water jets from its arms.”

Noah introduced them to the group.

Halfway through, he glanced at Sonia.

“What are you standing there for, assistant?

Hurry up and take notes—we need to upload this to the Pokédex later.”

Sonia pouted unhappily and muttered:

“I’m not your assistant.”

But even though her mouth was stubborn, her body was honest.

The moment he finished speaking, Sonia quickly pulled out her camera to take photos and jotted down everything Noah said.

Noah then pointed to another Digimon covered in white fluff, looking even cuter—a little sea lion-like creature.

“Gomamon, pure Water-type.

More mischievous in personality compared to Syakomon.

Its claws can easily shatter ice.

Its signature move is [Marching Fishes].”

Since Nessa was a Water-type trainer,

Naturally, the two Digimon Noah prepared for her were also Water-types.

And both had relatively easygoing temperaments, making them easier to train.

Given Nessa’s current level, giving her a Digimon with higher potential would be wasted anyway.

Syakomon’s evolution, Shellmon, was actually the first villain Digimon defeated by the protagonist group in the original series—

The one taken down solo by Greymon.

And Gomamon, of course, needed no introduction—

It was the partner of Joe Kido, one of the original Chosen Children.

After finishing Nessa’s introduction, Noah turned his attention to Marnie.

Unlike Nessa’s pair of Water-types, which were either goofy or cute,

Marnie’s two Digimon had been causing a ruckus ever since they were summoned—

Basically the definition of ‘little brats’.

Gatomon jumped down from Noah’s shoulder, annoyed, and gave each of them a [Cat Punch],

And only then did they finally settle down.

“DemiDevimon, Dark + Flying-type.

Often serves as a familiar to stronger Dark-type Digimon.

Its attack power isn’t great, but it’s skilled in tricks and schemes.

Its signature move is [Mini Darts], which drains the target’s stamina.”

“Impmon, pure Dark-type.

A mischievous Digimon that craves power.

Its signature move is [Dark Fire], which attacks enemies with dark flames.”

These two Digimon also had high appearances in the series.

The former was basically the Digimon equivalent of Zubat—you’d run into it everywhere.

The latter was known as the number one ‘redeemed villain’ in the Digital World, and its potential was undeniably high—

It even evolved into one of the Seven Great Demon Lords.

After a while,

“I’ve decided—I want this one!”

Nessa scooped up Gomamon and pressed her face against it.

The duo’s combined good looks could easily pass for a magazine cover.

Noah had expected Nessa to pick Gomamon.

After all, these two Water-type Digimon weren’t even in the same league when it came to looks.

Marnie, meanwhile, was in a brief dilemma.

In terms of appearance, Impmon and DemiDevimon were about even.

But as a Dark-type enthusiast,

Marnie thought both were adorable in their own way.

“I’ll take this one.”

Marnie lifted Impmon by the armpits with both hands.

Noah then recalled Syakomon and DemiDevimon.

He could save them for other promising talents he’d meet later.

“Excuse me, could I have a moment?”

Just then, a middle-aged man’s voice suddenly sounded.

Everyone turned instinctively.

Sonia was the first to recognize him, slightly surprised:

“Ch-Chairman Rose!?”

Rose walked up with his hands in his pockets, with Oleana by his side.

Nessa, holding Gomamon in her arms, instinctively averted her gaze, unable to meet his eyes.

Even though she’d just decided to resign,

Seeing her former boss still made her a little nervous.

Fortunately, Rose’s attention wasn’t on her.

“Professor Noah, I’ve long heard of your reputation.

Could we have a talk?”

Rose extended his hand with a smile.

Noah didn’t refuse the invitation.

In a way, he and Rose had similar goals.

Noah wanted to turn Alola into the strongest League.

Rose’s mission was to strengthen Galar.

The difference was that Noah wasn’t as fanatical as Rose.

To put it simply,

Noah treated building the Alola League as a side quest.

And his main quest was to enjoy life.

But for Rose, strengthening Galar was his main quest—and even his final objective.

Half an hour later, they sat facing each other in the most luxurious private room at the Budew Drop Inn.

“If Chairman Rose wants to take Marnie and Nessa back—that’s non-negotiable.”

Noah made his stance clear right away.

He didn’t mind if someone else had driven the car before—as long as it was cleaned.

But since he’d taken it, there was no giving it back.

“Don’t misunderstand, Professor Noah—that’s not why I invited you.”

Rose gestured for the beautiful waitress to pour drinks for them.

After toasting Noah, he said with a smile:

“A talent like Professor Noah is wasted in Alola.

Why not come to Galar and spread your wings?”

Noah almost spat out his red wine.

Well, well—he’d underestimated Rose.

He hadn’t come to take Marnie and Nessa back.

He came to poach Noah himself.
